  • Zend framework controller action helper

    - by guptanikhilchandra
    I am getting fatal error after adding the action helper class. I am trying to load layout corresponding to called layout. Following is my code snippet: First of all i added a helper class under application/controller/helpers: class Zend_Controller_Action_Helper_Layout extends Zend_Controller_Action_Helper_Abstract { public $pluginLoader; public function __construct() { // TODO Auto-generated Constructor $this->pluginLoader = new Zend_Loader_PluginLoader (); } public function preDispatch() { $bootstrap = $this->getActionController()->getInvokeArg('bootstrap'); $config = $bootstrap->getOptions(); $module = $this->getRequest()->getModuleName(); if (isset($config[$module]['resources']['layout']['layout'])) { $layoutScript = $config[$module]['resources']['layout']['layout']; $this->getActionController()->getHelper('layout')->setLayout($layoutScript); } } } Then i added a loader in bootstrap.php: protected function _initLayoutHelper() { $this->bootstrap('frontController'); Zend_Controller_Action_HelperBroker::addPath(APPLICATION_PATH .'/controllers/helpers'); $layout = Zend_Controller_Action_HelperBroker::addHelper(new Zend_Controller_Action_Helper_Layout()); } Following is my application.ini: [production] autoloaderNamespaces.tree = "Tree_" phpSettings.display_startup_errors = 0 phpSettings.display_errors = 0 includePaths.library = APPLICATION_PATH "/../library" bootstrap.path = APPLICATION_PATH "/Bootstrap.php" bootstrap.class = "Bootstrap" resources.frontController.controllerDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/controllers" resources.frontController.moduleDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/modules" resources.frontController.helperDirectory = APPLICATION_PATH "/controllers/helpers" resources.modules[] = "" contact.resources.frontController.defaultControllerName = "index" resources.layout.layoutPath = APPLICATION_PATH "/layouts/scripts" resources.layout.layout = layout admin.resources.layout.layout = admin admin.resources.layout.layoutPath = APPLICATION_PATH "/layouts/scripts" resources.view[] = [staging : production] [testing : production] phpSettings.display_startup_errors = 1 phpSettings.display_errors = 1 [development : production] phpSettings.display_startup_errors = 1 phpSettings.display_errors = 1 While running this code i am getting following errors: Warning: include(Zend\Controller\Action\Helper\LayoutLoader.php) [function.include]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in D:\personal\proj\renovate\library\Zend\Loader.php on line 83 Warning: include() [function.include]: Failed opening 'Zend\Controller\Action\Helper\LayoutLoader.php' for inclusion (include_path='D:\personal\proj\renovate\application/../library;D:\personal\proj\renovate\library;.;C:\php5\pear') in D:\personal\proj\renovate\library\Zend\Loader.php on line 83 Fatal error: Class 'Zend_Controller_Action_Helper_LayoutLoader' not found in D:\personal\proj\renovate\application\Bootstrap.php on line 33 Kindly let me know, how can i come out from this issue. I am beginner in Zend Framework. Thanks Nikhil

  • How-to display a .gif as background image?

    - by Vito De Tullio
Hi! I have a javascript "loading" function like this: function splashScreen() { var div = document.createElement('div'); div.appendChild(document.createTextNode("some text")); div.setAttribute("style", "position: fixed; " + "width: 100%; height: 100%; " + "left: 0; top: 0; " + "z-index: 1000; " + "background: #fff url('img/loading.gif') no-repeat center; " + "font-size: x-large; " + "text-align: center; " + "line-height: 3em; " + "opacity: 0.75; " + "filter: alpha(opacity=75); "); document.getElementsByTagName('body')[0].appendChild(div); return true; } I use this function in the form action (onsubmit="return splashScreen()") to show a "rotating logo" while the next page load... The problem is in that "img/loading.gif" and safari (on winXP): in ff and ie I have no problems, and I clearly see the animated gif. In safari I can't see it. If I change the image with a (obviously static) png the image appears... Am I doing something wrong? What's the problem with safari?

  • _dl_runtime_resolve -- When do the shared objects get loaded in to memory?

