    Hey, This one has me stumped. Is it possible at all to change the background color of a UIButton in Cocoa for iphone. I've tried setting the background color but it only changes the corners. SetBackgroundColor seems to be the only method available for such things.     Hey guys, I have the following code in an action: @user = @current_user @user.votes[1430]='up' @user.update_attributes(params[:user]) Votes is a string type, there is no default value - I just want to set it for the first time when this action occurs. Unfortunately I get this error: NoMethodError You have a nil object when you didn't expect it! The error occurred while evaluating nil.votes any ideas what I'm doing wrong?

    Hey, I want to use a method of an object. Like $myObject->helloWorld(). However there are a couple of methods so I loop through an array of method names and call the method like this: my $methodName ="helloWorld"; $myObject->$methodNames; This works quite nice but some objects don't have all methods. How can I tell wether $myObject has a method called helloWorld or not?

    Hey guys, i've got 2 GeoPoints given to show them on the map with markers... so far so good... how can I get the optimum zoom level for the MapController in order to focus the middle of both points, but also have them on the map.   • SQL to have one specific record at the top, all others below

    Hey all, I am trying to put together a query that will display one specific record (found by the record's primary ID) at the top, and display all other records below it, sorted by date (I have "date_added" as one of the fields in the table, in addition to primary ID). I could do this with a UNION (first select would locate the record I want, and the other select would display all other records), but I'm wondering if is there perhaps a better way? I'm using Oracle, by the way.

    Hey all so i wehnt ahead and opened up my .gitconfig file and manually input the [core] editor = 'C:/Program Files/Notepad++/notepad++.exe' which would allow me to execute command: (im trying to setup my .gitignore list) "C:/Program Files/Notepad++/notepad++.exe" .gitignore im JUSt not interested in typing this out every time that i need to make a file SO ive heard something about editing PATH to allow me to replace the above with something like: npp .gitignore any help would be aprpeciated!

    Hey, Currently i try to create some of my database export work more automated and i decided to go with exporting data from MySql database to .doc file in php. So im doing some database work and store complete html to a $str variable and then write/make new file: $fp = fopen($file, 'w+'); fwrite($fp,$str); fclose($fp); The problem here is not creating .doc file, but when i download and view that .doc file it's not in UTF-8 it's in unicode.

    Hey, I want to know if there's a few folks out there with experience in using admob for iphone apps. I've just started using it and have a problem. When I close an in app ad the actual ad itself has moved up 40 pixels and is mostly hidden behind the navigation bar. In addition all of my own content is shifted up 40 pixels. The addmob documentation is very limited so not much help there sadly.

    Hey, How can i redirect a subdomain call to a folder? So when the site, sub.domain.com is requested I want to redirect it to show the content of domain.com/sub/ The server is configured to add every request to the domain, but i get a 404 page everytime i do a non-defined subdomain call (witch is trivial, because theres nothing defined) So the question is: How to solve this, with .htaccess?

I want to install numpy and scipy, so I downloaded the python2.6,numpy and scipy dmg files from their official site. However, I'm having problem import numpy: Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/site-packages/numpy/core/multiarray.so: no matching architecture in universal wrapper Can anyone shed some light to this problem?
