  I have a script snippet looks like below: <ItemGroup> <files Include="*.txt"></files> </ItemGroup> <Message Text="@(files)"> <ItemGroup> <files Include="*.xml"></files> </ItemGroup> <Message Text="@(files)"> I want that in the second Message output, only *.xml is printed. Currently both of *.txt and *.xml are printed which is what I don't want to. So, my question is how can we overwrite the item files in the second print script? Please help!

• javascript - Google Chrome cluttering Array generated from .split()

  Given the following string: var str = "one,two,three"; If I split the string on the commas, I normally get an array, as expected: var arr = str.split(/\s*,\s*/); Trouble is that in Google Chrome (for Mac), it appends extra properties to the array. Output from Chrome's debugger: arr: Array 0: one 1: two 2: three constructor: function Array() index: undefined input: undefined length: 3 So if I iterate over the array with a for/in loop, it iterates over the new properties. Specifically the input and index properties. Using hasOwnProperty doesn't seem to help. A fix would be to do a for loop based on the length of the Array. Still I'm wondering if anyone has insight into why Chrome behaves this way. Firefox and Safari don't have this issue.

So i wanna see it when script runs. is there any function that prints all script codes as the way it writed. • How to test processing a list of files within a directory using RSpec?

  I'm pretty new to the world of RSpec. I'm writing a RubyGem that processes a list of files within a specified directory and any sub-directories. Specifically, it will use Find.find and append the files to an Array for later output. I'd like to write a spec to test this behaviour but don't really know where to start in terms of faking a directory of files and stubbing Find.find etc. This is what little I have so far: it "should return a list of files within the specified directory" do end Any help much appreciated!

• Find and list all functions/methods in a set of JavaScript files

  Is there a way to read a set of JavaScript files, and output a description of where every function/method is defined? I realize that this is likely impossible in full generality, due to the extreme dynamic nature of the language. What I'm imagining is something which gets the (relatively) straightforward cases. Ideally, I'd want it figure out where, e.g. some method got attached to string or hash or some other fundamental class (and also just let you find all the classes/functions that get defined once in one place). Does such a tool exist?

• MySql query and table optimisation

  Hi everyone. I am trying to run the following simple query on a table with 500K records. SELECT COUNT(*) AS impressionCount FROM impression WHERE 0 = 0 AND impressionObjectId1 = 'C69A54B8-B828-E2E4-2319A93011DF4120' AND impressionObjectId2 = '1'; This query is taking 10 seconds to run. I have tried creating individual indexes for the impressionObjectId1 and impressionObjectId2 columns, as well as a composite index using both. The composite worked well for a while, but now it is also slow. Here is my table structure: DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `impression`; CREATE TABLE `impression` ( `impressionId` varchar(50) NOT NULL, `impressionObjectId1` varchar(50) NOT NULL, `impressionObjectId2` varchar(50) default NULL, `impressionStampDate` datetime NOT NULL, PRIMARY KEY (`impressionId`), KEY `IX_object` (`impressionObjectId1`,`impressionObjectId2`) ) ENGINE=InnoDB DEFAULT CHARSET=latin1 ROW_FORMAT=DYNAMIC COMMENT='InnoDB free: 191488 kB'; Any advice would be greatly appreciated.   I have an array $aMethods whose print_r output is this: Array ( [0] => Array ( [pattern] => [return_media] => 1 [return_name] => ) ) I'm trying to access 'return_media' with this code: $iReturnMedia = $aMethods[0]->return_media; echo $iReturnMedia; Also, when I tried this: $iReturnMedia = $aMethods[0]['return_media']; I get an error stating: Cannot use string offset as an array in... But it's not working, $iReturnMedia comes back as blank. Could someone tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

