  • Sencha 2 : Sync models with hasMany associations in LocalStorage

    - by Alytrem
    After hours and hours trying to do this, I need your help. I have to models : Project and Task. A project hasMany tasks and a task belong to a project. Everyting works well if you don't use a store to save these models. I want to save both tasks and projects in two stores (TaskStore and ProjectStore). These stores use a LocalStorage proxy. I tried many things, and the most logical is : Ext.define('MyApp.model.Task', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', config: { fields: [ { name: 'name', type: 'string' }, { dateFormat: 'd/m/Y g:i', name: 'start', type: 'date' }, { dateFormat: 'd/m/Y g:i', name: 'end', type: 'date' }, { name: 'status', type: 'string' } ], belongsTo: { model: 'MyApp.model.Project' } } }); Ext.define('MyApp.model.Project', { extend: 'Ext.data.Model', alias: 'model.Project', config: { hasMany: { associationKey: 'tasks', model: 'MyApp.model.Task', autoLoad: true, foreignKey: 'project_id', name: 'tasks', store: {storeId: "TaskStore"} }, fields: [ { name: 'name', type: 'string' }, { dateFormat: 'd/m/Y', name: 'start', type: 'date' }, { dateFormat: 'd/m/Y', name: 'end', type: 'date' } ] } }); This is my "main" : var project = Ext.create("MyApp.model.Project", {name: "mojo", start: "17/03/2011", end: "17/03/2012", status: "termine"}); var task = Ext.create("MyApp.model.Task", {name: "todo", start: "17/03/2011 10:00", end: "17/03/2012 19:00", status: "termine"}); project.tasks().add(task); Ext.getStore("ProjectStore").add(project); The project is added to the store, but task is not. Why ?!

  • qTip with jQuery dialogs

    - by MikeWyatt
    I'm using qTip to show validation errors in a grid. The tooltip appears after a failed row save and doesn't disappear until the row is resaved or the changes are canceled. The problem with this is that opening a dialog while the tooltip is visible causes the tooltip to be rendered on top of the dialog. That is because the z-index is hard-coded to 6000+ for all tooltips, while jQuery dialogs are set to 1000+. I could fix this problem by changing the hard-coded value in qTip to <1000, but then tooltips fired from the dialog will appear behind the dialog. Is there anything I can do, aside from changing the qTip code or using a different tooltip library?

  • To not iterate through function of Array object if it is added to Array prototype

    - by Rishat Muhametshin
    According to the way to add indexOf method to Array class in IE6, how do I now reject this method from iterating through any random array? For example: Array.prototype.indexOf = function(needle) { ... }; var array = [1, 2, 3]; for (var i in array) { document.write(i + ': ' + array[i]); } gives output 0: 1 1: 2 2: 3 indexOf: function ... How can I skip indexOf property and stop iterating on it without adding any code to where for(...) is called?

  • jquery drag and drop animation

    - by Cameron
    I have some UI functionality for drag and drop, but when an element is dropped, the animation makes it flit about all over the place for a split second before it appears in the newly dropped location. Can anyone advise how to tackle this, so that the draggable element moves more cleanly into place on success? ... success : function() { $(ui.draggable) .parent().droppable("option", "disabled", false) .end() .appendTo(droppable) .droppable("option", "disabled", true); }, ...

    HTML: <div class="filter"> <a href="#category-1">category 1</a> <a href="#category-2">category 2</a> </div> <ul class="items"> <li class="category-1">item 1</li> <li class="category-1">item 2</li> <li class="category-2">item 3</li> <li class="category-2">item 4</li> </ul> What I want is for example clicking on 'category 1' link should hide all other category items from the list. I understand jQuery's .filter() selector can be used but I'm not sure how to implement it for my purpose here. Thanks for your help!

  • JS - Why is this hidden div not showing in IE?

    - by Dodi300
    Hello. I've made a page which should show a div when the user clicks on a input text box. The div will contain more information about the required input, etc. The page works fine on FireFox and the div shows, but when using IE the div just doesn't show. It seems like I've tried everything and nothing has worked so far. This is the page. Maybe you could look at the source and see what I'm doing wrong? If you need me to upload the source as a text file, I can do that. Thanks for the help!

