  • Using MSBuild, how to construct a dynamic string from iterating over files in an ItemGroup?

    I need to create multiple /testcontainer: parameters to feed into a task that exec's MsTest. I have the following : <ItemGroup> <TestFiles Include="$(ProjectPath)\**\UnitTest.*.dll" /> </ItemGroup> for each match in TestFiles I would like to build a string like so: "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary1.dll" "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary2.dll" "/testcontainer:UnitTest.SomeLibrary3.dll" I am trying to use the internals of MSBuild without having to create a custom task, is this possible ?   • Visual Studio Deployment Package - change the file structure the .zip creates?

    Everything works as expected but I would like to improve the directory structure that the .zip produces. When I create a deployment package I have it create in a custom directory which works fine but the .zip it creates is in the structure of: content/c_c/users/pcName/documents/VS2010/Projects/ProjectName/obj/release/package/packageTmp Only in the packageTmp directory do I get to the files I want! Is there a way for the created zip to not include all of those empty directories?

I want to do a regular expression search where they are the same. Right now, I am just searching for all CustomValidators.

  • Help me understand making maven project w/ non-maven jar dependencies usable by others

    Hi, I'm in the process of learning maven (and java packaging & distribution) with a new oss project I'm making as practice. Here's my situation, all java of course: My main project is ProjectA, maven-based in a github repository. I have also created one utility project, maven-based, in github: ProjectB. ProjectA depends on a project I have heavily modified that originally was from a google-code ant-based repository, ProjectC. So, how do I set up the build for ProjectA such that someone can download ProjectA.jar and use it without needing to install jars for ProjectB and ProjectC, and also how do I set up the build such that someone could check out ProjectA and run only 'mvn package' for a full compile? (Additionally, what should I do with my modified version of ProjectC? include the class files directly into ProjectA, or fork the project into something that could then be used by as a maven dependency?) I've been reading around, links such as this SO question and this SO question, but I'm unclear how those relate to my particular circumstance. So, any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

  • Spring Data Neo4J @Indexed(unique = true) not working

    I'm new to Neo4J and I have, probably an easy question. There're NodeEntitys in my application, a property (name) is annotated with @Indexed(unique = true) to achieve the uniqueness like I do in JPA with @Column(unique = true). My problem is, that when I persist an entity with a name that already exists in my graph, it works fine anyway. But I expected some kind of exception here...?! Here' s an overview over basic my code: @NodeEntity public abstract class BaseEntity implements Identifiable { @GraphId private Long entityId; ... } public class Role extends BaseEntity { @Indexed(unique = true) private String name; ... } public interface RoleRepository extends GraphRepository<Role> { Role findByName(String name); } @Service public class RoleServiceImpl extends BaseEntityServiceImpl<Role> implements { private RoleRepository repository; @Override @Transactional public T save(final T entity) { return getRepository().save(entity); } } And this is my test: @Test public void testNameUniqueIndex() { final List<Role> roles = Lists.newLinkedList(service.findAll()); final String existingName = roles.get(0).getName(); Role newRole = new Role.Builder(existingName).build(); newRole = service.save(newRole); } That's the point where I expect something to go wrong! Even without the keyword the custom error settings in web.config are used (redirection to specified page). Thanks

    When I try to create an object of Graphics, why doesn't the following work? System.Drawing.Graphics graphicsObj = new System.Drawing.Graphics(); (I am aware that I could create a private System.Windows.Forms.Panel Obj; and then do CreateGraphics() if I wanted it to work) I tried to find a custom constructor for Graphics, but I couldn't find one. Where did Microsoft define it, or how did it block it?

Now apparently they use their own custom compiler and language that will translate the source code to more "accessible" languages such as PHP and (I think) C#. Is there a name for this language? What does a hello world look like in it? Is there any hope of seeing this compiler released to the public?

  • How can I vary the height of some keys within a row?

    I'm creating a custom keyboard layout. The SDK allows changing the width of keys in a row (as in ThickButtons), but ideally I'd like to be able to vary both the height and width of keys within a row (and still have the keys occupy all the available space.) Another way of looking at this is that I want to allow some keys to be in more than one contiguous row. Any ideas would help. Thank you.

Everything works fine until I either click on a pin or change the map to a different view(satellite/road)... when I do either of these, my pins will revert back to the classic red color.     I have VS 2010 and Word 2010. In Word 2010 there is sometimes a message/warning bar that pops up under the ribbon but above the body of the document that allows the user to do an action. It looks something like this... Can I programmatically though VSTO or Interop create a custom bar that allows the user to click a button and then it executes some code.   • Many tables for many users?

    I am new to web programming, so excuse the ignorance... ;-) I have a web application that in many ways can be considered to be a multi-tenant environment. By this I mean that each user of the application gets their own 'custom' environment, with absolutely no interaction between those users. So far I have built the web application as a 'single user' environment. In other words, I haven't actually done anything to support multi-users, but only worked on the functionality I want from the app. Here is my problem... What's the best way to build a multi-user environment: All users point to the same 'core' backend. In other words, I build the logic to separate users via appropriate SQL queries (eg. select * from table where user='123' and attribute='456'). Each user points to a unique tablespace, which is built separately as they join the system. In this case I would simply generate ALL the relevant SQL tables per user, with some sort of suffix for the user. (eg. now a query would look like 'select * from table_ where attribute ='456'). In short, it's a difference between "select * from table where USER=" and "select * from table_USER".

  • Android 2.1 gallery not backward compatible with Cupcake version, now what?

    I don't know why, but in Eclair, the default (non-fancy) gallery app changed its begaviour from the Cupcake version, and it broke one of my commercial applications :-( Firstly, when long-pressing a gallery and choosing "Diashow", it does not publish an Intent to be picked up by any application that implements the Intent filter anymore. Instead, it will directly call "com.android.gallery/com.android.camera.ViewImage" with extras. Question: is it still possible to intercept this intent and allow the user to choose my application to do the Diashow? Secondly, the intent extras for the VIEW intent are messed up (in my build of 2.1 anyway): Instead of providing the BucketId of the picture in the Intent's queryparameter. But in 2.1, the BucketId is moved to the Intent's extras. Except; it is not passing the BUCKET_ID, but the unlocalized BUCKET_DISPLAY_NAME instead :-/ Question: how can I still get the unique BUCKET_ID from the intent, so that I do not have to work with a potentially non-unique BUCKET_DISPLAY_NAME? Is there anybody out there who has come up with a working solution for these problems? I thought the whole idea of Android Intents was to be able to integrate your applications with the base Android environment, but my build of 2.1 proves that this idea still lives in the land of Theory :-(

  • wix sfxca binding to CLR v 2.0 instead of v4.0

    Iam building managed custom actions using .net 4.0, but when i package the installer and run it,it fails giving me "assembly is built by newer version" error. In the install log I can also see that the SfxCA is binding to v2.0 instead of 4.0, how can i configure it so it loads the v 4.0 version many thanks
