• CSS/HTML: Highlighting the "full width avaialble" to a list item

  I'm working on a website for a small law office. In the side-menu, I'm trying to highlight the "current page". I have tried changing the background of the LI, but this doesn't quite do the trick; the list item doesn't spread to the full width of the menu, so it looks bad. Here's a jfiddle. I would like the yellow section to highlight like the pink section is highlighted: filling up the full vertical and horizontal space, not just highlighting the text. Any suggestions on how to do this? I've included the style tag in the html just for example, obviously, and my real solution will be a little different when it's done. But I can't move forward until I figure out how to somehow highlight the entire line.

  I'm trying to add little icons to my tabs in WPF but having trouble with how to set up the binding. <TabItem.Header> <StackPanel Orientation="Horizontal"> <Image Source="{Binding Source=prop:Resources.eye}" /> <Label VerticalAlignment="Center">Header</Label> </StackPanel> </TabItem.Header> The xmlns:prop is set up for the local project's Properties, I am pulling other values from it elsewhere so I know that the namespace works. The markup above compiles fine BUT I don't see the eye image in the tab. Also, is there any way to set this up into a template? I'm fairly new to XAML/WPF and each tab will have its own image...

• overflow-x AND Middle Mouse Button Moving

  My Page is 980px in Width, but I have a few design elements (which belong with the background). I positioned them with position: absolute;. This creates a horizontal scrollbar for those who have a =< 1024 resolution. I disabled that scrollbar with overflow-x:hidden on (and for IE7 and etc). However, when I hold my middle mouse button,(i think this applies to laptop touchpads as well) it let's me move around to the right, is it possible to fix this with anything? (javascript, css)? Tested this issues in Chrome, IE, Firefox.

  Hi everyone , I'm racking my brain in order to solve a knotty problem (at least for me) While playing an audio file (using java) I want the signal amplitude to be displayed against time. I mean I'd like to implement a small panel showing a sort of oscilloscope .(SPECTRUM ANALYZER) The audio signal should be viewed in the time domain (vertical axis is amplitude and the horizontal axis is time) Does anyone know how to do it? Is there a good tutorial I can rely on? Since I know vwry little about java , I wish someone could help me . Thanks in advance.

  I have an identical horizontal menu at the top of all of my pages, which I add using a PHP include() statement. In my stylesheet I want to have a class where if the user is on a particular page, the menu item corresponding to that page will have a different color. So, more or less: #dropdown { background-color:blue; } #dropdown .active { background-color:green; } But, since the menu comes from the PHP include, it's always the same. How can I write some PHP or JavaScript that adds class="active" to the appropriate menu item for each page?

• Create a buffered image from rgb pixel values

  I have an integer array of RGB pixels that looks something like: pixels[0] = <rgb-value of pixel(0,0)> pixels[1] = <rgb-value of pixel(1,0)> pixels[2] = <rgb-value of pixel(2,0)> pixels[3] = <rgb-value of pixel(0,1)> ...etc... And I'm trying to create a BufferedImage from it. I tried the following: BufferedImage img = new BufferedImage(width, height, BufferedImage.TYPE_INT_RGB); img.getRaster().setPixels(0, 0, width, height, pixels); But the resulting image has problems with the color bands. The image is unclear and there are diagonal and horizontal lines through it. What is the proper way to initialize the image with the rgb values? thanks, Jeff

  Although I'm coding in Objective C, this is more of a general programming question. What is the best way to convert a constantly changing scalar value to a changing interval or frequency? Right now every time the scalar value changes I am destroying the NSInterval ie [self.myTimer invalidate]; self.myTimer = nil; and creating a new one, but this seems like a VERY expensive way to achieve my goal, since the changing scalar value in my case represents the horizontal velocity of a swipe. For a rough analogy, think of the speed of a swipe being reflected in a visual metronome, the faster you swipe, the higher(shorter interval) the frequency of the metronome.

  Hi, I am using a dataset on the server, in this dataset I have a datatable that calls a stored procedure and returns column names from three tables. I call this stored procedure using a web service. I manage to show all the column names in my combobox but when I want to click a button and insert selected column name into a richtextbox I get System.Data.DataRowView in the textbox instead. • Making div fixed vertically but glued to the page's border horizontally

  Hi! Can you please go to: http://www.binarymark.com/Products/ColorPickerPro/default.aspx and note the page's layout. What I want to do is to stick or "glue" some small div to the right side of the page, that is so that it's just outside of the right frame of the page. However, vertically I want the div to be fixed to a Window, that is no matter how much the page is scrolled, it should remain a fixed 300px from the top edge of the window. • CSS gaps between image links for no reason

  Hi, I've been trying to get this horizontal navigation sorted for the past few hours now and nothing is working. I've tried reset.css stylesheets, *{padding: 0; margin: 0) etc. and I still have gaps inbetween my image links. You see, the navigation is made up of an unordered list of image links displayed inline, but there are gaps in between each image, left, right, top and bottom and I can't see why. It's the same in all browsers. Here is a link to the page, and so source: Beansheaf Temporary I can't post more than one link (damn reputation) so the css is at the same url but in the directory "styles" and is called "fund2.css".   If you have a "ball" inside a 2D polygon, made up of say, 4 line segments that act as bounding walls, how do you calculate the angle of the ball after the collision with the irregularly sloped wall? I know how to make the ball bounce if the wall is horizontal, vertical, or at a 45 degree angle. I also have my code setup to detect a collision with the wall. I've read about dot products and normals, but I cannot figure out how to implement these in Java / Android. I'm completely stumped and feel like I've looked up everything 10 pages deep in Google 10 times now. I'm burned out trying to figure this out, I hope someone can help.

• How to stop IE8 from expanding a nested div's width to fit parent div?

  I have a page with several levels of divs. In one of the inner divs, there are two divs (1 & 2) which have float; left so that they are on the same horizontal level. It looks good in FireFox, but in the IE8, div 2 is below div 1. I turned the borders on and noticed div2 (violet border) is filling the width of the parent box. In FF, the width is the width of all the content only. If I use a hard coded width (not a good idea), IE8 displays it fine. How can I make IE8 not expand the width of div2 to the right edge of its parent div? IE8 (not good: div2 width is expanded) Firefox (good: width of div2 is not expanded)

• Can you explain this odd behavior with dragging items into nested sortables?

  I have the following setup: A sortable list where one of the <li> has a table with lists in each cell. All of the lists are sortable with each other. Draggable items that can be added to any of the sortables Issue: When adding a draggable item ('drag 1', 'drag 2', 'drag 3') to one of the lists in the horizontal lists (table of lists) it duplicates the draggable when dropped. Sometimes it will create both copies in the same list or one in the item list and one in the column list. • jQuery Tools - Range Input with Mousewheel support

  I've got a nice looking horizontal scroller that uses the Range Input feature of jQ Tools. Mouse wheel scrolling support would be awesome, and I'm sure it can work, just not sure how to get it set up. I've got the generic setup: var scroll = jQuery('#scroll'); jQuery(':range').rangeinput({ speed: 0, progress: true, onSlide: function(ev, step) { scroll.css({left: -step}); }, change: function(e, i) { scroll.animate({left: -i}, "fast"); } }); The doc page ( http://jquerytools.org/documentation/toolbox/mousewheel.html ) for mousewheel gives an example: $("#myelement").mousewheel(function(event, delta) { }); But I'm not sure how this hooks in. Other tools in the package simply allow the option: mousewheel: true Unfortunately that doesn't work on range input. Any advice appreciated. Thank you.
