  • Nutch - how to crawl by small patches?

    - by Yurish
Hi everyone! I am stuck! Can`t get Nutch to crawl for me by small patches. I start it by bin/nutch crawl command with parameters -depth 7 and -topN 10000. And it never ends. Ends only when my HDD is empty. What i need to do: Start to crawl my seeds with possibility to go further on outlinks. Crawl 20000 pages, then index them. Crawl another 20000 pages, index them and merge with first index. Loop step 3 n times. Tried also with scripts found in wiki, but all scripts i found don't go further. If i run them again, they do everything from beginning. And in the end of script i have the same index i had, when started to crawl. But, i need to continue my crawl. Some help would be very usefull!

  • Facebook canvas app ASP.NET MVC HttpException: Invalid Model

    - by zznq
I am working on a Facebook tab application. I am using asp.net MVC 2 with the "official" Microsoft Facebook SDK. Most of my views are working just fine. However, I have one that is causing a huge mess. I am simply returning a List<Tags> to the view and as my ViewModel. This problematic view is simply displaying the list in a foreach loop. Whenever navigate to this view I get a "System.Web.HttpException: Invalid Model" exception. The most puzzling part of all this is that the same code is running without fail on our regular(non-Facebook) app that works just fine with the same code. Any insight into why Facebook and asp.net MVC 2 would be causing this behavior would be much appreciated.

  • How to rotate 4 images, fading between each one?

    - by Darryl Hein
I have 4 images, which I want to fade between each other in a loop. I have something like the following: <img src="/images/image-1.jpg" id="featureImg1" /> <img src="/images/image-2.jpg" id="featureImg2" style="display:none;" /> <img src="/images/image-3.jpg" id="featureImg3" style="display:none;" /> <img src="/images/image-4.jpg" id="featureImg4" style="display:none;" /> I am up for revisions to the HTML, although I cannot use absolute positioning in this case. I am using jQuery else where on the site, so it's available. I also need to deal with an image not being loaded right away as the images are larger.

  • Extracting data from multiple servers SQL 2005 SSIS

    - by Raj
I have created an SSIS package to connect to multiple SQL servers, create a database, a table and a stored procedure. The package also creates a job and schedules it to run every 5 minutes. The requirement is to collect performance metrics. I am using an ado object variable to get the server names and all the above tasks are in a for each loop and everything works fine. Now the problem: I need to create a data flow task, which will connect to each of these servers in turn, copy the performance metrics data over to a central server and purge the source table. I am unable to get this task to work. This task fails with "Unable to obtain Connection" error. Any help will be greatly appreciated. SQL Server Version : 2005 Thanks, Raj

  • Calling Status Bar notification from method from other class.

