    There is a java table in my application which has 1 column & 5 rows. Contents of rows are as below. These contents are arranged in descending order 172-18-zfs MKTLAB NFSVOL datastore1 datastore1(1) after clicking on column header it get sort in asceding order & order is like this datastore1(1) datastore1 NFSVOL MKTLAB 172-18-zfs Through QTP i want to check whether this sortig is correct or not. I have used sort() method of dictionary but it doesnt give expected result. It just sort according to alphabatical order. In expected sorting order 1st priority should be to small letter then to capital letter then to number.

  • How to detect crashing tabed webbrowser and handle it?

    I have a desktop application (forms) with a tab control, I assign a tab and a new custom webrowser control. I open up about 10 of these tabs. Each one visits about 100 - 500 different pages. The trouble is that if 1 webbrowser control has a problem it shuts down the entire program. I want to be able to close the offending webbrowser control and open a new one in it's place. Is there any event that I need to subscribe to catch a crashing or unresponsive webbrowser control ?     The receiver is my website, the sender is the same but the medium is noisy, a user. He will read an alphanumeric code of length 6 and later input the same code to identify a resource. A good use for a error correcting code, I thought, and rather than do the research I thought I'd just put the question out there. Or I might be going about it the wrong way, since the situation is rather like sending a perfect dictionary along with every transmission. The requirements on the code are simply: 6 alphanumeric digits, to start with until I run out, anyway. If the user gets it wrong I should still be able to identify the right resource. No resource is preferable to the wrong one. Easy to code or have free libraries for .net Any suggestions?

  • Entity update from ASP.NET MVC page with post to Edit action

The client entity itself is provided via the GET Edit action. Now I want to do entity update but so far I've only been trying without first loading the entity from the DB. Because the client object that comes in POST Edit has everything it needs. I want to update just those properties on the entity in datastore. So far I've tried with Context.Refresh() and AttachTo() but with no success - I'm getting all sorts of exceptions. I inspected the entity object as it comes from the web form and it looks fine (it does have an ID and entered data) mapped just fine. If I do it with Context.SaveChanges() then it just inserts new row..

I'd added "-S" option for compile only.

    i have used a mail function. after inserting every record simultaneously from multiple PC. In the section that needs special handling I need to iterate over 3 form fields that have the same name. They have to have the same name, I can't change it.   • Ajax response is taking time to populate.

    I am having an util class which is not owned by me. I am calling one of the method of that util class which inturn calls one ajax function. And gives me response back. I need to make a decision depending on the response object. The problem is that response object takes some time to populate(mili seconds). var selector = dojo.byId("SelectorId"); var theChart = new chart( selector, 135, 92, style, frequency, time); if(theChart.data ===null){ console.log("No response"); }else{ Console.log("Use response data"); } and chart( selector, 135, 92, style, frequency, time); is not owned by me. chart() is from util class. above snippet works fine with break point. But when I remove the breakpoint it starts going in "if" block always. Hows can I solve this issue.

    I'm adopting Castle Windsor for my WCF project and feel really amazed about this. However, I'm having a scenario that I don't really know if Castle Windsor supports. For example I have the following chained Interceptors Interceptor 1 > Interceptor 2 > Interceptor 3 > Interceptor 4 > Real method Interceptor 1 returns some data and I want that to be available in Interceptor 2 Interceptor 2 in turn does it work and returns the data that I want to make avaialbe in the 3,4, interceptor. The real case scenario is that we're having a WCF service, Interceptor 1 will parse the request header into a Header object(username, password, etc.). The latter interceptors and real method will ultilize this Header object. I know that I can use Session variable to transport data, but is it a built-in, more elegant, more reliable way to handle this?

    I have a c# .net web application. I create session variables but when I try to read them after I leave the page that they were created from I can't. Created on page 1 Session["UserName"] = "WhatEver"; Then I do Response.Redirect("~/whatever.aspx"); and try to read to read the session variable in the Page_Load method of the new page string userName = Session["UserName"].ToString(); I receive "Object reference not set to an instance of an object." Why am I receiving this error and what can I do to fix the problem? I would greatly appreciate any help anyone can give me.

  • c++ "interface"-like classes similar to Java?

    In Java, you can define an interface as a class with no actual code implementation, but only to define the methods that a class must implement. Those types can be passed as parameters to methods and returned from methods. In C++, a pure virtual class can't be used as a parameter or return type, from what I can tell. Any way to mimic Java's interface classes? I have a string class in C++, and several subclasses for different encodings (like UTFxxx, ISOxxx, etc) that derive from the base string class. However, since there are so many different encodings, the base class has no meaningful implementation. But it would serve well as an interface if I could handle it as its own object and calls to that object would call on the correct subclass it was inherited to.

Or, is there a better way to do this in general? I don't think returning a copy of the collection for iteration will work because I need absolute synchronization.

  • Trouble refreshing UITableView

    I'm trying to develop a basic GPA Calculator. I have an AllCourses class that holds Course objects. I have an AllCourses object in my CalcAppDelegate. In my ThirdViewController I can successfully update the number of Courses in my AllCourses object. However, the problem I'm having is that when I switch to the RootViewController the UITable isn't being repopulated with the updated Courses that were added. I tried [self reloadData] in the viewWillAppear in my RootViewController but it caused my app to close. I didn't use IB to create the views so I think it could be the case that I don't have things hooked up correctly. I did it programatically. Does anyone see anything I'm missing in my code?     Given an instance of a class I want to set properties on attributes at runtime.   • What is a good architecture for a Lift-JPA application?

    I was wondering what is the best practice for a JPA model in Lift? I noticed that in the jpa demo application, there is just a Model object that is like a super object that does everything. I don't think this can be the most scalable approach, no? Is it is wise to still do the DAO pattern in Lift? For example, there's some code that looks a tad bloated and could be simplified across all model objects: Model.remove(Model.getReference(classOf[Author], someId)) Could be: AuthorDao.remove(someId) I'd appreciate any tips for setting up something that will work with the way Lift wants to work and is also easy to organize and maintain. Preferably from someone who has actually used JPA on a medium to large Lift site rather than just postulating what Spring does (we know how to do that) ;) The first phase of development will be around 30-40 tables, and will eventually get to over 100... we need a scalable, neat approach.

    I am preparing a simple dictionary project and I have prepared it to search in 2 languages. Still, as one of them is using Cyrillic letters, I have to be able to check in the database, even if the word is written in Latin letters. What do I mean in Cyrillic: ??? in Latin: kon Both should give the description of the word (in this case "horse"). I have been thinking of using two structures with two alphabets in order to achieve this....Still somehow I cannot get it. Does some of you have experience in a similar situation? If yes - please share an advice or code-sample.
