    Hi am trying to use a regeX to read through my document to identify currency types whether they're $,£ or a €. The regex I've created doesn't seem to work, somebody please advise me what it should be. I'd really appreciate the help: The regEX I've created ("\$|£|€]")is in a simpleType within my XSD file used for validating a document.     So I have an input string which is a directory addres: Example: ProgramFiles/Micro/Telephone And I want to match it against a list of words very strictly: Example: Tel|Tele|Telephone I want to match against Telephone and not Tel. Right now my reg looks like this: my( $output ) = ( $input =~ m/($list)/o ); The regex above will match against Tel. What can I do to fix it?

  • Change input text to regular text on blur and ability to edit jQuery

    I'm creating a form where I'm eliminating the use of a save button. The form is made up of input text boxes and textareas. After the user enters data into the input field, I want to trigger an onBlur function and change the input into a span that contains the information that the user entered. I also want to have the ability to edit this information, so if the user clicks on the newly created span with text, it will turn back into the input field with the current information for their editing pleasure. For reference, I'm looking to have a functionality pretty much like on editing a photo title on Flickr. If possible, I'd also like to have the textbox show "saving..." for half a second after the blur to reflect interaction with server.

  • Stuck with Regular Expression code to apply HTML tag to text but exclude if inside <?> tag

I'm trying to write a bit of regex which would go through some text, written by our Editors, and apply an <acronym> tag to the first instance it finds of an abbreviation set we hold in our "Glossary of Terms". So for this example I've used the abbreviation ITS. 1st thing I thought I'd do is setup an example with a mix of scenerios I could test against, i.e. ITS sitting with punctuation, in HTML tags & ones that we've applied this to already (in other words the script has run through this before, so no need to do again). I'm almost there but just got stuck at the last point :-(. Here's the regex I've got so far - <[^<|]+?>?>ITS<[^<]+?>|ITS The Example - FROM ( EVERY ITS IN BOLD TO BE WRAPPED WITH ACRONYM ): I want you to tag thisITS, but not this wrapped one - <acronym title="ITS" id="thisIsATest">ITS</acronym> This is another test as I still want to update <p>ITS</p> that have other HTML tags wrapped around them.` ITS want ones that start sentences and ones that finish ITS.     Has anyone gotten UIFileSharingEnabled or CFBundleDocumentTypes to work? I added UIFileSharingEnabled as true to my plist and used Apple's example from the link below for CFBundleDocumentTypes, but can't seem to get it to work.   • How reliable are URIs like /index.php/seo_path

    I noticed, that sometimes (especially where mod_rewrite is not available) this path scheme is used: http://host/path/index.php/clean_url_here --------------------------^ This seems to work, at least in Apache, where index.php is called, and one can query the /clean_url_here part via $_SERVER['PATH_INFO']. PHP even kind of advertises this feature. Also, e.g., the CodeIgniter framework uses this technique as default for their URLs. The question: How reliable is the technique? Are there situations, where Apache doesn't call index.php but tries to resolve the path? What about lighttpd, nginx, IIS, AOLServer? A ServerFault question? I think it's got more to do with using this feature inside PHP code. Therefore I ask here.

    I'm trying to create a regex that matches the inverse of a certain string type (so, strings not ending in ".js", for example). According to the documentation, that should be the expression #rx"(?!\\.js$)", but it doesn't seem to work. To test it out, I have this function: (define (match-test regex) (map (lambda (text) (regexp-match? regex text)) '("foo.js" "bar.css" "baz.html" "mumble.gif" "foobar"))) (match-test #rx"\\.js$") returns (#t #f #f #f #f) as expected, but (match-test #rx"(?!\\.js$)") returns (#t #t #t #t #t), where I would expect (#f #t #t #t #t). What am I doing wrong, and how do I actually get a regex in Racket to express the idea "match anything which does not contain [x]"?

  • .NET Regular Expression to split multiple words or phrases

    I'm using the code below to take a string and split it up into an array. It will take: Disney Land and make it two separate elements. If the string contains "Disney Land" then it is one element in the array. Works great, however it adds some empty elements to the array each time. So I just iterate over the elements and remove them if they are empty. Is there a tweak to the code below that will prevent those empty elements from occurring?
