  • Cannot Generate ParameterSetMetadata While Programmatically Creating A Parameter Block

    I'm trying to programmatically create a parameter block for a function ( along the lines of this blog post ). I'm starting with a CommandMetadata object (from an existing function). I can create the ParameterMetadata object and set things like the ParameterType, the name, as well as some attributes. The problem I'm running into is that when I use the GetParamBlock method of the ProxyCommand class, none of my attributes that I set in the Attributes collection of the ParameterMetadata are generated. The problem this causes is that when the GetParamBlock is called, the new parameter is not annotated with the appropriate Parameter attribute.     I'm trying to implement the A* algorithm in Java. I followed this tutorial,in particular, this pseudocode: http://theory.stanford.edu/~amitp/GameProgramming/ImplementationNotes.html The problem is my code doesn't work. It goes into an infinite loop. I really don't know why this happens... I suspect that the problem are in F = G + H function implemented in Graph constructors. I suspect I am not calculate the neighbor F correclty. Looks like it keeps forever in the first step.

    I have a table DEAL and a table DEAL_TYPE. And I'm having a hard time mapping the classes to the database. The database looks something like that: TABLE DEAL { Long id; Long typeId; } TABLE DEAL_TYPE { Long id; String text; } I know I could use a simple @OneToMany relationship from deal to deal type, but I would prefer to use an enum. Is this possible? I almost got it working by using a EnumType.ORDINAL type. But unfortunately, my IDs in my deal type table are not sequential, and do not start at 1. Any suggestions?

    I'm trying to Use python's Beautiful Soup Library to grab a bunch of divs from an html file, and from there get the string - which is a money value - that's inside the div. Then remove the dollar sign and convert it to a decimal so that I can use a greater than and less than conditional statement to compare values. I have googled the heck out of it and can't seem to come up with a way to convert this unicode string into a decimal value. I really could use some help here. How do I convert unicode into a decimal value? I think the issue may be caused because I am requesting this information in Page_PreInit. I found a solution in a stack overflow article but I don't seem be using it properly to actually make this go. I am not sure what I am missing. Thanks in advance.

I'm considering 2 approaches to allocate "calculation" processes: Allocating processes in the system initialization, insert the ids to Processes table, and each time I want to perform calculation, I will check in the table which process is free. The questions: can I be sure that those processes are only for my use and that the operating system doesn't use them? Not allocating processes in advance. Each time when calculation should be done ask the operating system for free process.     Hello All I am encountering an issue when I am trying to load a large result set using a range query in Oracle 10g. When I try a smaller range (1 to 100), it works but when I try a larger range(1 and 1000), I get the following error "ORA-22814: attribute or element value is larger than specified in type" error.   • SSL_accept hangs... sometimes ( C, linux, openssl )

    I'm currently working on an embedded linux system. There are two crucial client applications on the system that connect to an external server ( on another embedded system, all written in C ). The two apps use different certificates. The ssl connection works... At least usually, but from time to time an error occures: the server hangs on SSL_accept() when accepting connection from one of the applications - the one using older certificates. Restarting the server application does not help, nor does restarting the client - the only way is to reboot the server system, unless I create a symbilic link to the new certificates used by the other app - only then will restarting the server app work. Never does the error occur when both applications use the same, new certificate. Could this happen due to some strange openssl cache or something like that?

    I think there are people who may be able to answer this, this is a question out of curiosity: The generic CreateInstance method from System.Activator, introduced in .NET v2 has no type constraints on the generic argument but does require a default constructor on the activated type, otherwise a MissingMethodException is thrown. To me it seems obvious that this method should have a type constraint like Activator.CreateInstance<T>() where T : new() { ... } Just an omission or some anecdote lurking here?

    I use the function "IOPMSchedulePowerEvent" to schedule Sleep or Wake-Events and registered my daemon with "IORegisterForSystemPower" to receive power-state-changes. Everything works fine! When system going sleep and later waking up at scheduled time, my daemon do some work, and after it system should going sleep again. Now my questions: How can i detect, if the system was awaked by user or by the scheduled time? How can i detect, if a user currently working with the system, so the daemon have not to put it in sleep-mode??? Thanks Nobik

  • nUnit Assert.That(method,Throws.Exception) not catching exceptions

    Hi Everyone, Can someone tell me why this unit test that checks for exceptions fails? Obviously my real test is checking other code but I'm using Int32.Parse to show the issue. [Test] public void MyTest() { Assert.That(Int32.Parse("abc"), Throws.Exception.TypeOf<FormatException>()); } The test fails, giving this error. Obviously I'm trying to test for this exception and I think I'm missing something in my syntax. Error 1 TestCase '.MyTest' failed: System.FormatException : Input string was not in a correct format. at System.Number.StringToNumber(String str, NumberStyles options, NumberBuffer& number, NumberFormatInfo info, Boolean parseDecimal) at System.Number.ParseInt32(String s, NumberStyles style, NumberFormatInfo info) at System.Int32.Parse(String s) based on the documentation at Throws Constraint (NUnit 2.5)