    - by windfinder
We have a message processing system with high performance demands. Recently we have noticed that the first message takes many times longer then subsequent messages. A bunch of transformation and message augmentation happens as this goes through our system, much of it done by way of external lib. I just profiled this issue (using callgrind), comparing a "run" of just one message with a "run" of many messages (providing a baseline of comparison). The main difference I see is the function "do_lookup_x" taking up a huge amount of time. Looking at the various calls to this function, they all seem to be called by the common function: _dl_runtime_resolve. Not sure what this function does, but to me this looks like the first time the various shared libraries are being used, and are then being loaded in to memory by the ld. Is this a correct assumption? That the binary will not load the shared libraries in to memory until they are being prepped for use, therefore we will see a massive slowdown on the first message, but on none of the subsequent? How do we go about avoiding this? Note: We operate on the microsecond scale.

  • closing an unordered list

    - by snorpey
On a website, I want to display the main navigation as an unordered list. After 3 items I want to close that list and open a new one, so it eventually looks something like this: <div id="navigation"> <ul> <li>1</li> <li>2</li> <li>3</li> </ul> <ul> <li>4</li> <li>5</li> <li>6</li> </ul> </div> The navigation is dynmically generated using jQuery + Ajax. This is what the code I'm using looks like: $.getJSON("load.php", { some: value }, function(data) { $.each(data.items, function(i, item) { $('#navigation').find('ul').append('<li>' + i + '</li>'); if(i % 3 == 0) { $('#navigation').find('ul').append('</ul><ul>'); } }); }); Unfortunately, the browser doesn't interpret this right and treats the closing ul tag as a nested object of the first ul. How do I fix this?

  • Problem with my Jquery loading in my Codeigniter views

    - by sico87
Hello, I am working on a one page website that allows the users to add and remove pages from there navigation as and when they would like too, the way it works is that if the click 'Blog' on the main nav a 'Blog' section should appear on the page, if they then click 'News' the 'News' section should also be visible, however the way I have started to implement this it seems I can only have one section at a time, can my code be adpated to allow multiple sections to shown on the main page. Here is my code for the page that has the main menu and the users selections on it. <!DOCTYPE html> <head> <title>Development Site</title> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/media/css/reset.css" media="screen"/> <link rel="stylesheet" href="/media/css/generic.css" media="screen"/> <script type="text/javascript" src="/media/javascript/jquery-ui/js/jquery.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/media/javascript/jquery-ui/development-bundle/ui/ui.core.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="/media/javascript/jquery-ui/development-bundle/ui/ui.accordion.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript"> $(document).ready(function() { $('a.menuitem').click(function() { var link = $(this), url = link.attr("href"); $("#content_pane").load(url); return false; // prevent default link-behavior }); }); </script> </head> <body> <li><a class="menuitem" href="inspiration">Inspiration</a></li> <li><a class="menuitem" href="blog">Blog</a></li> <div id="content_pane"> </div> </body> </html>

  • JBoss Client-Cert Authentication: Hot to setup UsersRolesLoginModule in login-config.xml

    - by sixtyfootersdude
I am looking that chapter 8 of the RedHat, JBoss documentation. I am trying to setup Certificate Authentication as described on this page . On the page it says that the login-config file should have this in it: <application-policy name="jmx-console"> <authentication> <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.BaseCertLoginModule" flag="required"> <module-option name="password-stacking">useFirstPass</module-option> <module-option name="securityDomain">java:/jaas/jmx-console</module-option> </login-module> <login-module code="org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule" flag="required"> <module-option name="password-stacking">useFirstPass</module-option> <module-option name="usersProperties">jmx-console-users.properties</module-option> <module-option name="rolesProperties">jmx-console-roles.properties</module-option> </login-module> </authentication> </application-policy> I think that the BaseCertLoginModule chekcs the clients server and the UsersRolesloginModule assigns the client to role (using the file jmx-console-roles.properties). However I am completely bewildered as to what should be in this file: jmx-console-users.properties. Normally that file stores user/password pairs (source) but when using client-cert I don't think that there should be passwords in there. Right now I am leaving that file empty but I am getting this exception: [org.jboss.security.auth.spi.UsersRolesLoginModule.initialize:135] Failed to load users/passwords/role files java.io.IOException: No properties file: users.properties or defaults: defaultUsers.properties found ... What should be in that file? Thanks.

