  • PHP complete sample website source

    I'm new to PHP, and it appears that the way I learn the fastest is to study a new language a well developed complete program (or website, in this case) changing stuff seeing what happens and consulting books. There are lots of recommendations of books all around, and that's pretty much covered. I'd like to find the sourcecode of a website. Either a well known, well developed open-source website, or a sample sourcecode of a complete website (maybe one used in a book or something). Everyone says they should find the way they learn better.. Well, that's mine. PS.: By complete I mean having several common functionalities (such as login), database connection, use of security conventions, maybe a popular framework, and being up-to-date.

  • javax.servlet import cannot be resolved after moving web servlet

    I have written a small web servlet to run under Tomcat, using Eclipse Helios. In its old, non-source-controlled location, everything was fine, but now I need to add this to our source control system. Moving the old files out of the way, creating a new workspace, setting up the server connection and copying and importing the existing projects into the new workspace all worked fine once I figured out how to do it, but I can't get the servlet to build. Instead, I get a whole bunch of cannot be resolved to a type errors talking about various servlet class types; HttpServlet, HttpServletRequest, ServletException, etc. Another error that is almost certainly related is The import javax.servlet cannot be resolved. I am obviously missing something very basic, but I'm new to this (and not having the terminology really down pat probably doesn't help me Google for an answer). Any suggestions as to what I might be missing would be greatly appreciated.

  • JDBC CLASSPATH Not Working

    I'm setting up a simple JDBC connection to my working MySQL database on my server. I'm using the Connector-J provided by MySQL. According to their documentation, I'm suppose to create the CLASSPATH variable to point to the directory where the mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar is located. I used export set CLASSPATH=/path/mysql-connector-java-5.0.8-bin.jar:$CLASSPATH. When I type echo $CLASSPATH to see if it exists, everything seems fine. But then when I open a new terminal and type echo $CLASSPATH it's no longer there. I think this is the main reason why my Java server won't connect to the JDBC, because it isn't saving the CLASSPATH variable I set. Anyone got suggestions or fixes on how to set up JDBC in the first place?

    Hello, I've got the problem, that I use a property in the persistence.xml which forces Hibernate to look only for tables in the given schema. <property name="hibernate.default_schema" value="FOO"/> Because we are using now 4 different schemas the actual solution is to generate 4 war files with a modified persistence.xml. That not very elegant. Does anybody know, how I can configure the schema with a property or by manipulation the JDBC connection string? I'm using Oracle 10g, 10_2_3 Patch. Thanks a lot.

    Hi people, i need to write a program, that can redirect's http://localhost:8080 to en.wikipedia.org, it seems to be easy, but i have some problems(only with wikipedia with another sites works good). I make url to wikipedia: URL url = new URL("http", "en.wikipedia.org", 80, "/wiki"); than URLConnection, extract headers, and when i want connection.getInputStream(), i received message 404 Not Found. So i have tried some hack for host header, because in this way host header is localhost:8080, therefor i have tried to change host header to wikipedia, and it works, but after request in browser http://localhost:8080 wikipedia opens, but url in browser changes to en.wikipedia.org, but i want proceed with localhost :)

  • How do i get the default gateway in LINUX given the destination?

I'm trying to get the default gateway, using the destination 0.0.0.0 i used this command: netstat -rn | grep 0.0.0.0 and it returns this list: Destination Gateway Genmask Flags MSS Window irtt Iface 10.9.9.17 0.0.0.0 255.255.255.255 UH 0 0 0 tun0 133.88.0.0 0.0.0.0 255.255.0.0 U 0 0 0 eth0 0.0.0.0 133.88.31.70 0.0.0.0 UG 0 0 0 eth0 My goal here is to ping the default gateway using destination 0.0.0.0; thus, that is "133.88.31.70"; but this one returns a list because of using 'grep'. Question is: How do i get the default gateway only? I will need it for my bash script to identify if net connection is up or not. Any answers will be much appreciated. =)

  • How can I write cocoa bindings as code instead of in the Interface Builder?

    In my modell got an NSMutableArray that keeps track of a changing number of elements. In my view I got a NSTextField that shows the number of elements. The view gots unarchived from the nib file and alloc/inits the modell. Therefore it knowns about the modell and the contained array. I established the connection as follows. In the Interface Builder at the textfield I added a Cocoa Binding "path" like this: myModell.myArray.@count. By this I can access the count property (which is a must since the array itself does not change). The binding is based on key-value compliance which I established at the modell so the array can be accessed. But key-value compliance is not part of the questions. My question: How can I put the binding into the sourcecode and not writing it into the Interface Builder?

