  • WPF element binding across seperate windows-how to do?

    I can do element-to-element binding in WPF: For example, I've got a window that has a slider control and a textbox, and the textbox dynamically displays the Value property of the slider as the user moves the slider. But how do i do this across seperate windows (in the same project, same namespace) ? The reason is that my main application window containing the textbox has a menu option that will open an 'options' window containing the slider control. Thanks.

    Hi, We have a created a subsite to the SharePoint 2010 Mysite (used blank site) called "home". This site uses the mysite.master master page. The problem is the top link (navigation) bar from MySite is not showing up on the subsite... Any ideas? If I open the home site in Share Point Designer - the navigation bar does show up... But not in the browser... Any help would be greatly appreciated! Terry

  • Does Chrome always adds an XLS extension on a vnd.ms-excel mime type?

    It seems that a simple download of a PHP generated CSV file (with a vnd.ms-excel mime type for the sake of opening it with (Open)Office readly upon the "Save as..." dialog, when present) always gets the unwanted .xls extension when the UA is Google Chrome. The file would then be named as myfile.csv.xls. Firefox behaves correctly. I wonder if it is a bug, a feature or a misunderstanding of some references. Thank you.

    I have navigation based app, when I click on any row in root view, the next view should come in Landscape mode. I am not able to find a proper way to implement this. What I tried is: - (BOOL)shouldAutorotateToInterfaceOrientation:(UIInterfaceOrientation)interfaceOrientation { return UIInterfaceOrientationIsLandscape(interfaceOrientation); } But this is not working. The view should open only in Landscape mode (not when user rotate it). Can any one help me. Thanks

    When I checkout, checkin, rename soemthing in Vs 2008 SP1 while I have the project open in Expression Blend 3, these changes are not updated in Blend until I close and reopen the solution in blend or I try to checkout/checkin an item that is aready checked out. Is this a known bug? And is there a workaround?

In my app I have the typical DB class needed to perform tasks on DB without having to write everywhere in code mysql_connect/mysql_select_db/mysql... (moreover in future I might decide to use another type of DB engine in place of mySQL so obviously I need a class of abstration).     I'm trying to edit an XML schema in Visual Studio 2010 Ultimate RC, but when I go to the toolbox (with the schema open and focused) there's absolutely nothing in the Toolbox view, even when every tutorial out there that I've read tells me that there should be. I've tried using the context menu option for resetting the Toolbox to no effect. Is there something I'm missing ? Something I need to install to get this feature of Visual Studio going ?

This program can then optimize the input properties based on the output values of your algorithm. See this paper or the user documentation for more information (see link above; sadly doc is a zipped exe). Do you know other software which can do the same which runs under Linux? I saw the openTextFile for option but didn't have. I implement it by openning the file with the red flag and then reading line after line.