  • ClassLoader exceptions being memoized

    - by Jim
Hello, I am writing a classloader for a long-running server instance. If a user has not yet uploaded a class definition, I through a ClassNotFoundException; seems reasonable. The problem is this: There are three classes (C1, C2, and C3). C1 depends on C2, C2 depends on C3. C1 and C2 are resolvable, C3 isn't (yet). C1 is loaded. C1 subsequently performs an action that requires C2, so C2 is loaded. C2 subsequently performs an action that requires C3, so the classloader attempts to load C3, but can't resolve it, and an exception is thrown. Now C3 is added to the classpath, and the process is restarted (starting from the originally-loaded C1). The issue is, C2 seems to remember that C3 couldn't be loaded, and doesn't bother asking the classloader to find the class... it just re-throws the memoized exception. Clearly I can't reload C1 or C2 because other classes may have linked to them (as C1 has already linked to C2). I tried throwing different types of errors, hoping the class might not memoize them. Unfortunately, no such luck. Is there a way to prevent the loaded class from binding to the exception? That is, I want the classloader to be allowed to keep trying if it didn't succeed the first time. Thanks!

  • Looking for a fast, compact, streamable, multi-language, strongly typed serialization format

    - by sanity
I'm currently using JSON (compressed via gzip) in my Java project, in which I need to store a large number of objects (hundreds of millions) on disk. I have one JSON object per line, and disallow linebreaks within the JSON object. This way I can stream the data off disk line-by-line without having to read the entire file at once. It turns out that parsing the JSON code (using http://www.json.org/java/) is a bigger overhead than either pulling the raw data off disk, or decompressing it (which I do on the fly). Ideally what I'd like is a strongly-typed serialization format, where I can specify "this object field is a list of strings" (for example), and because the system knows what to expect, it can deserialize it quickly. I can also specify the format just by giving someone else its "type". It would also need to be cross-platform. I use Java, but work with people using PHP, Python, and other languages. So, to recap, it should be: Strongly typed Streamable (ie. read a file bit by bit without having to load it all into RAM at once) Cross platform (including Java and PHP) Fast Free (as in speech) Any pointers?

  • How to remove Modules from a Intellij Maven Project permanently?

    - by herpnderpn
I am currently working on a larger scale Maven-based project in IntelliJIdea 12.1.6 Ultimate. I have been working with IntelliJIdea since about 5 months. An included module has dependencies on another module. The dependent module's source was also part of my project until recently. Since I removed the dependent module from my project, I get compile errors whenever I am trying to compile the source without maven. The pom.xml of removed modules in Intellij seem to be placed onto the Settings-Maven-Ignored Files. I cant seem to remove it from there, only check or uncheck it. It's not possible to include the module again since IntelliJ will say its still under Ignored Files. 2 ways allow me to compile again: Uncheck the pom from Ignored files, which will include the module again in my project. Or delete the source of the dependent project, so my project will load the dependent module from the maven repository. But whenever I update my project from svn, the source of the dependent module is restored (I don't know why this even happens since its not part my project) and the cycle begins anew. I googled this for a while since it gets really annoying. It became a problem with several excluded modules. I could rebuild the intellij-project but since a lot of IntelliJ settings were made (not related to the problem) I would rather solve this. Any help is appreciated, I guess I must be missing something

  • How to create a chart from mysql data?

    - by user187580
    Hello, I have some data and want to create some dynamic charts. I have looked on Google visualisation api .. It looks great but the problem is I am not very familiar with it. Any ideas, how I can set the data.setValue from mysql data. <script type='text/javascript'> google.load('visualization', '1', {'packages': ['geomap']}); google.setOnLoadCallback(drawMap); function drawMap() { var data = new google.visualization.DataTable(); data.addRows(6); data.addColumn('string', 'Country'); data.addColumn('number', 'Popularity'); data.setValue(0, 0, 'Germany'); data.setValue(0, 1, 200); data.setValue(1, 0, 'United States'); data.setValue(1, 1, 300); data.setValue(2, 0, 'Brazil'); data.setValue(2, 1, 400); data.setValue(3, 0, 'Canada'); data.setValue(3, 1, 500); data.setValue(4, 0, 'France'); data.setValue(4, 1, 600); data.setValue(5, 0, 'RU'); data.setValue(5, 1, 700); var options = {}; options['dataMode'] = 'regions'; var container = document.getElementById('map_canvas'); var geomap = new google.visualization.GeoMap(container); geomap.draw(data, options); }; </script> I can create chart using some other methods but just interested in using Google Visualisation API. Thanks.