    - by Jez Fischer
Firstly, I am new to both android and Java. I have two classes, my main.class and Note.class. I am calling the notification method from my Note.class in my main.class when i press a button. The issue is with this line from the Note.class : PendingIntent contentIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0); notification.setLatestEventInfo(context, contentTitle, contentText, contentIntent); When the method is called it force closes. I believe the problem to be with the "this" in PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0);, but I am unsure what to change it to. The notification code works fine if it's in the main class. I would be very grateful for any guidance. Edit: Main class : http://pastebin.com/05Yx0a48 Note.class : package com.adamblanchard.remindme.com.adamblanchard; import com.adamblanchard.remindme.R; import android.app.Activity; import android.app.Notification; import android.app.NotificationManager; import android.app.PendingIntent; import android.content.Context; import android.content.Intent; import android.os.Bundle; public class Note extends Activity { public CharSequence note = "not changed"; int HELLO_ID = 1; /** Called when the activity is first created. */ @Override public void onCreate(Bundle savedInstanceState) { super.onCreate(savedInstanceState); setContentView(R.layout.main); setTitle("Remind Me!"); } //Notification Method public void callNotification() { // TODO Auto-generated method stub String ns = Context.NOTIFICATION_SERVICE; final NotificationManager mNotificationManager = (NotificationManager) getSystemService(ns); int icon = R.drawable.launcher; CharSequence tickerText = "Remind Me!"; long when = System.currentTimeMillis(); final Notification notification = new Notification(icon, tickerText, when); notification.flags |= Notification.FLAG_AUTO_CANCEL; final Context context = getApplicationContext(); CharSequence contentTitle = "Remind Me!"; CharSequence contentText = note; Intent notificationIntent = new Intent(context, AndroidNotifications.class); PendingIntent contentIntent = PendingIntent.getActivity(this, 0, notificationIntent, 0); notification.setLatestEventInfo(context, contentTitle, contentText, contentIntent); mNotificationManager.notify(HELLO_ID, notification); HELLO_ID++; } } Debug Output : Thread [<1 main] (Suspended (exception IllegalStateException)) Note(Activity).getSystemService(String) line: 3536 Note.callNotification() line: 37 remindme$1$1.onClick(DialogInterface, int) line: 72 AlertDialog(AlertController$ButtonHandler).handleMessage(Message) line: 159 AlertController$ButtonHandler(Handler).dispatchMessage(Message) line: 99 Looper.loop() line: 123 ActivityThread.main(String[]) line: 3647 Method.invokeNative(Object, Object[], Class, Class[], Class, int, boolean) line: not available [native method] Method.invoke(Object, Object...) line: 507 ZygoteInit$MethodAndArgsCaller.run() line: 839 ZygoteInit.main(String[]) line: 597 NativeStart.main(String[]) line: not available [native method] This is the debug output I get, plus a force close popup on the device. • How could the year 2010 be mistaken as a leap year? [closed]

    - by Templar
According to news reports such as this one, older Playstation 3 game consoles incorrectly considered the year 2010 to be a leap year. The problem persisted through most of the Monday, March 1, which older PlayStations thought was Feb. 29, 2010, a date that doesn't exist. The standard leap year formula states that a leap year is any year that is divisible by 4, but not by 100, except if divisible by 400. The year 2010 doesn't fit any of those criteria. Any idea what programming error would have caused this?

  • D-Day Calendar has wrong dates when importing from google calendar?

    - by chobo2
Hi I am using D-Day calendar and I am not sure but I got a weird problem. I basically have this for my code iCalendar iCal = iCalendar.LoadFromStream(file.InputStream); foreach (Event evt in iCal.Events) { DateTime start = evt.DTStart.Date; DateTime end = evt.DTEnd.Date; // loop through it and get values. } Yet when I import a calendar from google calendar the end date is messed up on some of the stuff I am importing. Like for instance I have this Title: should not show When: Sun, March 21(all day). Yet when I import it in. I says the start date is the 21st yet the end date is the 22nd when it should be the 21st. Not sure what is going on. I am not really sure what other info I can give you guys.

  • Wordpress, PHP, URL Encoding Issue

    - by Scott Porad
Wordpress provides a function called "the_permalink()" that returns, you guessed it!, the permalink to a given post while in a loop of posts. I am trying to URL encode that permalink and when I execute this code: <?php print(the_permalink()); $permalink = the_permalink(); print($permalink); print(urlencode(the_permalink())); print(urlencode($permalink)); $url = 'http://wpmu.local/graphjam/2008/11/06/test4/'; print($url); print(urlencode($url)); ?> it produces these results in HTML: http://wpmu.local/graphjam/2008/11/06/test4/ http://wpmu.local/graphjam/2008/11/06/test4/ http://wpmu.local/graphjam/2008/11/06/test4/ http://wpmu.local/graphjam/2008/11/06/test4/ http%3A%2F%2Fwpmu.local%2Fgraphjam%2F2008%2F11%2F06%2Ftest4%2F I would expect lines 2, 3 and 5 of the output to be URL encoded, but only line 5 is so. Thoughts?

  • How to launch the market intent in 'Give Feedback' mode on android.

