  • Creating text file from as2

    I'm trying to find a way to write to a text file from as2. I don't want to use any php or asp because my app needs to run without an internet connection. As3 has FileReference.save() and judging by the amount of searching I've done, as2 doesn't have that simple of a solution. Does anyone have a way even if its hacky to write to a txt file from as2?

  • iphone audio streaming

    Hi , i'm developing an application which uses audio streaming. For streaming audio from internet i'm using the AudioStreamer class. The audio streamer has four state isPlaying, isPaused ,isWaiting, and isIdle . My problem is that when the audio streamer is in the state "isWaiting" and at that time if i get a phone call Audio queue fails giving the error "Audio queue start failed." Any has solution for this? help....

    Hi all, I am testing my web application's security and all of my pages are served over ssl. The issue I am having is the certificate is not trusted as firefox starts in a new profile each time. I was reading on OpenQA's site about a jar and importing the certificate, but that is only for Internet Explorer and Firefox should automatically be handled. Is there anything special I need to do in order for certificates to automatically be trusted? Thanks, Walter

    Hi there, Suppose I have this very simple method in Store's model: def geocode_address loc = Store.geocode(address) self.lat = loc.lat self.lng = loc.lng end If I want to write some test scripts that aren't affected by the geocoding service, which may be down, have limitations or depend on my internet connection, how do I mock out the geocoding service? If I could pass a geocoding object into the method, it would be easy, but I don't see how I could do it in this case. Thanks! Tristan

  • System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser login dialog doesn't appear

    When I navigate to an intranet site requiring windows authentication, the WinForms WebBrowser control isn't displaying a login dialog. But it will display (after refreshing the page) if I first open Internet Explorer and view the same page. Also, if I make the URL refer to my local IIS instance, the login dialog will appear. Any ideas? Thanks!

    I want to be able to have many button and objects in my project but they all wont fit on the screen at once so i would like the user to be able to scroll down and have more appear but i cant get it to work. From what I can understand all over the internet is that this has to be possible, yet I fail to find a correct example or solution. What I want is a single http post to node.js with AJAX. Than leave the connection open and continuously stream data to the client. The client will receive this stream and update the page continuously.

I need something that searches the internet for URLs only...I don't need links, descriptions, etc. What is the best way to do this without getting too technical?     I have a asp.net 1.1 application that uses the following code to write out a file in the response: Dim objStream As Object objStream = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Stream") objStream.open() objStream.type = 1 objStream.loadfromfile(localfile) Response.BinaryWrite(objStream.read) This code is called by a pop up window that displays this file or gives a open/save dialog in Internet explorer. The problem is, that it seems to work fine in IE6 but in IE7 the pop up opens and then closes without displaying the file. Any one know whats wrong?