  • Unity Configuration and Same Assembly

    - by tyndall
I'm currently getting an error trying to resolve my IDataAccess class. The value of the property 'type' cannot be parsed. The error is: Could not load file or assembly 'TestProject' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified. (C:\Source\TestIoC\src\TestIoC\TestProject\bin\Debug\TestProject.vshost.exe.config line 14) This is inside a WPF Application project. What is the correct syntax to refer to the Assembly you are currently in? is there a way to do this? I know in a larger solution I would be pulling Types from seperate assemblies so this might not be an issue. But what is the right way to do this for a small self-contained test project. Note: I'm only interested in doing the XML config at this time, not the C# (in code) config. UPDATE: see all comments My XML config: <configuration> <configSections> <section name="unity" type="Microsoft.Practices.Unity.Configuration.UnityConfigurationSection, Microsoft.Practices.Unity.Configuration" /> </configSections> <unity> <typeAliases> <!-- Lifetime manager types --> <typeAlias alias="singleton" type="Microsoft.Practices.Unity.ContainerControlledLifetimeManager, Microsoft.Practices.Unity" /> <typeAlias alias="external" type="Microsoft.Practices.Unity.ExternallyControlledLifetimeManager, Microsoft.Practices.Unity" /> <typeAlias alias="IDataAccess" type="TestProject.IDataAccess, TestProject" /> <typeAlias alias="DataAccess" type="TestProject.DataAccess, TestProject" /> </typeAliases> <containers> <container name="Services"> <types> <type type="IDataAccess" mapTo="DataAccess" /> </types> </container> </containers> </unity> </configuration>

  • Does Android AsyncTaskQueue or similar exist?

    - by Ben L.
I read somewhere (and have observed) that starting threads is slow. I always assumed that AsyncTask created and reused a single thread because it required being started inside the UI thread. The following (anonymized) code is called from a ListAdapter's getView method to load images asynchronously. It works well until the user moves the list quickly, and then it becomes "janky". final File imageFile = new File(getCacheDir().getPath() + "/img/" + p.image); image.setVisibility(View.GONE); view.findViewById(R.id.imageLoading).setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); (new AsyncTask<Void, Void, Bitmap>() { @Override protected Bitmap doInBackground(Void... params) { try { Bitmap image; if (!imageFile.exists() || imageFile.length() == 0) { image = BitmapFactory.decodeStream(new URL( "http://example.com/images/" + p.image).openStream()); image.compress(Bitmap.CompressFormat.JPEG, 85, new FileOutputStream(imageFile)); image.recycle(); } image = BitmapFactory.decodeFile(imageFile.getPath(), bitmapOptions); return image; } catch (MalformedURLException ex) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block ex.printStackTrace(); return null; } catch (IOException ex) { // TODO Auto-generated catch block ex.printStackTrace(); return null; } } @Override protected void onPostExecute(Bitmap image) { if (view.getTag() != p) // The view was recycled. return; view.findViewById(R.id.imageLoading).setVisibility( View.GONE); view.findViewById(R.id.image) .setVisibility(View.VISIBLE); ((ImageView) view.findViewById(R.id.image)) .setImageBitmap(image); } }).execute(); I'm thinking that a queue-based method would work better, but I'm wondering if there is one or if I should attempt to create my own implementation.

  • Adding Mysql Columns in Rails Rake

    - by Gigg
I have a rake file that does a series of calculations on a database. Basically it adds usage on equipment regularly. At the end of the day it needs to add that days total to a monthly total table and update that same table. i use the following simple concepts: To get data from the database is pretty simple: @usages = Usage.find(:all) time = Time.new for usage in @usages sql = ActiveRecord::Base.connection To insert it into the database: sql.execute "INSERT (or UPDATE) into usages ## add values and options as per MySQL But how do I: take a column from a database, add all of its values together that have a common value in another column, (i.e. if column x == value y) and then insert it into another column in another table, say dailyusages? I have tried these options: task (:monthly => :environment) do @dailyusages = Dailyusage.find(:all) for dailyusage in @dailyusages sql = ActiveRecord::Base.connection time = Time.new device = monthlyusages.device month = time.month if device == dailyusages.device ##&& month == dailyusages.month total = (dailyusage.total.sum.to_i) @monthlyusages = Monthlyusage.find(:all) for monthlyusage in @monthlyusages sql = ActiveRecord::Base.connection old_total = monthlyusage.total.to_i new_total = (old_total + total) sql.execute "UPDATE monthlyusages ( year, month, total, device ) values('#{time.year}', '#{time.month}', '#{total}', '#{dailyusage.device}' )" end I obviously have uncommented options and tried all sorts of things. Any help would really save me a load of trouble. Thanks in advance. (** BTW - I am new to rails, so go easy on me **)