    - by Paul Maidment
Hi There, I have just written a game for the Android market and would like to remind my customers to leave feeback on the market for the application (especially the demo version.) Is there any way to launch the market intent in a mode that will take the user to the feedback / comments section of the page? I already use this approach for linking my demo to the paid app... Intent goToMarket = null; goToMarket = new Intent(Intent.ACTION_VIEW,Uri.parse("market://details?id=com.paulmaidment.games.flagsoftheworld")); startActivity(goToMarket); Is there a best practice that any Android devs out there might know of? Additionally, is there any way to track referalls from my demo app so that I can try to calculate some kind of a conversion rate? (i.e. how effective the demo app is at generating sales.) Thanks, Paul

  • Looping through worksheets in an Excel (xls) file using classic ASP on a win 2008 server

    - by Roy
Hi, I have just migrated an older ASP solution to a windows 2008 server and everything works out fine except for using ADOX.Catalog to list all the worksheets in an uploaded xls file. I use the following code: <% Set objExcelCon = Server.CreateObject("ADODB.Connection") With objExcelCon .Provider = "Microsoft.ACE.OLEDB.12.0" .ConnectionString = "Data Source=" & strFilePath & "\" & strFileName & ";Extended Properties=Excel 12.0;" .Open End With Set objAdo = Server.CreateObject("ADOX.Catalog") ' Set ADOX activeConnection objAdo.activeConnection = objExcelCon ' Loop through tables (worksheets) For i = 0 To objAdo.Tables.Count - 1 response.Write objAdo.Tables(i).Name Next Set objExcelCon = Nothing Set objAdo = Nothing % When I run this i get no error message or anything. Anyone got any idea whats causing this? Best regards, Roy

  • Help with split

    - by Andeeh
I have something that splits each line of a file. here is a sample of a line it might split "James","Project5","15/05/2010","3" I have this code Private Sub Command1_Click() Open jobs For Input As #1 Do While Not EOF(1) Line Input #1, tmpstring splititems = Split(tmpstring, ",") Form1.Print splititems(0) Form1.Print splititems(1); Form1.Print splititems(2); Form1.Print splititems(3) Loop Close #1 End Sub I would like it to instead of outputting a name each time there is a name, just put the project under the name that is already there. e.g. if there was another line in the file with the name james and he had been working on project 2 in that line I would like it to just put project 2 under the "James" that had already been put on the form. Any help would be fantastic

  • F# pattern matching

    - by Roger Alsing
What would be the most effective way to express the following code? match cond.EvalBool() with | true -> match body.Eval() with | :? ControlFlowModifier as e -> match e with | Break(scope) -> e :> obj //Break is a DU element of ControlFlowModifier | _ -> next() //other members of CFM should call next() | _ -> next() | false -> null cond.EvalBool returns a boolean result where false should return null and true should either run the entire block again (its wrapped in a func called next) or if the special value of break is found, then the loop should exit and return the break value. Is there any way to compress that block of code to something smaller?

  • Matching n parentheses in perl regex

    - by coding_hero
Hi, I've got some data that I'm parsing in Perl, and will be adding more and more differently formatted data in the near future. What I would like to do is write an easy-to-use function, that I could pass a string and a regex to, and it would return anything in parentheses. It would work something like this (pseudocode): sub parse { $data = shift; $regex = shift; $data =~ eval ("m/$regex/") foreach $x ($1...$n) { push (@ra, $x); } return \@ra; } Then, I could call it like this: @subs = parse ($data, '^"([0-9]+)",([^:]*):(\W+):([A-Z]{3}[0-9]{5}),ID=([0-9]+)'); As you can see, there's a couple of issues with this code. I don't know if the eval would work, the 'foreach' definitely wouldn't work, and without knowing how many parentheses there are, I don't know how many times to loop. This is too complicated for split, so if there's another function or possibility that I'm overlooking, let me know. Thanks for your help!

