Hi, My company has a server with one big partition with Mysql database and php files. Now this partition seems to be corrupted, as reported from kernel messages when I tried to mount it manually: [329862.817837] EXT3-fs error (device loop1): ext3_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 1 not in group (block 0)! • Good .net4 profiler

    - by Martin
What is a good profiler for .NET 4.0? I'm willing to spend some money, but not too much (say up to £50) I'm developing games for windows phone and xbox using XNA, which means that the projects are commercial. I mention it because I've seen several which are free for non commercial use. Extra points for Visual studio integration. Nb. I'm using Visual Studio Professional 2010

  • Resgen al.exe generated resources do not work within .net library

    - by Raj G
Hi, I am currently working on a library in .Net and I planned to make the strings that are used within the library into culture specific resource files. I made Resources.resx, Resources.en-US.resx and Resources.ja-JP.resx file. I also deleted the Resources.designer.cs file autogenerated by visual studio 2008. I am loading Resources through my custom ResourceManager object [using GetString method]. The problem that I am facing is that when I compile the library within visual studio and set the culture from the calling application, everything is working fine. But if I manually go to the directory and change a string for a culture and regenerate the satellite assembly with resgen and al.exe, the string displayed, falls back to the invariant culture. I have attached the ildasm view of both the dlls en-US generated from within visual studio //Metadata version: v2.0.50727 .assembly extern mscorlib { .publickeytoken = (B7 7A 5C 56 19 34 E0 89 ) // .z\V.4.. .hash = (71 05 4D 54 C4 8D C2 90 7D 8B CF 57 2E B5 98 22 // q.MT....}..W..." • PHP MySQL Update query

    - by Jordan Pagaduan
I have a website that has an update query. Example. Table name - myTable Table Content - id(AI) name -- myName age -- 13 image -- (no values) birthdate -- (no values) I only put values in name and age. In image and birthdate, I haven't put anything. If I edit it and update it and I don't put anything in name and in age, I only put values in image and in birthdate. The output is like this. (This ouput I wanted) Table name - myTable Table Content - id(AI) name -- myName age -- 13 image -- myImage.jpg birthdate -- Feb. 31, 2010 This is my code: <?php //mysql connect... //mysql select database... $sql = "UPDATE myTable SET name = '".$name."', age = '".$age."', image = '".$image."', birthdate"'$birthdate.."' WHERE id = $id"; mysql_query($sql); ?> I used this code but the output is: Table name - myTable Table Content - id(AI) name -- (no values) age -- (no values) image -- myImage.jpg birthdate -- Feb. 31, 2010 Feel free to ask if you don't understand my question Thank you

    - by Aaron Levin
I am new to objective-c programming. I come from a C# background. I am having problems with the following code I am writing for a proof of concept for an iPhone App: I am getting a number of compile errors but I think they are all due to the first error (could be wrong) - error: expected identifier before '*' token (@synthesize *lists; in the .m file) I'm not sure why my code is showing up the way it is in the view below the editor..hmm any way, any help would be appreciated. .m file // // Created by Aaron Levin on 4/19/10. // Copyright 2010 RonStan. • Recommend a good db4o viewer

    - by mgroves
I'm playing around with db4o, and I have the Object Manager viewer thingy for Visual Studio. It seems okay, but not exactly on par with tools like HeidiSQL/SQL Studio/etc., not to mention that it locks the db4o file--I can't use my db4o app and Object Manager at the same time. Maybe I'm using it wrong, but regardless, I'd like to know what else is out there. What tools would you recommend for looking at and manipulating db4o files?

  • WF 4.0 can't get to resume workflow on the staging/production environment

    - by Yasmine Atta Hajjaj
I have developed various registeration workflows using WF4.0. Each work flow has various bookmarks. I am using the registeration wf for an asp.net application. I tested the asp.net application locally and it is working fine( Starting WF, Persisting to db and resuming bookmarks). When I try to test it on the staging server, everything goes messy. I can no longer resume wfs and I get an error message : System.Runtime.DurableInstancing.InstancePersistenceCommandException was unhandled by user code Message=The execution of the InstancePersistenceCommand named {urn:schemas-microsoft-com:System.Activities.Persistence/command}LoadWorkflow was interrupted by an error. • Navigating through a sea of hype