  • Is it OK to use WPF assemblies in a web app?

    - by Chris
I have an ASP.NET MVC 2 app targeting .NET 4 that needs to be able to resize images on the fly and write them to the response. I have code that does this and it works. I am using System.Drawing.dll. However, I want to enhance my code so that not only am I resizing the image, but I am dropping it from 24bpp down to 4bit grayscale. I could not, for the life of me, find code on how to do this with System.Drawing.dll. But I did find a bunch of WPF stuff. This is my working/sample code (runs in LinqPad). // Load the original 24 bit image var bitmapImage = new BitmapImage(); bitmapImage.BeginInit(); bitmapImage.UriSource = new Uri(@"C:\Temp\Resized\18_appa2_015.png", UriKind.Absolute); //bitmapImage.DecodePixelWidth = 600; bitmapImage.EndInit(); // Create the destination image var formatConvertedBitmap = new FormatConvertedBitmap(); formatConvertedBitmap.BeginInit(); formatConvertedBitmap.Source = bitmapImage; formatConvertedBitmap.DestinationFormat = PixelFormats.Gray4; formatConvertedBitmap.EndInit(); // Encode and dump the image to disk var encoder = new PngBitmapEncoder(); encoder.Frames.Add(BitmapFrame.Create(formatConvertedBitmap)); using (var fileStream = File.Create(@"C:\Temp\Resized\18_appa2_015_s2.png")) { encoder.Save(fileStream); } It uses System.Xaml.dll, WindowsBase.dll, PresentationCore.dll, and PresentationFramework.dll. The namespaces used are: System.Windows.Controls, System.Windows.Media, and System.Windows.Media.Imaging. Is there any problem using these namespaces in my web application? It doesn't seem right. If anyone knows how to drop the bit depth without all this WPF stuff (which I barely understand, BTW) I would be thrilled to see that too.

  • Object addSubview only works in viewDidLoad

    - by DecodingSand
Hi, I'm new to iPhone dev and need some help with adding subViews. I have a reusable object that I made that is stored in a separate .h .m and xib file. I would like to use this object in my main project's view controller. I have included the header and the assignment of the object generates no errors. I am able to load the object into my main project but can only do things with it inside my viewDidLoad method. I intend to have a few of these objects on my screen and am looking fora solution that is more robust then just hard wiring up multiple copies of the shape object. As soon as I try to access the object outside of the viewDidLoad it produces a variable unknown error - first use in this function. Here is my viewDidLoad method: shapeViewController *shapeView = [[shapeViewController alloc] initWithNibName:@"shapeViewController" bundle:nil]; [self.view addSubview: shapeView.view]; // This is the problem line // This code works changes the display on the shape object [shapeView updateDisplay:@"123456"]; ---- but the same code outside of the viewDidLoad generates the error. So to sum up, everything works except when I try to access the shapeView object in the rest of the methods. Thanks in advance

  • Starting with NHibernate

    - by George
I'm having major difficulties to start off with NHiberante. Main problems: Where my hbm.xml files should reside? I create a Mappings folder but I received an error "Could not find xxx.hbm.xml file." I tried to load the specific class through the dialect cf.AddClass(typeof(xxx)); but it still gives me the same error (the files are marked as embebed resources. Also I'm having major problems in connection to it. I stopped trying to use the cfg xml file and tried a more direct approach with a library I have here. Configuration cfg = new Configuration(); cfg.AddClass(typeof(Tag)); ISessionFactory sessions = cfg.BuildSessionFactory(); AgnosticConnectionHandler agch = new AgnosticConnectionHandler("xxx","xxx","geo_biblio","localhost", 5432,DatabaseInstance.PostgreSQL); ISession sessao = sessions.OpenSession(agch.GetConnection); ITransaction tx = sessao.BeginTransaction(); Tag tag1 = new Tag(); tag1.NomeTag = "Teste Tag NHibernate!!!"; sessao.Save(tag1); tx.Commit(); sessao.Close(); Any tips for me? I'm getting the exception in line 2 of this code, and still not sure what to do. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