  • Getting a specific number of JSON items with jQuery from tumblr feed

    - by Kevin Whitaker
Hello all. I'm trying to populate a page with X entries from my tumblr feed, and I'm wondering how I can only pull that X number from the JSON object it returns. Here's my code, pulled from another Stack Overflow post and modified: //Tumblr retrieval $.getJSON("http://tumblr-address/api/read/json?callback=?", function(data) { $.each(data.posts, function(i,posts){ var title = this["regular-title"]; var type = this.type; var date = this.date; var url = this["url-with-slug"]; $('#sideRail ol').prepend('<li><p><a href=' +url +'>' + title + '</a></p><p>' + date + '</p></li>'); }); }); I've tried using a while loop with a counter, but it just repeats everything X times before moving on to the next item in the list. Thanks for any help.

  • Porting from GAE to TomCat or another servlet server

    - by bach
Hi guys, I'm unhappy from GAE because - One can't have a global variable and the 'synchronize' keyword. Instead one have to catch a basically DB transcational exception and retry in a while loop - which will eat all my free CPU time and will start costing me money as I reach the google's qouata. Is it safe to use synchronize inside a doPost() in tomcat? (i guess that it's ok as long as all the servlets are running on on 1 VM?). If not in all tomcat configurations, how do I configure tomcat to make it safe? How can I convert a GAE app to my own tomcat server? - How to install DataNucleus Access Platform on tomcat? Best regards

  • Workflow foundation 4.0 message correlation and error reporting

    - by Lygpt
I have a workflow service that runs and performs a number of different operations (such as web service calls). If one of these operations fails I call an error reporting web service to notify a seperate system that one of my workflow operations has failed. As the error could be something like the web service being down, I loop and retry this operation until it works. There can be times though when the data I'm passing to this web service is faulty and it needs changing. So I need to be able to hook into this running (but delayed) workflow and change local workflow variables and then re-run the operation. I've looked at message correlation in workflow 4.0 to achieve this but because the delay activity is active in my running workflow instance, any second service call doesn't do anything (it's like the delay activity is blocking any other requests). I've tried setting 'CanCreateInstance' to both true and false but it doesn't help. Thanks!

  • Basecamp API Rails

    - by dannymcc
Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone could do me massive favour.. I really don't understand how to make use of API's - so I was wondering if, using Basecamp as an example, someone could talk me though the basics. So far I have an application with a dashboard controller/view, I have put basecamp.rb into my /lib directory, added the following to my application_controller: def basecamp_connect Basecamp.establish_connection!('XXXXXX.basecamphq.com', 'USER', 'PASS', false) @basecamp = Basecamp.new end Obviously changing the required parts to my credentials. Next up I have added the following to my dashboard_controller: def index Basecamp::TodoList.find(:all) end Next I presume I have to somehow list the Todo's on the dashboard using some sort of loop. Am I doing the right thing, if so - how on earth do I display all the todo items and if not - what am I doing wrong/missing. It doesn't have to be todo's, anything from basecamp or any other popular API service would be a good start. It's just that I happen to have a basecamp account! Thanks, Danny

  • Jquery Fast image switching

    - by echedey lorenzo
Hi, I have a php class that generates a map image depending on my db data. It is periodically updated thru a serInterval loop. I am trying to update it with no flickering but I just can't. I've tried different methods (preloader, imageswitcher) with no success. //first load function map() { $("#map").html("<img src=map.php?randval="+Math.random()+">"); } //update it from setInterval calls function updatemap() { $("#map").fadeOut(function() { $(this).load(function() { $(this).fadeIn(); }); $(this).attr("src", "map.php?randval="+Math.random()); }) } Is there any way to update the image with no flickering at all? I would prefer an inmediate swap insteado of a fade. The problem I'm having is that after calling updatemap() the image just dissapears. ¿Maybe it is a problem with the attribute src I am parsing? THanks for your help.