  • Translate Prototype code into Jquery version

    - by user1055495
    I everybody, I'm working on a SaaS application and I need to use Jquery instead of Prototype due to some extra plugins integration. My code that was wotking a charm with Prototype is not running anymore with Jquery and I'm not used to write in this framework... Is there someone to help me in "translating" this one: Thanks a lot for your help. var rates = new Array(); <% for tva_rate in @tva_rates -%> rates.push(new Array(<%= tva_rate.id %>, '<%=h tva_rate.taux %>', '<%=h tva_rate.compte_id %>' )); <% end -%> function tvaSelected() { tva_id = $('journal_tva_id').getValue(); show = 1; if (tva_id > 0){ rates.each(function(rate) { if (rate[0] == tva_id) { $('journal_taux').setValue(rate[1]); $('journal_compte_tva').setValue(rate[2]); show = 2; } }); } if (show == 1) { $('tva_taux_field').hide(); } else { $('tva_taux_field').show(); } } document.observe('dom:loaded', function() { tvaSelected(); $('journal_tva_id').observe('change', tvaSelected); });

  • Print new line in the source-code with jQuery.

    - by Kucebe
    I have a simple function in jQuery that creates new elements in the DOM. the problem is in the html source code, it append every element in the same line, and it's very bad to read. function _loadNewElements(elements){ for(var i=0; i<elements.length; i++){ var fixedElement = $('<img />') var position = elements[i].position; var cssMap = { 'position': 'fixed', 'top': position.top + "px", 'left': position.left + "px" }; fixedElement.css(cssMap); fixedElement.addClass("fixedTag"); fixedElement.attr('alt', elements[i].text); fixedElement.attr('src', "elements/" + elements[i].id + ".png"); fixedElement.appendTo($('#board')); //i'd like to print something here like ("\n"); } } I tried document.write("\n") but in this context it doesn't work. Any solution?

  • password-check directive in angularjs

    - by mpm
    I'm writing a password verify directive : Directives.directive("passwordVerify",function(){ return { require:"ngModel", link: function(scope,element,attrs,ctrl){ ctrl.$parsers.unshift(function(viewValue){ var origin = scope.$eval(attrs["passwordVerify"]); if(origin!==viewValue){ ctrl.$setValidity("passwordVerify",false); return undefined; }else{ ctrl.$setValidity("passwordVerify",true); return viewValue; } }); } }; }); html : <input data-ng-model='user.password' type="password" name='password' placeholder='password' required> <input data-ng-model='user.password_verify' type="password" name='confirm_password' placeholder='confirm password' required data-password-verify="user.password"> Given 2 password fields in a form, if both password values are equal then the field affected by the directive is valid. The issue is that it works one way (i.e. when I type a password in the password-verify field). However, when the original password field is updated, the password-verify doesn't become valid. Any idea how I could have a "two way binding verify?"

  • Trouble with Canvas rendering in Safari/Opera

    - by Jon
    Been banging my head against this one for a while, and figured I'd turn to the experts for some advice. I've made a jQuery snippet that grabs the values from a table and plots them in a line graph on a canvas element (also generated by the JS). All's well in Firefox and Chrome, but Safari and Opera aren't displaying the plotted points. I've reviewed in Firebug, Web Inspector debugger, JSLint, and checked the markup with the w3 validator, but still can't find anything glaringly obvious. Any chance one of you guys could help me out? Here's a page with a simplified example: http://bit.ly/aAshPQ Thanks!

  • How to implement partial refresh like facebook like/comments?

    We have java web application. Summary page will display list of rows. For each row, user can vote and add comments. Vote or add comments will commit immediately and refresh total vote number and comments count. We want to refresh current row instead of whole table just like Facebook does. If need, we can show the list of data with form format (iterator List of data) instead of table format. How to implement this feature base on JSF?

  • unfounded Secure Unsecure Messages

    - by Marty Trenouth
    I'm having significant difficulty locating the root cause for a secure/insecure message comming from IE. I've looked through the entire output and there are NO references to http: I've searched for unsource Iframes, which cause this message, and there are none and other than jquery 1.4 there isn't even the text "iframe" in the source. I'm almost at an end trying the cause for this. Does anyone have any ideas

  • How do I remove descendant elements from a jQuery wrapped set?

