    When I change on proxy-server page from cnn.com (I add javascript, that call document.location), result of the document.location is some url of advertisement: http://ads.cnn.com/html.ng/site=cnn_international&cnn_intl_pagetype=mmst&cnn_intl_position=336x850_rgt&cnn_intl_rollup=asia&page.allowcompete=yes&params.styles=fs&tile=5656033441721&domId=894131 and not current url:http://edition.cnn.com/2010/WORLD/asiapcf/04/13/soccer.world.cup.pakistan/index.html?hpt=C1 Do you know, where can be problem?

I exported the .sql file according to the instructions here http://codex.wordpress.org/Backing_Up_Your_Database but I keep getting this error when importing: DROP TABLE IF EXISTS `wp_commentmeta` ; MySQL said: Documentation #1046 - No database selected Any help very much appreciated.   • asp.net mvc 2 method not found

    When I run my asp.net mvc 2 site (shared hosting) I get the following error: Method not found: 'Void System.Web.Mvc.DataAnnotationsModelValidatorProvider.set_AddImplicitRequiredAttributeForValueTypes(Boolean)'. In the bin directory I have System.Web.Mvc.dll version 2.0.50217.0 On my local dev machine it runs fine. Is it possible that if the hosting provider has a different mvc 2 version installed it would cause this error? Thank you!

    hi helpful people, i'm trying to get my old blogger blog feed URL (/blog/atom.xml) to redirect to my new blog feed URL (/blog/feed). A regular 301 redirect didn't work, and the advice given on the wordpress site, which is: RewriteRule ^oldfeed.php(.*)? /wordpress/?feed=newfeed [QSA] isn't quite cutting it either - probably because i'm not sure how to adjust the code for oldfeed to accomodate a directory. or for some other reason entirely!   • Cakephp Auth Flash Messages losing style

    My Auth flash messages were working earlier -- a bright green background with text in it, such as "You have successfully logged out". However, I have made quite a few changes to the site since then, and this green background has disappeared. What are the possible causes of this? (I've run my CSS through a validator -- so that doesn't seem to be the issue). Any other ideas? Thanks!

    I currently have a simple flash Mp3 player on my site which works lovely. The issue is, most cell phones do not support flash and a large portion of my visitors come through via a mobile device. The alternative to this is to replace the flash player with a javascript player. I found a JQuery one but it only works on HTML5 compatible browsers. Does anyone know of a good alternative that would work on mobile devices as well as most desktop web browsers?

    Hello, I have a transparent table with width:100% which contains some html content. I use the table in order to position a content element on the screen center. The table captures mouse events, and the user can't press on links which are positioned beneath it (although it is transparent). Is there a way to tell the browser to ignore events on the table? I want to capture events only from the content inside the table (and from the rest of the site). Thanks Yaron

    Hello there, all of my Joomla site's contents shows apostrophes as \' instead of just '. Now my head is spinning from looking at all the million places where individual components and joomla itself does add/remove slashes and deals with magic quotes and all of this... I also found that one can rather easily write one's own OutputFilter for the patTemplate, so I thought maybe I would just do a str_replace of all \' to '. Doesn't sound right. How to deal with these apostrophes?

  • When does a PHP script end?

    In my mind, a web app something that runs continuously; therefore, I'm confused by documentation pages that talk about the "end" of a PHP script (eg this one). Such references seem to refer to the end of each web request, but if the script ends there, doesn't that mean that the OS has to setup a whole new process for each request? That seems unlikely, because spinning up a whole new process is expensive, and be very inefficient for the whole site.