    - by wouldLikeACrystalBall
This is a vague, open question, so if you have no interest in these, please leave now. A few years ago it seemed everyone thought the death of desktop software was imminent. Web applications were the future. Everyone would move to cloud-based software-as-a-service systems, and developing applications for specific end-user platforms like Windows would soon become something of a ghetto. Joel's "How Microsoft Lost the API War" was but one of many such pieces sounding the death knell for this way of software development. Flash-forward to 2010, and the hype is all around mobile devices, particularly the iPhone. Software-as-a-Service vendors--even small ones such as YCombinator startups--go out of their way to build custom applications for the iPhone and other smart phone devices; applications that can be quite sophisticated, that run only on specific hardware and software architectures and are thus inherently incompatible. Now some of you are probably thinking, "Well, only the decline of desktop software was predicted; mobile devices aren't desktops." But the term was used by those predicting its demise to mean laptops also, and really any platform capable of running a browser. What was promised was a world where HTML and related standards would supplant native applications and their inherent difficulties. We would all code to the browser, not the OS. But here we are in 2010 with the AppStore bulging and development for the iPad just revving up. A few days ago, I saw someone on Hacker News claim that the future of computing was entirely in small, portable devices. Apparently the future is underpowered, requires dexterous thumbs and induces near-sightedness. How do those who so vehemently asserted one thing now assert the opposite with equal vehemence, without making even the slightest admission of error? And further, how are we as developers supposed to sift through all of this? I bought into the whole web-standards utopianism that was in vogue back in '06-'07 and now feel like it was a mistake. Is there some formula one can apply rather than a mere appeal to experience?

  • Cast exception when trying to create new Task Schedueler task.

    - by seaneshbaugh
I'm attempting to create a new task in the Windows Task Scheduler in C#. What I've got so far is pretty much a copy and paste of http://bartdesmet.net/blogs/bart/archive/2008/02/23/calling-the-task-scheduler-in-windows-vista-and-windows-server-2008-from-managed-code.aspx Everything compiles just fine but come run time I get the following exception: Unable to cast COM object of type 'System.__ComObject' to interface type 'TaskScheduler.ITimeTrigger'. This operation failed because the QueryInterface call on the COM component for the interface with IID '{B45747E0-EBA7-4276-9F29-85C5BB300006}' failed due to the following error: No such interface supported (Exception from HRESULT: 0x80004002 (E_NOINTERFACE)). Here's all the code so you can see what I'm doing here without following the above link. TaskSchedulerClass Scheduler = new TaskSchedulerClass(); Scheduler.Connect(null, null, null, null); ITaskDefinition Task = Scheduler.NewTask(0); Task.RegistrationInfo.Author = "Test Task"; Task.RegistrationInfo.Description = "Just testing this out."; ITimeTrigger Trigger = (ITimeTrigger)Task.Triggers.Create(_TASK_TRIGGER_TYPE2.TASK_TRIGGER_DAILY); Trigger.Id = "TestTrigger"; Trigger.StartBoundary = "2010-05-12T06:15:00"; IShowMessageAction Action = (IShowMessageAction)Task.Actions.Create(_TASK_ACTION_TYPE.TASK_ACTION_SHOW_MESSAGE); Action.Id = "TestAction"; Action.Title = "Test Task"; Action.MessageBody = "This is a test."; ITaskFolder Root = Scheduler.GetFolder("\\"); IRegisteredTask RegisteredTask = Root.RegisterTaskDefinition("Background Backup", Task, (int)_TASK_CREATION.TASK_CREATE_OR_UPDATE, null, null, _TASK_LOGON_TYPE.TASK_LOGON_INTERACTIVE_TOKEN, ""); The line that is throwing the exception is this one ITimeTrigger Trigger = (ITimeTrigger)Task.Triggers.Create(_TASK_TRIGGER_TYPE2.TASK_TRIGGER_DAILY); The exception message kinda makes sense to me, but I'm afraid I don't know enough about COM to really know where to begin with this. Also, I should add that I'm using VS 2010 and I had to set the project to either be for x86 or x64 CPU's instead of the usual "Any CPU" because it kept giving me a BadImageFormatException. I doubt that's related to my current problem, but just in case I thought I might as well mention it.

