  Hey all, i am trying to learn how to insert a comment within some html code without having to refresh the page. I know jQuery is capable of inserting a comment into a div area but i am having problems finding an example like that with fading in. • Jquery click function does not load ajax tabs

  I have some tabs that load ajax content. When I click on the tabs it loads the ajax content perfectly no issues works exactly like it does in the Jqueryui demos. But when I try and change tab using an onclick function it opens the tab but doesn't do the ajax. Is this a known issue can it be done?? • ASP: runat=server for dynamic control

  In the Page_Load method I create a couple of controls, based on various conditions. I would like to register server side code with those controls. However, for the last part I need to declare my controls as server controls. This is normally done by runat=server, but I don't know how to set this attribute in the C# code. myControl.Attributes.Add("runat", "server") does not do the trick. This one works, meaning that the "test" method is called when I click on it: <asp:LinkButton ID="LinkButton1" runat="server" OnClick="test">testtext</asp:LinkButton> This one does not work: LinkButton lb = new LinkButton(); lb.ID = "LinkButton1"; lb.OnClientClick = "test"; lb.Text = "testtext"; lb.Attributes.Add("runat", "server"); I can click on it, and the page is loaded, but the test-method is not called. • Dynamically adding UserControl to list in ASP.NET

  I have UserControl, which is used for editing fields of some object. I had a page with this control, where user filled the fields, pressed "Submit" and object inserted in DB. And everything was Ok. But now user wants to insert several objects by one submit. So I need to implement dynamic adding of this control. What is the simpliest way to do it? The only way I see is to specify "+" button and to create control in its OnClick handler. But it is very dull. I think it is very common issue and there are better variants.

  I want to create a link like this: <a href="http://example.com">text</a> and replace the behavior so that the link downloads the content with Ajax instead when clicking. It is important for me not to replace the href attribute (so copying the link still works). One solution would be to do: $('link').onclick = function() { return false; }; but I would like to use the .observe method. But this doesn't work: $('link').observe('click', function() { return false; }); (which is quite logical). Any ideas on how I could achieve this? Thanks.

Now i have met a problem. <form name="myform" action="?page=matching" method="GET"> <input id="match_button" type="submit" name="button" value="button" onClick="func_load3()" /> </form> action="?page=matching" means the current page, because i use the single entry in my php application. With the code upon, When i click the button, it redirects to the homepage. And I tried to use: <form name="myform" action="<?php echo $_SERVER['PHP_SELF']; ?>" method="GET"> but it still doesn't work. So i have to ask for help from you. Do you have any ideas about that?   Hi, I am trying to use jQuery to position an inpage div (Context-Menu) relative to a clicked tablerow on a webpage. This works fine until I add an offset with either "left" or "margin-left" to the outer container. Using padding-left works.... The relevant code is: $('#supermenu').position({ my: "left top", at: "left top", of: $(event.target).closest('tr'), collision: "fit" }); The caller looks like: <tr onclick="getMenu(event)"><td>.... What happens: The left margin is added "twice" to the X Offset, so the Menu is not aligned to the left border of the table but somewhere right of it. In this scenario, there's a Java-based game that has a map of the game world oriented in an X, Y coordinate tile system. Some of the grid tiles are player cities, some are non-player locations. The game runs inside a frame in the browser, the X, Y coordinate map feature is one optional view, and the entire map is not available to view at any one time. Each grid tile has an "Onclick" event and an "Onmouseover" event. The mouseover event is a tooltip, the click event is something called a "modal" that has information specific to that tile. What I'd like to find out is: How can I poll all the grid tiles' "modal" information using some kind of script or other auto-running polling feature?

  Hello Friends, I have written a custom validation code in JQUERY. which is working fine. I have a login form which have two fields i.e. userid and password. I have written a custom JQUERY code for client side validation for these fields. This custom JQUERY code is working fine and gives me proper error messages as per the situation. But the problem with this code is that when I enter the invalid data in any or both field and press submit button of form then it displays the proper error message but at the same time when I checked it in Firebug it displays following error message when submit button of the form is clicked validate is not defined function onclick(event) { javascript: return validate(); }(click clientX=473, clientY=273) So please tell me where is I am wrong in my Jquery code.