  • Can you create a HIPAA compliant Amazon S3 Web Application?

    I am facing some questions when trying to design an S3 application using ASP.NET MVC and trying to stay HIPAA compliant. My initial plan was to require an SSL connection to my web server, encrypt the images on my server, then send them to s3 using my private keys. Here's my obvious concerns: You cannot store unencrypted images in any temporary file cache when client views images within the browser. Even if I setup an ashx to generically handle the image in memory, couldn't this get stored in cache? Saying the images will be encrpyted because you will be connecting to my server via https still does not guarantee all browsers will not cache data. It's not possible to even consider the "Query String" with expiration option since data will be encrypted before being stored on disk at s3, and will again be decrypted at my server in memory. I think my only option would be to write/purchase some sort of ActiveX component that will not expose the image as a simple html image source or write my app as a client side WinForm application.

I am working on a project that has the following requirements as specified by the client (customer - not to be confused with client app): Connect to a remote server and verify that connection was successful. Connect to Web service on said server via SOAP. Authenticate with service using public key encryption Upon successful authentication, push a list of products and categories to a MSSQL database on remote server via the Web service. The client is a Winforms application written in C#. So far, I have created a WCF Service Application with separate services for the products and categories but I cannot figure the rest out.     I run XAMPP, a few days back i had set up a password for the root password through phpmyadmin I am not able to access phpMyAdmin ever since that moment I followed help on this link but everything seems fine there (in config.inc.php). I even tried unistalling xampp fully, restarting windows and then reinstalling xampp, but still pointing to localhost/phpmyadmin I get the following error MySQL said: Cannot connect: invalid settings. phpMyAdmin tried to connect to the MySQL server, and the server rejected the connection. You should check the host, username and password in your configuration and make sure that they correspond to the information given by the administrator of the MySQL server. I Also tried to reset root password through mysqld.bat as given on mysql's website help but to no avail Please Help!

I have a bucket at port 11230 and I need to get a dump of all keys in order to fill them into sphinx search engine. If I execute: # python /opt/couchbase/lib/python/tap_example.py 127.0.0.1:11230 I get the following output: info: New bin connection from None error: uncaptured python exception, closing channel <tap.TapConnection connected at 0x7f5d287184d0> (<type 'exceptions.AssertionError'>: [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|read|78] [/usr/lib/python2.6/asyncore.py|handle_read_event|428] [/opt/couchbase/lib/python/mc_bin_server.py|handle_read|325]) this error is the same even if I try some other host or port. I also tried many other python scripts that I found on forums and groups but all of them produced the same error. My primary development environment includes PHP & Perl on Debian linux box but I will take any solution that would just dump all the keys into plain text file. Thank you for any help!

  • C# How to create objects without class definitions?

    Is it possible to create objects at designtime without having to have hard coded class definitions, then populate properties with primitives or even strongly typed data types? This might sound confusing, so I will attempt to give you a use case scenario. Use case: You have an XML config file that could hold configuration values for connecting to various systems in an SOA application. In C# the XML file is read, but for each system the configuration properties are different (e.g: SQL might have a connection string, while SharePoint might need a username + password + domain + url, while yet an smtp server would need username + password + port + url) So instead of creating static classes as follows public class SharePointConfiguration or public class SQLConfiguration, then have each class with custom properties (this is cumbersome) or using a 1990's method, an arrayList or some named collection Is there not a more preferred way to achieve this? Taking advantage of new language features, that can still offer design time intellisense, which would make the code easier to maintain and less prone to error. Thanks

  • Do I have to use Stored Procedures to get query level security or can I still do this with Dynamic S

    I'm developing an application where I'm concerned about locking down access to the database. I know I can develop stored procedures (and with proper parameter checking) limit a database user to an exact set of queries to execute. It's imperative that no other queries other then the ones I created in the stored procedures be allowed to execute under that user. Ideally even if a hacker gained access to the database connection (which only accepts connections from certain computers) they would only be able to execute the predefined stored procedures. Must I choose stored procedures for this or can I use Dynamic Sql with these fine grain permissions?