  • ASP.NET catching controls from html generated from the database

    - by Drahcir
I have a set of websites that basically do the exact same thing in terms of functionality, the only thing that varies is the css and how the html is laid out. Is there a way to generate the html from a database (ie retreiving the html from a table) and then catching the controls (like buttons, textboxes etc) from the code behind? UPDATE: Here is an example of what I want to acheive: <html> <div id="generatedContent" runat="server"> <!-- the following content has been generated from the database on the page load event --> <div> This is a textbox <input id="tb1" runat="server" type="text" /> This is a button <input type="submit" id="btn1" runat="server" value="My Button" /> </div> </div> </html> This is the code behind var tb1 = new HtmlControls.HtmlInputText(); tb1 = FindControl("tb1"); var btn1 = new New HtmlControls.HtmlInputSubmit(); btn1 = FindControl("btn1"); Now obviously since the html has been generated from the database (ie after the page has already been initialised) the FindControl method will return null.

  • 'Bank Switching' Sprites on old NES applications

    - by Jeffrey Kern
I'm currently writing in C# what could basically be called my own interpretation of the NES hardware for an old-school looking game that I'm developing. I've fired up FCE and have been observing how the NES displayed and rendered graphics. In a nutshell, the NES could hold two bitmaps worth of graphical information, each with the dimensions of 128x128. These are called the PPU tables. One was for BG tiles and the other was for sprites. The data had to be in this memory for it to be drawn on-screen. Now, if a game had more graphical data then these two banks, it could write portions of this new information to these banks -overwriting what was there - at the end of each frame, and use it from the next frame onward. So, in old games how did the programmers 'bank switch'? I mean, within the level design, how did they know which graphic set to load? I've noticed that Mega Man 2 bankswitches when the screen programatically scrolls from one portion of the stage to the next. But how did they store this information in the level - what sprites to copy over into the PPU tables, and where to write them at? Another example would be hitting pause in MM2. BG tiles get over-written during pause, and then get restored when the player unpauses. How did they remember which tiles they replaced and how to restore them? If I was lazy, I could just make one huge static bitmap and just grab values that way. But I'm forcing myself to limit these values to create a more authentic experience. I've read the amazing guide on how M.C. Kids was made, and I'm trying to be barebones about how I program this game. It still just boggles my mind how these programmers accomplisehd what they did with what they had. EDIT: The only solution I can think of would be to hold separate tables that state what tiles should be in the PPU at what time, but I think that would be a huge memory resource that the NES wouldn't be able to handle.

  • Display pdf file inline in Rails app

    - by Martas
Hi, I have a pdf file attachment saved in the cloud. The file is attached using attachment_fu. All I do to display it in the view is: <%= image_tag @model.pdf_attachment.public_filename %> When I load the page with this code in the browser, it does what I want: it displays the attached pdf file. But only on Mac. On Windows, browsers will display a broken image placeholder. Chrome's Developer Tools report: "Resource interpreted as image but transferred with MIME type application/pdf." I also tried sending the file from controller: in PdfAttachmentController: def send_pdf_attachment pdf_attachment = PdfAttachment.find params[:id] send_file pdf_attachment.public_filename, :type => pdf_attachment.content_type, :file_name => pdf_attachment.filename, :disposition => 'inline' end in routes.rb: map.send_pdf_attachment '/pdf_attachments/send_pdf_attachment/:id', :controller => 'pdf_attachments', :action => 'send_pdf_attachment' and in the view: <%= send_pdf_attachment_path @model.pdf_attachment %> or <%= image_tag( send_pdf_attachment_path @model.pdf_attachment ) %> And that doesn't display the file on Mac (I didn't try on Windows), it displays the path: pdf_attachments/send_pdf_attachment/35 So, my question is: what do I do to properly display a pdf file inline? Thanks martin

  • jQuery AJAX request (Rails 3) gets redirected and returns empty message body!

