• Display virtual keyword asp.net for password

  Hi! I have a login page with an input of type "password" I would like to have a virtual keyboard to enter the password. I've searched and I found the jquery script for virtual keyboard. The code said to add this to my page $('input[type=password]').keyboard({ layout: "qwerty", customLayout: [["q w e r t y {bksp}", "Q W E R T Y {bksp}"], ["s a m p l e {shift}", "S A M P L E {shift}"], ["{accept} {space} {cancel}", "{accept} {space} {cancel}"]] }); but I cant make it work!!!! nothing happens when y set focus on my password control.   Hi guys, I need to make an authentication script in php. I have already made a login.php page, where the user can enter his unsername/password and it gets checked against a database. If the unsername/password are correct, the user should be forwarded to members.php page together with a $_SERVER['username'] variable. What is the command in PHP to go to another webpage, in this case members.php ? in pseudocode I see it like this: if ( unsername/password are OK ) { $_SERVER['username'] = $username; goto(members.php); } Thanks!

  Slashdot has a little widget that allows you to tweak your comment threshold to filter out down-modded comments. It will be in one place if you scroll to the top of the page, and as you scroll down, at some point, where its original home is about to scroll off the page, it will switch to fixed position, and stay on your screen. (To see an example, click here.) My question is, how can I accomplish the same effect of having a menu be in one place when scrolled up, and switch to fixed position as the user scrolls down? I know this will involve a combination of CSS and javascript. I'm not necessarily looking for a full example of working code, but what steps will my code need to go through?

• Asp.net Site on GoDaddy Loads Slowly

  I just published a very small site to GoDaddy that I programmed in Microsoft Visual Web Developer 2008. The site only contains 6 sheets, none of which are data intensive. Each has a few small images that serve mostly to navigate to the other sheets. There is no data, no SQL, nothing like that. There is one master page that governs the page layout for all of the pages. Everything works fine, for the most part. I am posting because the site loads quite slowly, particularly considering how little content is being loaded. Can anybody give me any advice about what I should look at to speed this thing up a little bit? Is this an asp.net issue? Use of master pages? Godaddy? Something else? I'm a newbie, so speak slowly.   According to http://www.lagmonster.org/docs/vi2.html the command :p would make vi go to the previous file. Unfortunately, this isn't working for me. However :n works and goes to the next page. What should I use to go to the previous file? For :p I get the message, Hit Return to continue and it stays in the same page. Thanks. Edit: I am sshing to an AIX box and using the vi in Ksh if that helps.

• iOS 6&7: Storyboard, master detail ViewController when detailViewController is dynamic

  I'm building an app for iPhone, I want to use storyboard in XCode to do a simple selection from a tableView (let's call it master table view controller with couple rows) then through navigation it goes to next page and shows a detail view for that selection. I have in my code a base class representing my detailViewController, and have 2-3 driver classes of this base class representing what I want to show in detail view controller in second page, can someone give me an idea how to set destination viewController (detailViewController) dynamically to one of my child class based on the selected row in master view controller using storyboard? Usually you assign a class to destination class in storyboard for your detail view controller with using segue, but since my destination class could be a different (child class) how you set this in storyboard? • JQuery Validate Dynamic Table

  I'm using the JQuery validation plug to validate my entire form. I also have a dynamic table on my registration page where the user can register more people. I can validate the rest of the form fine but my goal is to validate the table inputs just the same. Here is my jfiddle code: tables I don't know why the add line won't work there but it definitely works on my page. Anyway, that code ends up validate ONLY the first row of my table, but I want it to validate every single row. Can anyone see any problems with the code?

  I've made a web application that has the following architecture: Every form is a UserControl, there is just one actual page (Default.aspx), and a parameter in the URL specifies which UserControl to load. The UserControl is loaded in an UpdatePanel so that it can enjoy full AJAX-iness. There is also an elaborate message displaying mechanism that I use. Eventually messages end up in one designated area on top of the Default.ASPX with some nice formatting 'n stuff. Now, I would also like to capture any unhandled exceptions that originate in the UserControl and display it in this area with all the bells-and-whistles that I've made for messages. How can I do this? The Page.Error and ScriptManager.AsyncPostBackError somehow don't work for me...

• ASMX Web Service - "This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace." message

  I've created a web service using Visual Studio ( 2005 - I know I'm old school ) and it all compiles fine but when it opens I get warned thus: This web service does not conform to WS-I Basic Profile v1.1. And furthermore: This web service is using http://tempuri.org/ as its default namespace. Which would be fine except my service begins thus: [WebService(Namespace = "http://totally-not-default-uri.com/servicename")] Searching the entire solution folder for "tempuri" returns nothing. I can't find it mentioned in any configuration page acessible from Visual Studio. And yet it's right there in the wsdl:definitions list for the xmlns:tns attribute on the web service descriptor page when I view it through the browser and as targetNamespace in the same tag. I'm viewing it using Visual Studio's "debug" mode with the built in server from that. Seems like something has got cached somewhere but I can't work out what and where- I've tried stopping and restarting the server, cleaning and rebuilding the service and going through the associated text config files with a text editor but no dice. Any idea what is going on?

