  • Tips/tricks/gotchas for using System.Diagnostics.Process and Process.Start

    I've used Process.Start to shell out and call 7zip to archive stuff I've also used it to call ffmpeg to compress video files. That was a while ago..but I rememeber there was some issue about the pcocess stalling if you don't read off the standardoutput/error. I don't remember everything about it. Does anyone have experience using System.Diagnostics.Process for the purposes of initiating a long running process and waiting for it to finish? Thanks

    Hi all, Trying to compile a iPhone/iPad application with SDK3.2 and am getting this error: Undefined symbols: "_main", referenced from: Start in crt1.10.5.o Symbol(s) not found Collect2: Id returned 1 exit status I think it's telling me that it's somehow trying to work with code from another SDK but searching the web has not provided any clear answers. Anyone able to guide me on this and what to look for?

    So I have a huge maze of activities in my application. What I need to do, is that when the user logs in into the system, the activity history should be cleared. I cant just use finish() when I start a new activity, because I want the activities to have a history until the user logs in.     I made a smart device application in c# and I want to run it at startup (I know how to do that) but the problem is that I can't make my application to run minimized (hidden) on the first time. I've tried this.Hide() and this.Visible = false and also used ShowWindow API with SW_HIDE(6) but non of them worked. It seems it's impossible to use these methods on Form_Load() or in InitializeComponent() to start the application minimized or hidden. anyone can help me with this ?

    I have one two divs and two seperate links that triggers slideDown and slideUp for the divs. When one of the divs are slided down and I click the other one, I hide the first div (slidingUp) and then open the other div (slidingDown) but, at the moment its like while one div is sliding down, the other, also in the same time, is sliding up. is there a way that would tell jquery to wait to finish sliding down of one div and only then start sliding up the other ?