    - by Bungle
    I'm a little confused about which jQuery method and/or selectors to use when trying to select an element, and then remove certain descendant elements from the wrapped set. For example, given the following HTML: <div id="article"> <div id="inset"> <ul> <li>This is bullet point #1.</li> <li>This is bullet point #2.</li> <li>This is bullet point #3.</li> </ul> </div> <p>This is the first paragraph of the article</p> <p>This is the second paragraph of the article</p> <p>This is the third paragraph of the article</p> </div> I want to select the article: var $article = $('#article'); but then remove <div id="inset"></div> and its descendants from the wrapped set. I tried the following: var $article = $('#article').not('#inset'); but that didn't work, and in retrospect, I think I can see why. I also tried using remove() unsuccessfully. What would be the correct way to do this? Ultimately, I need to set this up in such a way that I can define a configuration array, such as: var selectors = [ { select: '#article', exclude: ['#inset'] } ]; where select defines a single element that contains text content, and exclude is an optional array that defines one or more selectors to disregard text content from. Given the final wrapped set with the excluded elements removed, I would like to be able to call jQuery's text() method to end up with the following text: This is the first paragraph of the article.This is the second paragraph of the article.This is the third paragraph of the article. The configuration array doesn't need to work exactly like that, but it should provide roughly equivalent configuration potential. Thanks for any help you can provide!

  • Does jQuery have an equivalent to Prototype's Element.identify?

    - by Alan Storm
    Is there a built in method or defacto default plugin that will let you automatically assign an unique ID to an element in jQuery, or do you need to implement something like this yourself? I'm looking for the jQuery equivalent to Prototype's identify method Here's an example. I have some HTML structure on a page that looks like this <span id="prefix_1">foo bar</span> ... <div id="foo"> <span></span> <span></span> <span></span> </div> I want to assign each of the spans an ID that will be unique to the page. So after calling something like this $('#foo span').identify('prefix'); //fake code, no such method The rendered DOM would look something like this <span id="prefix_1">foo bar</span> ... <div id="foo"> <span id="prefix_2"></span> <span id="prefix_3"></span> <span id="prefix_4"></span> </div> Is there anything official-ish/robust for jQuery, or is this something most jQuery developers roll on their own?

  • AJAX: Problems returning multiple variables

    - by fwaokda
    First off sorry if I'm missing something simple just started working with AJAX today. I have an issue where I'm trying to get information from my database, but different records have different amounts of values. For instance, each record has a "features" column. In the features column I store a string. (ex: Feature1~Feature2~Feature3~Feature4... ) When I'm building the object I take apart the string and store all the features into an array. Some objects can have 1 feature others can have up to whatever. So... how do I return this values back to my ajax function from my php page? Below is my ajax function that I was trying and I'll provide a link with my php file. [ next.php : http://pastebin.com/SY74jV7X ] $("a#next").click(function() { $.ajax({ type : 'POST', url : 'next.php', dataType : 'json', data : { nextID : $("a#next").attr("rel") }, success : function ( data ) { var lastID = $("a#next").attr("rel"); var originID = $("a#next").attr("rev"); if(lastID == 1) { lastID = originID; } else { lastID--; } $("img#spotlight").attr("src",data.spotlightimage); $("div#showcase h1").text(data.title); $("div#showcase h2").text(data.subtitle); $("div#showcase p").text(data.description); $("a#next").attr("rel", lastID); for(var i=0; i < data.size; i++) { $("ul#features").append("<li>").text(data.feature+i).append("</li>"); } /* for(var j=1; j < data.picsize; j++) { $("div.thumbnails ul").append("<li>").text(data.image+j).append("</li>"); } */ }, error : function ( XMLHttpRequest, textStatus, errorThrown) { $("div#showcase h1").text("An error has occured: " + errorThrown); } }); });

  • Getting search results from Twitter in php

    - by Mark Mayo
    I'm attempting to put together a little mashup with some twitter APIs. However, the whole area is new to me (I'm more of an embedded developer dabbling). And frustratingly, every tutorial I am trying in Php is either out of date, not doing what it claims to do, it or is broken. Essentially, I just want a nice bit of example code - say, an HTML file, a connection.js for the JQuery magic, and a php file - 'getsearch' which contains the relevant Curl calls to the API to just return the results for a given search term. Followed the tutorial to the letter at http://www.reynoldsftw.com/2009/02/using-jquery-php-ajax-with-the-twitter-api/ and even downloaded the guy's code and chucked it on my webserver, but it just seems to sit there. I'm relatively competent at php and html, but it's the Curl and the JQuery side of things which is new to me, and would appreciate any thoughts, links, or code suggestions. I've attempted reading the API - but even that seems sparse - and several links are broken to their own tutorials, so that's put me off a bit for now.
