  • Why can't c# calculate exact values of mathematical functions

    Hey everyone, Why can't c# do any exact operations. Math.Pow(Math.Sqrt(2.0),2) == 2.0000000000000004 I know how doubles work, I know where the rounding error is from, I know that it's almost the correct value, and I know that you can't store infinite numbers in a finite double. But why isn't there a way that c# can calculate it exactly, while my calculator can do it.   • preg_match() find all values inside of table?

    hey guys, a curl function returns a string $widget that contains regular html - two divs where the first div holds a table with various values inside of <td>'s. i wonder what's the easiest and best way for me to extract only all the values inside of the <td>'s so i have blank values without the remaining html. any idea what the pattern for the preg_match should look like? thank you.

I have those partitions (in Windows) for example: Hard Disk 1 - Partition C, Partition D Hard Disk 2 - Partition E Is there any way in a program language to know if for example partition C and partition D are in one physical hard disk without WMI? I don't want to use WMI because it's slow - for this example, it took for me 0.5 seconds. I need it to be fast. Thank you.