  Hello SO! I am working on a small project and am playing with date() and mktime() in PHP. Compare the two code blocks and their output, notice the second sample adds one to the month in it's first mktime. $monthis = 5; echo date('F', mktime(0,0,0,$monthis,0,0)) . " 1, 2010 is on a " . date("l F", mktime(0, 0, 0, $monthis, 1, 2010)); puts out April 1, 2010 is on a Saturday May but if I change it to $monthis = 5; echo date('F', mktime(0,0,0,$monthis + 1,0,0)) . " 1, 2010 is on a " . date("l F", mktime(0, 0, 0, $monthis, 1, 2010)); puts out May 1, 2010 is on a Saturday May Why do I have to add one to the month in the first mktime so that both emit the same month? Any help or clarity would be appreciated. Thanks :)

• Limited recursion in C?

  I ran this program and it output ... 65088 65089 65090 and then it stopped. Windows 7 said a.exe stopped working. Here is the code: #include <stdio.h> void go(void); main() { go(); } void go(void) { static int i = 0; printf("%d\n", i++); go(); } I think this program should keep on printing numbers indefinitely due to recursion, but it stops at 65090! The C code is compiled with gcc. Any ideas?

  I have a small Grails application that has the following domain: class Meal { String name String description String allergyNote } For localization purposes the three strings should now be available in multiple languages. For example, while an English user would see name="Steak", a Spanish user should see name="Filete" in the output. I was thinking of doing the following: class Language { String isoCode String languageName } class TranslatedString { Language language String translation } but I am not sure how to link the Meals with the TranslatedStrings as it is used for three members, also I would like to use it for other classes (not just Meal) as well (or do I need to have separated tables, i.e. a MealNameTranslated, MealDescriptionTranslated, etc tables?). I know this is probably a stupid question, but I am a beginner and have not been able to figure this out :-(

  I'm using regex to parse NMAP output. I want the ip addresses which are up with the corresponding ports open. Now I've a very naive method of doing that: awk '/^Scanning .....................ports]/ {print substr ($2,1,15);}' results.txt awk '/^[0-9][0-9]/ {print substr($1,1,4);}' results.txt | awk -f awkcode.awk where awkcode.awk contains the code to extract numbers out of the substring. The first line prints all the ips that are up and 2nd gives me the ports. My problem is that I want them mapped to each other. Is there any way to do that? Even sed script would do.

• Why does the compiler complain "while expected" when I try to add more code?

Once a word with @ is read, it should output the word then terminate.   In C, I could generate an executable, do an extensive rename only refactor, then compare executables again to confirm that the executable did not change. This was very handy to ensure that the refactor did not break anything. Has anyone done anything similar with Ruby, particularly a Rails app? Strategies and methods would be appreciated. Ideally, I could run a script that output a single file of some sort that was purely bytecode and was not changed by naming changes. I'm guessing JRuby or Rubinus would be helpful here.

  I am not familiar with PHP at all and had a quick question. I have 2 variables @pricePerUnit and @invoicedUnits. Here's the code that is setting these to values: $InvoicedUnits = ((string) $InvoiceLineItem->InvoicedUnits); $pricePerUnit = ((string) $InvoiceLineItem->PricePerUnit); If I output this, I get the correct values. Lets say 5000 invoiced units and 1.00 for price. Now, I need to show the total amount spent. When I multiply these two together it doesn't work (as expected, these are strings). But I have no clue how to parse/cast/convert variables in PHP. What should I do?

• Create xml file based on xPath from Excel with VBA

  I've found some items that seem to dance around what I'm looking to do. I'm not a full-fledged programmer, but have been creating my own macros in Excel. I'm trying to create one now that will help me create the structure of an XML file. I want to go down the list of XPaths, and for each one create any parents in the path as needed as well as the child and its value. I'll be adding another aspect to filter it to the fields I want, but the part I'm struggling with is the logic to check if each parent node exists, create it if needed, then add the child and its value. Bonus would be if the output file were formatted with each node on a new line, and more so if it child nodes were indented from parent, but just creating it is my primary concern. Any help would be much appreciated, this has to potential to save me a lot of time.
