html embeded php code not executing when hosted on iis

I am doing my coding in Windows XP/IIS 5.1. I have PHP setup correctly because i have no problem running .php file. The problem seem to me that IIS can't render php code embedded inside html. Does anyone know how to fix this problem or should i switch to Apache?

SQL Server 2008: The columns in table do not match an existing primary key or unique constraint

Hi guys, I need to make some changes to a SQL Server 2008 database. This requires the creation of a new table, and inserting a foreign key in the new table that references the Primary key of an already existing table. So I want to set up a relationship between my new tblTwo, which references the primary key of tblOne. However when I tried to do this (through SQL Server Management Studio) I got the following error: The columns in table 'tblOne' do not match an existing primary key or UNIQUE constraint I'm not really sure what this means, and I was wondering if there was any way around it?

WPF C#: Starting crash due to client 'Region and Language' settings

Hi, I'm working on a WPF C# application, and it seems to crash with a few random people. So eventually I found out it was the 'Region and Language' settings that was responsible. For example, if I were to set my Format to English (United States) it will work, if I set it to Swedish (Sweden) it will crash from the start. When I test this in Visual Studio 2010 it gives error 'TypeInitializationException'. More precisely it does it here (it doesn't get passed the InitializeComponent() void): private void RadioButton_Checked(object sender, RoutedEventArgs e) { Info.SortOrder = SortBy.Rank; } It claims the error at the first line, which is just setting an enum value to a variable. I guess it's just doing it there because it's the first thing it makes, or something. Anyone has any idea how to fix this? I've searched around but can't seem to find out how :( Any help is much appreciated! Thanks

Using stored procedures to generate RDLC report in C#

I'm making an application that generates reports for my client. I'm using his database that contains stored procedures which return the data needed for the reports. The problem is that I don't know how to execute them from the application (more specific the TableAdapter in my dataset). When I use the visual aid to create the TableAdapter, it shows the error "Invalid object named #table1". This is weird because there is a temporary table called #table1 in the stored procedure. When I try to do the whole job programmatically, I get the exception Incorrect syntax near '.'. An object or column name is missing or empty. For SELECT INTO statements, verify each column has a name. For other statements, look for empty alias names. Aliases defined as "" or [] are not allowed. Change the alias to a valid name. I created a DataTable that has identical structure as the result of the stored procedure, but I still get the same exception

Cross-referencing UML models in VS 2010

I am just starting to explore/use the UML modeling support in Visual Studio 2010 Umltimate. I have created two model projects within a single solution. Let's call them Model A and Model B. I have some data types (classes) defined in Model B. I want to use them as return types for operations in Model A. However, I cannot figure out how to make the types defined in Model B show up in Model A when attempting to set return type on an operation. Any help/suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Does anybody know why it is valid for Foo() to have a default argument with std::make_shared but not P::Foo()?

How do I write to command line from a WPF application?

Hi I know how to write to console but if I write to console in my program and call my program from the command line it won't display anything. How do I make it so that when I say Console.WriteLine or Console.Out.Writeline ir prints to the command prompt from which it was called and not somewhere else? Once again I know how to do Console.WriteLine so it's not that :-p unless I'm doing it wrong. From what I can tell it's probably something to do with Console.SetOut(TextWriter t) this is a WPF application and I need it to post its data to the command line while still retaining the GUI at startup. I've triple checked and my code hits the print lines, I can actually see the lines being printed to the Visual Studio output window, it just won't display in the command line when I run it manually without VS. If possible I need to conditionally have the console display. ie if run from command line (or even with command arguments), display or post to the prompt, otherwise do not.

MS VC++ 6 class wizard

Ok, I'm developing an application that has been in pretty much continous development over the last 16 years, from C in DOS, through various flavours of C++ and now is largely based around C++ with MFC and StingRay GUIs and various other SDKs. While I use VS 2005 for the release builds, I still use MSVC 6 for much of the GUI building, simply because ClassWizard is so much quicker in this environment than the weak equivalent tools that followed. Note that I am using ClassWizard to automatically generate code for my own user defined types (see Custom DDXs) and I like to add a lot of member variables and methods in one go. Creating them one at a time as per later versions of Visual Studio for me is a big backward step. At the same time, working with multiple IDEs is also a pain. My question is in two parts; Is there any way of getting ClassWizard to work is VS 2005 or VS 2008? Is there any drop in replacement, or alternative IDE, that provides similar levels of productivty for old C++ hacks such as myself?

SSAS Reporting Services - Set specific language / translation

Hi all, in the data warehouse there's a default language for the measures, and I added a translation for German captions. In a Visual Studio Report Server project, when creating a query with my German OS, the cube and its measures are displayed in German language. When dragging measures to the mdx query windows, the default measure name is used. That's what I want and what I expect, since when writing MDX queries I would like to use the default measure names. But when executing the query, the columns created for each measure is translated to German again. This resuls in having German columns names within my dataset, which I dont want. I'd like to have the english column names. I already tried to change the connection string to: Data Source=server;Initial Catalog=DataWarehouse;LocaleIdentifier=1033 But that doesn't help, I still see German translations. Anyone knows how to set a specific translation?

What should I use to replace the WinAPI Beep() function?

I've got a Visual C++/CLI app which uses beeps to signify good and bad results (used when the user can't see the screen). Currently I use low pitched beeps for bad results and high pitched beeps for good results: if( goodResult == true ) { Beep(1000, 40); } else { Beep(2000, 20); } This works okay on my Vista laptop, but I've tried it on other laptops and some seem to play the sounds for less time (they sound more like clicks than beeps) or the sound doesn't play at all. So I have two questions here: Is there a more reliable beep function? Is there a (simple) way I can play a short .wav file or something similar instead (preferred solution).