    - by elsurudo
I'm trying to do a manual jQuery AJAX request the following way: $("#user_plan_id").change(function() { $("#plan_container").load('/plans/' + this.value); }); I have the "rails.js" file included in my header, and a "<%= csrf_meta_tag %". I see from my log that the request IS getting to the server (although without the authenticity token... does rails.js even do this?), but the response is a 302 (Found) rather than 200, and no data actually gets rendered. Any ideas? Edit: I now see that the first request redirects, and the proper partial gets rendered on the redirect. However, the 2nd response's body (on the client-side) is still empty. I'm guessing jQuery uses the first response and doesn't have a listener set up for the redirect. How do I get around this? Also, another note: the page doing the requesting is an HTTPS page. Here is what my log says: Started GET "/plans/221168073" for 127.0.0.1 at Tue Jun 15 01:24:06 -0400 2010 Processing by PlansController#show as HTML Parameters: {"id"=>"221168073"} DEPRECATION WARNING: Using #request_uri is deprecated. • iPhone: Leak with UIWebView loading Office documents. Any ideas how to avoid it?

While there are already quite a few posts about leaks around UIWebView, mine is a bit more special, I believe, and thus deserves its own post here. I see a reproducible large leak every time I load a Office document such as a Word or Excel file. For instance, every time I display a 180KB .doc file, I get a 100KB leak. And that happens with both the simulator and an actual device, running OS 3.1.3. The leak is not visible with the Leaks instrument but only by looking at the malloc instances via the ObjectAlloc instrument. Here's a picture from the instruments trace: I've also made a demo project, UIWebView-Leak.zip, so you can verify this yourself. To see the leak, use the ObjectAlloc instrument, switch to the view where you see individual allocation objects, and sort by size so that you see the large ones in a group, just like in my picture above. Then view a Office document a few times and find the Malloc objects that keep staying "Live" even after the actual UIWebView has been freed. Is this a known bug? Or is there any way I can avoid these leaks? I.e, have you successfully shown Office documents on an iPhone withing getting such leaks? Note: I've reported this as a bug to Apple now, too (ID 7950594) I am still waiting for someone (including Apple) to confirm this as a true leak or show why it isn't (i.e. that I do something wrong or make wrong assumptions)

  • How should backbone.js handle a GET request that returns no results?

    - by Nyxynyx
    I have a number of text input elements that when its values are changed, will trigger a fetch on listingListView's collection listingCollection, which then updates listingListView with the new data via the function listingListView.refreshList as shown below. I am using PHP/Codeigniter to expose a RESTful API. Problem: Everything works fine if there are results retrieved from the fetch(). However, when the filters results in no result being returned, how should the server side and the client side handle it? Currently Chrome's javascript console displays a 404 error and in the Network tab, the XHR request is highlighted in red. All I want to do in the event of zero results returned, is to blank the listingListView and show a message like (No results returned) and not throw any errors in the javascript console. Thanks! PHP Code function listings_get() { // Get filters $price_min = $this->get('price_min'); $this->load->model('app_model'); $results = $this->app_model->get_listings($price_min); if($results) $this->response($results); else $this->response(NULL); } JS Code window.ListingListView = Backbone.View.extend({ tagName: 'table', initialize: function() { this.model.bind('reset', this.refreshList, this); this.model.bind('add', function(listing) { $(this.el).append(new ListingListItemView({ model: listing }).render().el); }, this); }, render: function() { _.each(this.model.models, function(listing) { $(this.el).append(new ListingListItemView({ model: listing }).render().el); }, this); return this; }, close: function() { $(this.el).unbind(); $(this.el).empty(); }, refreshList: function() { $(this.el).empty(); this.render(); } });