  • Problems compiling peazip on OSX

    - by Yansky
I'm having some problems with compiling Peazip on OSX (10.6). I emailed the Peazip developer and he said he probably couldn't help me too much as the error seems to be OSX specific and he doesn't have access to an OSX machine any more. The compiler I'm using is Lazarus as the source is in Pascal. The actual compile process seems to go ok, but when I run the peazip.app program launcher, I get the following error: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/thegooddale/Screen-shot-2010-05-22-at-71907-PM.png Here is the app launcher that the compile made: http://forboden.com/coding/peazip.app.zip - you can use an unzip program to look at the files inside (i.e. unzip it twice). I also tried just running the peazip unix file executable that was produced after the compile from the terminal and I got this: http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v215/thegooddale/Screen-shot-2010-05-22-at-72148-PM.png Here are the messages from the compile log from Lazarus while compiling Peazip: http://pastebin.com/qK4bdncL (I asked on the Lazarus forums and they said I can just ignore those "ld: warning: unknown stabs type" warnings). Here is the info from the project_peach.compiled file: <?xml version="1.0"?> <CONFIG> <Compiler Value="/usr/local/bin/ppc386" Date="1238949773"/> <Params Value=" -MObjFPC -Sgi -O1 -gl -k-framework -kCarbon -k-framework -kOpenGL -k'-dylib_file' -k'/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib:/System/Library/Frameworks/OpenGL.framework/Versions/A/Libraries/libGL.dylib' -WG -vewnhi -l -Fu/Users/yansky/Desktop/peazip-3.1.src/res/themes/crystalc/ -Fu/Developer/lazarus/components/synedit/units/i386-darwin/ -Fu/Developer/lazarus/ideintf/units/i386-darwin/ -Fu/Developer/lazarus/lcl/units/i386-darwin/ -Fu/Developer/lazarus/lcl/units/i386-darwin/carbon/ -Fu/Developer/lazarus/packager/units/i386-darwin/ -Fu/Users/yansky/Desktop/peazip-3.1.src/ -Fu. -opeazip -dLCL -dLCLcarbon project_peach.lpr"/> </CONFIG> I guess there's little chance that anyone here has experience with Pascal and Lazarus since it's not that popular a language and the compiler is still in beta, but I thought I would post here in the hopes that someone might point me in the right general direction about where/how the peazip.app launcher is breaking.

Do I have to switch from Time.now to Time.zone.now, everywhere? Seems cumbersome. I truly don't care what the local time of the server is, it's giving me loads of trouble due to extensive use of Time.now. Am I misunderstanding anything fundamental here?

  • Native Windows Application Development Options

Long winded title, short question: If one wants to develop for Windows but not have to rely on any external dependency (no runtime, thus ruling out .net), what supported, alive and fully functioning* alternatives are there? Visual Basic 6 is dead, Visual C++ is obvious and Delphi seems to be the prime choice for that, but I wonder if there are any other alternatives? *as in: Being able to use all the Windows Features like putting an icon in the Notification Area, making the Taskbar Icon flash etc.

  • UDK SettingsScene variable

    - by Ricket
I am in the process of porting a script from UT3 to UDK. The script is for class ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu extends UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu. I'm getting the following compiler error: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu.uc(18) : Error, Bad or missing expression in Call to 'OpenSceneByName', parameter 1 The referenced line is as follows: OpenSceneByName(SettingsScene); Okay, so I figured the OpenSceneByName function changed in UDK. Tracing the path of inheritance all the way up to UDKUIScene.uc, I found the definition: function UIScene OpenSceneByName(string SceneToOpen, bool bSkipAnimation=false, optional delegate<OnSceneActivated> SceneDelegate=None) Assuming SettingsScene is a string, everything looks fine, right? So I figured I would find SettingsScene to make sure it's a string. Well doing a search for "SettingsScene" in all files turned up only one other line; UTGameReplicationInfo.uc line 334: UTPC.OpenUIScene(class'UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu'.default.SettingsScene); But UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu doesn't have a SettingsScene variable in it! Just to check, I changed my line of code to match: OpenSceneByName(class'UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu'.default.SettingsScene); And indeed, I get the following compile error now: C:\UDK\UDK-2010-03\Development\Src\FixIt\Classes\ZOUIFrontEnd_MainMenu.uc(18) : Error, Unknown Property 'SettingsScene' in 'Class UTGame.UTUIFrontEnd_MainMenu' How does UTGameReplicationInfo.uc successfully compile? Where is the SettingsScene variable?

My problem is that when launching Tomcat from within eclipse I get the following error: SEVERE: StandardServer.await: create[8005]: java.net.SocketException: Invalid argument at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketBind(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.bind(PlainSocketImpl.java:365) at java.net.ServerSocket.bind(ServerSocket.java:319) at java.net.ServerSocket.<init>(ServerSocket.java:185) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardServer.await(StandardServer.java:373) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.await(Catalina.java:662) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.start(Catalina.java:614) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke0(Native Method) at sun.reflect.NativeMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(NativeMethodAccessorImpl.java:39) at sun.reflect.DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.invoke(DelegatingMethodAccessorImpl.java:25) at java.lang.reflect.Method.invoke(Method.java:597) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.start(Bootstrap.java:289) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Bootstrap.main(Bootstrap.java:414) Jun 16, 2010 9:54:34 PM org.apache.coyote.http11.Http11Protocol pause INFO: Pausing Coyote HTTP/1.1 on http-8080 Jun 16, 2010 9:54:34 PM org.apache.catalina.connector.Connector pause SEVERE: Protocol handler pause failed java.net.SocketException: Network is unreachable at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.socketConnect(Native Method) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.doConnect(PlainSocketImpl.java:333) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connectToAddress(PlainSocketImpl.java:195) at java.net.PlainSocketImpl.connect(PlainSocketImpl.java:182) at java.net.SocksSocketImpl.connect(SocksSocketImpl.java:366) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:529) at java.net.Socket.connect(Socket.java:478) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:375) at java.net.Socket.<init>(Socket.java:218) at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.unLockSocket(ChannelSocket.java:487) at org.apache.jk.common.ChannelSocket.pause(ChannelSocket.java:284) at org.apache.jk.server.JkMain.pause(JkMain.java:725) at org.apache.jk.server.JkCoyoteHandler.pause(JkCoyoteHandler.java:153) at org.apache.catalina.connector.Connector.pause(Connector.java:1029) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardService.stop(StandardService.java:566) at org.apache.catalina.core.StandardServer.stop(StandardServer.java:744) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina.stop(Catalina.java:648) at org.apache.catalina.startup.Catalina$CatalinaShutdownHook.run(Catalina.java:692) I suspect this is related to the java option java.net.preferIPv4Stack. Thanks in advance!