• File paths with XSLT includes

  Hi again everyone. I'm working on a website with a large number of pages, and each one has this in it: <xsl:include href="team-menu.xsl" /> This xsl file is stored in the root directory. Essentially including my "team menu" on each page. My problem is when I include this on nested pages, e.g. "/teammembers/smith.xsl", the links in the menu are broken because they refer to pages that aren't in the same directory as the page i'm viewing. This is probably really easy, but I just don't know how to fix it. Is there a way to tell the XSL the root directory and/or set some sort of global directory? Thanks for your help!

• Ignoring unclosed tags from another <div>?

  I have a website where members can input text using a limited subset of HTML. When a page is displayed that contains a user's text, if they have any unclosed tags, the formatting "bleeds" across into the next area. For example, if the user entered: Hi, my name is <b>John Then, the rest of the page will be bold. Ideally, there'd be someting I could do that would be this simple: <div contained>Hi, my name is <b>John</div> And no tags could bleed out of that div. Assuming there isn't anything this simple, how would I accomplish a similar effect? Or, is there something this easy? Importantly, I do not want to validate the user's input and return an error if they have unclosed tags, since I want to provide the "easiest" user interface possible for my users. Thanks!

• Is it possible to register a user and submit a comment with one form with Wordpress?

  Is it possible to do both registering for an account and submit a comment at the same time? I want the user to be able to do this all on one page to ecourage the registration rather than be discouraged about typing something, not realizing they had to be registered and thus having to leave the page. I think that this could be done by adding register user action to the submit comment action, but not sure how to do it with the prebuilt wordpress add_action or do_action functions. Has anyone tried this, or know of any plug-ins that do this already? I searched but couldn't find anything helpful. Thanks.

• javascript memory leak

  I have a some javascript (used with google maps api) that I am testing on IE and Chrome and noticed memory leak symptoms in IE only: when I refresh the page continuously, the amount of memory used in IE keeps growing (fast), but in Chrome it stays constant. Without posting all of the code (as it is rather long), can I get some suggestions as to what to look out for? What could cause the memory to keep growing like this in IE on page refreshes? Like I said I know its hard without code, but I'd like to see if any generic advice works first. Thanks.

• Code in Global.asax prevents webpage from loading

  I've made a static class to hold a number of configuration values (and also swap these values out in unit tests). If I initialise it in the Global.asax, the code runs correctly but the page doesn't load at all, and trying to navigate to a specific page fails. I can't initialise the values in a constructor or inline on the field declarations, because I need to be able to swap the values out in unit tests before the web.config is interrogated. Basically, putting the one line "ConfigClass.SetValues()" in the Global.asax prevents the app from loading correctly (although, as I say, it runs the code fine) and removing it again makes the app load properly - but without the class values initialised. As an aside, I'm sure I had this working correctly and being initialised in the Global.asax yesterday. I'm positive I didn't take any action to change or break it... Does anyone have advice on how I might track down what's going on here? Was I mistaken that it worked before (always possible) and that I need to go back and redesign something?

• CSS layout changes in Internet explorer

  My problem: I just coded a website that is styled just fine in chrome and firefox. However in internet explorer(9) it breaks. the gray header background is supposed to be pushed up to the right of the logo block, and the buttons are supposed to be in the dark grey area.   Hi, I am running a query using a scope and some conditions. Something like this: conditions[:offset] = (options[:page].to_i - 1) * PAGE_SIZE unless options[:page].blank? conditions[:limit] = options[:limit] ||= PAGE_SIZE scope = Promo.enabled.active results = scope.all conditions I'd like to add a computed column to the query (at the point when I'm now calling scope.all). Something like this: (ACOS(least(1,COS(0.71106459055501)*COS(-1.2915436464758)*COS(RADIANS(addresses.lat))*COS(RADIANS(addresses.lng))+ COS(0.71106459055501)*SIN(-1.2915436464758)*COS(RADIANS(addresses.lat))*SIN(RADIANS(addresses.lng))+ SIN(0.71106459055501)*SIN(RADIANS(addresses.lat))))*3963.19) as accurate_distance Is there a way to do that without just using find_by_sql and rewriting the whole existing query? Within the Standalone Application a web browser needs to be opened, going to a page within the Web Application. This page is for authorized users only. • Not able to get response back on java code while http get with S60

I made one page for user authentication and using .net wcf service to authenticate user. i am able to send data on .net service by HttpGet method but not able to get response back on java page. I have tested it on fiddler with this url its working fine and returning response code 200, but not getting response code by java code. Following code i am using. • How do I parse an XML file that's on a different web server?

  I have a list of training dates saved into an XML file, and I have a little javascript file that parses all of the training dates and spits them out into a neatly formatted page. This solution was fine until we decided that we wanted another web-page on another sever to access the same XML file. Since I cannot use JavaScript to parse an XML file that's located on another server, I figured I'd just use an ASP script. • GMap in iframe gets off-center

  I have a Google Map (API 2) that used to work fine as a standalone page. However, when I load the map page within an iframe (with Thickbox), the map gets off-center: normally it's centered over Germany and in the iframe it centers on Iran, instead. How to make the map center correctly? My guesses: The problem can result from the iframe loading time. I guess, that the script calculates window size basing on the iframe size when it's still loading. It's strange since I load the map when the document is ready. $(document).ready(function() { setupSearchForm(); setupMap(); setupResults(); }); For instance, when I refresh the already loaded iframe the center comes back to Germany.
