  • Voice Recognition Connection problem

    I,m trying to work through and test a Voice Recognition example based on the VoiceRecognition.java example at http://developer.android.com/resources/samples/ApiDemos/src/com/example/android/apis/app/VoiceRecognition.html but when click on the button to create the activity, I get a dialog that says Connection problem. My Manifest file is using the Internet Permission, and I understand it passes the to the Google Servers. Do I need to do anything else to use this. Code below UPDATE 2: Thanks to Steve, I have been able to install the USB Driver and debug the app directly on my Droid.     I have a slideshow built in flash that I want to mimic in jQuery. The slide show uses the images from the slideshow as the pager numbers. The problem im having is once i apply links to the slideshow images the pagerAnchorBuilder image returns an undefined for the src of the image.   • Android AVD With GoogleApi, Not Getting Network Connection

    I am working on a Windows XP Machine. When running AVDs out of Eclipse, I am getting "No Network Connection" when I am plugged into my company's network and using an AVD that was built with the "Google APIs by Google Inc., Android API 7, revision 1". If I use this same AVD (Google API) and connect to the internet through a Verizon Wireless card, the AVD gets an Internet Connection. If I use an AVD built with "SDK Platform Android 2.1, API 7, revision 1", and connect through my company's network, the AVD gets an Internet Connection. Any ideas what might be blocking this? I am guessing it is something in my company's network, but why only with the AVD created with the Google API?

    Given the following: I have an application that allows people to login through twitter, myspace, yahoo, and google User creates initial account by logging in through Google User logs out User logs back in using Yahoo. ...is there a recommended way for the application to associate those two accounts together? Stack Overflow has this functionality but it seems like they need the user to manually say "this account google account is associated with that yahoo one". Is there no way to do this automatically?