  • Problem with date parameter - Oracle

    - by Nicole
Hi everyone! I have this stored procedure: CREATE OR REPLACE PROCEDURE "LIQUIDACION_OBTENER" ( p_Cuenta IN NUMBER, p_Fecha IN DATE, p_Detalle OUT LIQUIDACION.FILADETALLE%TYPE ) IS BEGIN SELECT FILADETALLE INTO p_Detalle FROM Liquidacion WHERE (FILACUENTA = p_Cuenta) AND (FILAFECHA = p_Fecha); END; and my c# code: string liquidacion = string.Empty; OracleCommand command = new OracleCommand("Liquidacion_Obtener"); command.BindByName = true; command.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("p_Cuenta", OracleDbType.Int64)); command.Parameters["p_Cuenta"].Value = cuenta; command.Parameters.Add(new OracleParameter("p_Fecha", OracleDbType.Date)); command.Parameters["p_Fecha"].Value = fecha; command.Parameters.Add("p_Detalle", OracleDbType.Varchar2, ParameterDirection.Output); OracleConnectionHolder connection = null; connection = this.GetConnection(); command.Connection = connection.Connection; command.CommandTimeout = 30; command.CommandType = CommandType.StoredProcedure; OracleDataReader lector = command.ExecuteReader(); while (lector.Read()) { liquidacion += ((OracleString)command.Parameters["p_Detalle"].Value).Value; } the thing is that when I try to put a value into the parameter "Fecha" (that is a date) the code gives me this error (when the line command.ExecuteReader(); is executed) Oracle.DataAccess.Client.OracleException : ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error ORA-06512: at "SYSTEM.LIQUIDACION_OBTENER", line 9 ORA-06512: at line 1 the thing is that te date in the data base is saved like a date but it's format is "2010-APR-14" and the value I send is a datetime that has this format: "14/04/2010 00:00:00" could it be that??? I hope my post is understandable.. thanks!!!!!!!!!!

  • Apache Axis2 1.5.1 and NTLM Authentication

    - by arcticpenguin
I've browsed all of the discussions here on StackOverflow regarding NTLM and Java, and I can't seem to find the answer. I'll try and be much more specific. Here's some code that returns a client stub that (I hope) is configured for NTLM authentication: ServiceStub getService() { try { ServiceStub stub = new ServiceStub( "http://myserver/some/path/to/webservices.asmx"); // this service is hosted on IIS List<String> ntlmPreferences = new ArrayList<String>(1); ntlmPreferences.add(HttpTransportProperties.Authenticator.NTLM); HttpTransportProperties.Authenticator ntlmAuthenticator = new HttpTransportProperties.Authenticator(); ntlmAuthenticator.setPreemptiveAuthentication(true); ntlmAuthenticator.setAuthSchemes(ntlmPreferences); ntlmAuthenticator.setUsername("me"); ntlmAuthenticator.setHost("localhost"); ntlmAuthenticator.setDomain("mydomain"); Options options = stub._getServiceClient().getOptions(); options.setProperty(HTTPConstants.AUTHENTICATE, ntlmAuthenticator); options.setProperty(HTTPConstants.REUSE_HTTP_CLIENT, "true"); stub._getServiceClient().setOptions(options); return stub; } catch (AxisFault e) { e.printStackTrace(); } return null; } This returns a valid SerivceStub object. When I try to invoke a call on the stub, I see the following in my log: Jun 9, 2010 12:12:22 PM org.apache.commons.httpclient.auth.AuthChallengeProcessor selectAuthScheme INFO: NTLM authentication scheme selected Jun 9, 2010 12:12:22 PM org.apache.commons.httpclient.HttpMethodDirector authenticate SEVERE: Credentials cannot be used for NTLM authentication: org.apache.commons.httpclient.UsernamePasswordCredentials Does anyone have a solution to this issue?