  • Number of lines in csv.DictReader

    - by Alan Harris-Reid
Hi there, I have a csv DictReader object (using Python 3.1), but I would like to know the number of lines/rows contained in the reader before I iterate through it. Something like as follows... myreader = csv.DictReader(open('myFile.csv', newline='')) totalrows = ? rowcount = 0 for row in myreader: rowcount +=1 print("Row %d/%d" % (rowcount, totalrows)) I know I could get the total by iterating through the reader, but then I couldn't run the 'for' loop. I could iterate through a copy of the reader, but I cannot find how to copy an iterator. I could also use totalrows = len(open('myFile.csv').readlines()) but that seems an unnecessary re-opening of the file. I would rather get the count from the DictReader if possible. Any help would be appreciated. Alan

  • RockBand-like voice app for PC/OSX / Real time pitch display software

    - by Sai Emrys
I played Rock Band 2 for the first time a little while ago (at Notacon). One thing I enjoyed about it was getting real-time feedback about my singing. I think it'd be neat to have something like that to run alongside my usual music, so that I can sing to random stuff in my music collection and know when I'm hitting the notes. Is there something like this for PC - ideally for OSX, and ideally that can just operate on arbitrary songs? I don't really care if it's game-like (though that's neat too); I just want it for the singing feedback. And I have no need for pitch correction - ideally what I'd see is just the pitches of the notes in the music and (on the same scale, differently displayed) of the live microphone. I tried to STFW but got no salient hits. :-/ Thanks!

I am unsure how to get the code I have into the cycle "loop" for the gallery? Does this make sense? here is what I have, (well, part of it I mean) :) thanks! $('#slideshow').before('<div class="navigation">').cycle({ fx: 'fade', timeout: 6000, pager: '.navigation' }); $('.image_title').html($(this).find('img').attr('alt'));

  • YouTube API Get all videos uploaded feed

    - by Paul
Hi Guys, I can't seem to retrieve ALL videos from a particular channel on YouTube, despite the API giving example code that should perform just that. I'm using Java. http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/GoogleDevelopers/uploads The above rss feed is the URL they suggest using along with the following sample code.. /*init the list*/ String feedUrl = "http://gdata.youtube.com/feeds/api/users/GoogleDevelopers/uploads"; VideoFeed videoFeeder = null; videoFeeder = serviceobject.getFeed(new URL(feedUrl), VideoFeed.class); Looping this with a for loop suggests 25 entries (as per the RSS). However - the actual number of videos uploaded is significantly larger. (662 at time of writing). My query is how on earth you retrieve everything with the API, not just a subset of the data. Any ideas on where I'm going wrong? Should I be using a different URL? http://www.youtube.com/GoogleDevelopers#g/a

  • Faster projected-norm (quadratic-form, metric-matrix...) style computations

    - by thekindamzkyoulike
    I need to perform lots of evaluations of the form X(:,i)' * A * X(:,i) i = 1...n where X(:,i) is a vector and A is a symmetric matrix. Ostensibly, I can either do this in a loop for i=1:n z(i) = X(:,i)' * A * X(:,i) end which is slow, or vectorise it as z = diag(X' * A * X) which wastes RAM unacceptably when X has a lot of columns. Currently I am compromising on Y = A * X for i=1:n z(i) = Y(:,i)' * X(:,i) end which is a little faster/lighter but still seems unsatisfactory. I was hoping there might be some matlab/scilab idiom or trick to achieve this result more efficiently?

  • Access DotNetPanel/WebsitePanel Enterprise Server from outside the loopback address

    - by Ryan French
Hi Peoples, I am currently investigating integration of DotNetPanel/WebsitePanel with a website that is running ColdFusion. The issue I have come across is that it seems WebsitePanel only allows access to the Enterprise Server (where the web services are that I need access to) when the request is coming from the same physical machine (i.e. on the loop-back address 127.0.0.1). This unfortunately doesnt really work out too well with our current setup as we have our ColdFusion server running on one machine and WebsitePanel running on another. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we can change this? Currently we are investigating writing a transparent proxy server that will sit on the portal machine and pass requests between the two sites, but that is less than ideal.