  • Applet class loader cannot find one of the classes in the jar

    - by Chry Cheng
I get the ff. error in Java Console occassionally: Exception in thread "thread applet-my.package.MyApplet-10" java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError: another/package/SomeClass at my.package.MyApplet.init(MyApplet.java:95) at sun.plugin2.applet.Plugin2Manager$AppletExecutionRunnable.run(Unknown Source) at java.lang.Thread.run(Unknown Source) Caused by: java.lang.ClassNotFoundException: another.package.SomeClass at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.findClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClass(Unknown Source) at java.lang.ClassLoader.loadClassInternal(Unknown Source) ... 3 more Caused by: java.io.IOException: open HTTP connection failed:https://myserver/mycontext/applets/another/package/SomeClass.class at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.getBytes(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader.access$000(Unknown Source) at sun.plugin2.applet.Applet2ClassLoader$1.run(Unknown Source) at java.security.AccessController.doPrivileged(Native Method) ... 7 more My applet tag is as follows: <applet codebase="../../applets" code="my.package.MyApplet" class="invisible" id="myApplet"> <param value="value0" name="param0"/> ... <param value="valueN" name="paramN" /> <param value="folder/myApplet__0.0.1177.jar,folder/commons-io-1.3.2__0.0.1177.jar,..." name="cache_archive"/> <param value="0.0.1177.0,0.0.1177.0,...," name="cache_version"/> </applet> It is important I stress the word "occasionally". Sometimes the applet is initialized without a hitch. This also means that, often, when the browser is restarted, the problem goes away. I am aware of http://stackoverflow.com/questions/698890/applet-fails-to-load-class-from-jar and http://stackoverflow.com/questions/872905/applet-class-loader-cannot-find-a-class-in-the-applets-jar but I think they are not applicable to my case. SomeClass and MyApplet are in the same jar and the page is being accessed locally.

  • xsd.exe creating invalid constraints in dataset from xsd file

    - by Dan Neely
I have a sequence with an allowed minimum length of zero in my xsd. When I try and load an xml file which doesn't have any elements of the sequence into the DataSet that xsd.exe created I get an exception indicating that my file violated one of the DataSet's constraints. The xml file validates against the schema so I know it's valid. Is there anything I can do to make the tool generate a valid dataset? <xs:sequence minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element name="Numbers" type="xs:double"/> </xs:sequence> Edit: if I change my schema to this the generated code works properly. It looks wrong to me though since it appears to be implying that I could have sequence items with nothing in them, which doesn't make any sense. <xs:sequence minOccurs="0" maxOccurs="unbounded"> <xs:element name="Numbers" type="xs:double" minOccurs="0"/> </xs:sequence>

  • visusal studio embedded crystal report keeps prompting database login?

    - by phill
I'm using visual studio 2005 to develop a form with a combobox passing a value into the parameter of an embedded crystal report. I'm trying to figure out why it keeps prompting me for a database login every single time you try to run the report with a different combobox selection. Here is my code: private Sub Form1_load... Dim ConnName As String Dim ServerName As String Dim DBName As String Dim user As String Dim pass As String Dim gDBA As ADODB.Connection Dim records As ADODB.Recordset Dim datver As ADODB.Recordset Dim query As String '---OPEN THE DATABASE CONNECTIONS gDBA = New ADODB.Connection ': gDBA.CursorLocation = adUseServer 'Added to prevent time out error gDBA.CommandTimeout = 1000 : gDBA.ConnectionTimeout = 1000 gDBA.ConnectionString = "Server=svr13;Database=subscribers;User ID=KViews;Password=Solution;Trusted_Connection=True;" gDBA.Open("Data Source=Kaseya;Initial Catalog=subscribers;User Id=KViews;Password=Solution;", "KViews", "Solution") records = New ADODB.Recordset query = "select distinct groupname from _v_k order by groupname desc" 'records.ActiveConnection = gDBA.ConnectionString records.CursorType = CursorTypeEnum.adOpenForwardOnly records.LockType = LockTypeEnum.adLockReadOnly records.Open(query, gDBA) Do While Not records.EOF ComboBox1.Items.Add(records.Fields("groupname").Value) records.MoveNext() Loop end Sub Private Sub Button1_Click(ByVal sender As System.Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Button1.Click Dim selected As String selected = ComboBox1.Text Dim cryRpt As New ReportDocument cryRpt.Load("C:\Visual Studio 2005\Projects\WindowsApplication1\WindowsApplication1\CrystalReport1.rpt") cryRpt.SetDatabaseLogon("KViews", "Solutions", "svr13", "subscribers") cryRpt.SetParameterValue("companyname", selected) CrystalReportViewer1.ReportSource = cryRpt CrystalReportViewer1.Refresh() End Sub I looked at this previous posting http://stackoverflow.com/questions/1132314/database-login-prompt-with-crystal-reports but this wasn't very helpful. I couldn't find where a CMC was to disable the prompt. Any ideas? thanks in advance