I am having some problems writing to a file in unicode inside my c program. I am trying to write a unicode Japanese string to a file. When I go to check the file though it is empty. If I try a non-unicode string it works just fine. What am I doing wrong? setlocale(LC_CTYPE, ""); FILE* f; f = _wfopen(COMMON_FILE_PATH,L"w"); fwprintf(f,L"???"); fclose(f); Oh about my system: I am running Windows. C#/XNA Giant Memory Leak

this is my first post here. I'm making a game in Visual Studio 2010 using XNA, and i've hit a giant memory leak. My game starts out using 17k ram and then after ten minutes it's upto 65k. I ran some memory profilers, and they all say that new instances of the String object are being created, but they aren't live. The amount of live instances of String hasn't changed at all. It's also creating instances of Char[] (which i'd expect from it), Object[], and StringBuilder. My game is pretty new but there's too much code to post here. I have no idea how to get rid of instances that aren't live, please help!

Connection Timeout Linked Server

I have created a linked server from one SQL Server 2005 to Another 2005. When I run an update query through the SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS), it runs in under a second. If I run the query through a asp webpage it times out. I ran SQL Profiler to see if I noticed anything as well as the Activity Monitor in SSMS and all I found was that a lock was being created (Wait type LOCK_M_U), but I can't find what is locking it. hi, My friend and I want to write a Facebook application. We've narrowed down the list of possible technologies to Ruby on Rails and C# with ASP. Here are the pros and cons we've thought of. Cons: ASP - proprietary tools like Visual Studio etc. cost (lots of) money. We both don't know ASP (although we're not bad at C#). RoR - It's scripting so might be harder to maintain. My friend doesn't know RoR at all (but he's a fairly proficient programmer so will probably be able to pick it up quickly). Pros: ASP - Facebook has an official SDK for .NET. RoR - I know RoR. It's open source, free and has fast development time. What says the community? Is there something we haven't thought of?

Delete database. Entity Framework

I have a very annoying issue and I would love a solution. The problem: I followed the MDSN tutorial- http://www.asp.net/mvc/tutorials/mvc-4/getting-started-with-aspnet-mvc4/adding-a-model Then I tried this guide according to my needs and I set up a database GAMES.MDF. Then, I deleted the database and set it up again, is supposedly work (I can write and read data), but There is no such database in the APP_DATA folder. Like it keeps it somewhere in my PC and reuse it. I even tried a new project and it did not work, works but not in the library, and it even uses the data I created before. I even deleted the DB from SQL Server Management Studio 2008. Does anyone know what the hell? How do I delete it permanently, not to remain any trace of him? Thank you. Ido

Why won't gcc compile a class declaration as a reference argument?

This compiles fine in Visual studio, but why not in XCode? class A() {}; someMethod(A& a); someMethod(A()); //error: no matching function call in XCode only :( Is this bad form? it seems annoying to have to write the following every time: A a(); someMethod(a); //successful compile on Xcode Am i missing something? How do XAML files associate with cs files?

It seems that XAML files should have corresponding .cs files in a C# project. I know Visual Studio does all the things for us. I'm just curious how they are linked together? I mean, are they specified in the project file, or just because they have the same names? And also, App.xaml file specifies the startup file, but how does the compiler know? Is it possible to appoint another file other than App.xaml to do the same things as App.xaml does?

I am trying to make an asynchronised server in visual studio and I use boost::asio::async_read(m_socket, boost::asio::buffer(m_buffer), boost::bind(&tcp_connection::handle_read, shared_from_this(), boost::asio::placeholders::error)); to get the buffer to be put in m_buffer boost::array<char, 256> m_buffer; but how do I get the size of this thing, m_buffer? size() didn't work, end() didn't work.. Any help would be fantastic. Thanks in advance.

Stored procedure for selecting multiple records

I need to select records say 2000 from a table with a matching timestamp from c# .net code. Eg: SELECT * FROM ITEMDATA_TABLE WHERE ITEMNAME='Item1' and TimeStamp='2010-04-26 17:15:05.667' The above query has to execute for 2000 items more for the same timestamp. for this we can use SELECT * FROM ITEMDATA_TABLE WHERE ITEMNAME in ('Item1','Item2','Item3','Item4',......) AND TimeStamp='2010-04-26 17:15:05.667' from SQL Server Management Studio. I have tried appending all Item names to one string variable and giving it as a parameter to the stored procedure,but it resulted into a wrong concatenation. How can I do this as a stored procedure executing from the .net code? Can anyone suggest me/correct me in doing this? Thanks & Regards Padma

MonthCalendar control selection range with EnableVisualStyles?

I'm using the MonthCalendar control and want to programmatically select a date range. When I do so the control doesn't paint properly if Application.EnableVisualStyles() has been called. This is a known issue according to MSDN. Using the MonthCalendar with visual styles enabled will cause a selection range for the MonthCalendar control to not paint correctly (from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/system.windows.forms.monthcalendar.aspx) Is there really no fix for this other than not calling EnableVisualStyles? This seems to make that particular control entirely useless for a range of applications and a rather glaring oversight from my perspective.

Can not connect to SSIS access denied

I am facing an issue while connecting to SSIS thru Mangament studio. I'm able to connect to SQL engine, Analysis services but not able to connect to SSIS. I use windows authentication. I tried steps given at http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa337083(SQL.90).aspx but no help. On one of the forum I saw that one needs to restart the MSDTC service, Do I need to do that? bcoz my SQL admin said I need to justify it by assuring that it doesn't affect aything else. Moreover we didn't find way to restart the service, where I can do that? please help. Thanks.
