  I have a template system, that replaces text such as {HEADER} with the appropriate content. I use an array like this, that replaces the key with the value using str_replace. $array = array("HEADER","This is the header"); foreach($array as $var => $content) { $template = str_replace("{" . strtoupper($var). "}", $content,$template); } Now im trying to use a defined variable like this: define("NAME","Site Name"); Inside the value for the header. So I want the defined variable to be inside the array which gets replaced so it would look like this, but it doesn't work. $array = array("HEADER","Welcome to ".NAME."'s website!"); Any ideas? tell me if im not clear

• Rename Files in Python

  Hi all, Im trying to rename some files in a directory using python. I've looked around the forums here, and because i'm a noob, I cant adapt what I need from what is out there. Say I have a file called CHEESE_CHEESE_TYPE.*** and want to remove "Cheese_" so my resulting filename would be "CHEESE_TYPE" Im trying to use the os.path.split but it's not working properly. I have also considered using string manipulations, but have not been successful with that either. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

  im processing a large file with sentences, i only care about the lines that have english or japanese, so while im reading the file, if i find english or japanese sentence, i want to just save it in an array and after finished reading, open another file for writting and output all the sentences in the array. this would result in me setting about 160,000 variables. all strings, some short some long. just wondering if its a bad idea to for memeory to set so many values? example line from the file: "1978033 jpn ?????????????????????"

• HP P212 hangs on Initializing

  I'm in trouble... Server: HP Microserver N36L Storage: HP P212/256 with BBWC Drives: 4 WD 2 Tb While expanding the RAID 5 array from 3 to 4 drives, the server rebooted itself. Expansion was at 76%. Now at boot the P212 seems to hang on initializing. After some time screen resets and the server boots, but in the os (Windows Server 2008R2) the P212 has errors (error code 10) and it's not seen by the HP ACU. Whats' going on? It's trying to complete the expansion? It's trying to make all over the expansion? It's simply stuck? What should I do? I NEED the data on the array! PS In the server BIOS, on the hd boot priority, the server still reports the array logical drive... maybe it's a good sign... PPS I'm not at the server physical location, so I cannot tell if the drives in the array are being accessed (that would be the case if the controller it's redoing/completing the expansion process) or not right now. • Apache outputs all urls of a second domain as a subfolder of the primary domain name

  Hi all, would anyone be able to possibly give me some guidance.. Basically, i have a 'shared hosting' account with a large internet hosting provider, and my account lets me have multiple seperate domains within this folder structure.(note: not aliased domains and not sub domains). so, my goal is to have 2 domains set up. i have already purchased the two domain names i need: The first domain is the 'primary' domain name for the root folder(eg. www.example1.com) and the second domain name is set for one of its sub folders(eg. www.example2.com is set to the folder www.example1.com/sites/music). The problem is that when apache returns a page of the second domain back to the browser, apache writes the hyperlinks as if it's a sub folder of the first domain ( eg. www.example2.com/index.html. comes out as http://www.example1.com/sites/music/index.html). Now, I have done some reading on this, looking though "Apache: the definitive guide"(o'reilly), and although it was useful, couldn't really find the answer. i'm guessing this issue is most likely an apache setup issue in http.conf, rather than an issue with the hosting company itself (which is why im posting it here) and I have also been to the official documentation for apache site, and i am guessing i might need to use something like the rewritebase directive in htaccess files.. but im really not sure, im more of a java programmer guy, and have been struggling with this for a couple of days. Any guidance would be REALLY appreciated. If it helps, my hosting company is godaddy, and my sites are hosted on linux. My problem was originally with wordpress which i reinstalled a number of times in various ways to correct the problem, but ive just done a test with a very simple static html, and it still has the same issue with relative urls like this: <html> <head></head><body><a href="images/dog.html">Pictures of Dogs</a></body> </html> However, it is fine if i hardcode the urls like this: <html> <head></head><body><a href="http://www.example2.com/images/dog.html">Pictures of Dogs</a></body> </html> Thanks heaps, Steve R NOW FIXED Ok, the problem has now been fixed, and i didn't need to modify any .conf or .htaccess files. The problem was, that when I went to install the second application into a second domain from the godaddy site, one of the setup questions is that it asks you which site you want it installed to. after that it asks for the desired folder path. However, the problem was that the second domain name was already pointing to the correct subfolder of the primary domain. So when I started installing wordpress again and came to the menu to select which site it was for, and it listed only the primary domain as an option, i assumed that this was like a label of "which hosting account?", or "which primary domain will your application will be installed under?" because I already knew that in the next step i was specifiying the folder. In order to correct this, you must make sure that your second domain is added to your domain list so that it will be listed as an option during the installation process. Surprised to find I was not the owner and that there is a password that locks me out. I only set one password during set up so what is this mysterious password.   What are some recommendations for a build tool that would allow me to upload changes to a web server or a repository and minify the js and css automatically, and possibly even run Closure compiler on the JavaScript? Im not worried about doing anything with the php code other than update with most recent changes although in the future would like to have phpdoc updated automatically.   Im currently in the process of migrating our many BizTalk projects from MKS source control to TFS.  While we will be using TFS for work item tracking and source control etc we will be continuing to use Cruise Control for continuous integration although im updating this to CCNet 1.5 at the same time. Ill post a few things as much as a reminder to myself about some of the problems we come across. Problem After the first build of our code the next time a build is triggered an error is encountered by the TFS source control block refreshing the source code. Interestingly there are other folders created by the build which are deleted fine.  My assumption is that this if something to do with the file adapter polling the directory.  However note that we have not had this problem with other source control blocks in the past. • ubuntu wont boot,, frozen at boot manager

  im running ubuntu desktop 12.04, and well, i have no idea what happened. my computer lost power and died, and when i plugged it in and powered back on it took me to the sign in page and froze. i turned the computer off again and powered back on, this time hitting f2 and going to boot options, and the boot options page is frozen. ive powered up and down and tried a few times, all i get is a frozen boot options screen any ideas?

  Wrote a script in bash. Now im need to bring information into a text file,for example in PostScript, but there is one problem. I need to have a certain length of string in characters, and stretch or shrink the string on the entire width of the page layout. I have tried a2ps and enscript, but there is no such option. Please tell me the solution to this problem, maybe in Ghostscript. Thanks in advance!

  Im new in linux, just installed Ubuntu 11.10 in a Dell Inspiron 9400, everything works fine with the exception of the SD card reader, everytime I insert a card the computer doesnt do anything, its like the SD card reader is not there. • How to completely remove ldap and remove the directory tree

  so I followed this guide: https://help.ubuntu.com/11.04/serverguide/C/openldap-server.html to install and configure ldap but then I discoverd both phpLDAPadmin and Luma and have decided to rebuild my tree from scratch using one of those tools. However Im not sure how to completely remove LDAP now. I can remove it using apt-get, but if I attempt to reinstall it and login using phpLDAPadmin it seems that it's still looking for older authentication and gives me a credential error

  Im moving hosting and need to move the emails stored with the old domain/hosting, the hosting i want to transfer from uses open-xchange for its webmail and the hosting i want to move to uses horde for their webmail. Is their an automated way from inside of the open xchange webmail, or is there a way i can do it from inside of outlook / mac mail ? not sure if this is the right place for this, if not please advise..

But what I want to know is if it is possible to connect some Flash applications as clients to the Delphi developed server? The Flash applications must be able to access data in the database and also be able to update and insert records. Can something like this be done? Im using Delphi XE2 and the Flash is written with Actionscript 3
