• jquery autosize web interface?

  Hi there, I have been designing with jquery and using the jquery UI widgets .. but always been designing for 1024 x 768 ... Is there any tricks or plugins (preferably that work with jquery UI) to automatically resize elements of my interface ... that way when somebody views it at a higher resolution it doesn't look so small..   Tagged PDFs allow for the easy reflow and accessibility of PDFs. It seems like this would be a natural use case for using LaTeX, which advocates content over style. But as far as I can tell, there is no way to create a tagged PDF with MikTeX 2.8. Does anybody know of any tips, tricks or techniques to get a tagged PDF through LaTeX without resorting to the commercial version of Adobe Acrobat?

• How can I delete a newline if it is the last character in a file?

  I have some files that I'd like to delete the last newline if it is the last character in a file. 'od -c' shows me that the command I run does write the file with a trailing new line: 0013600 n t > \n I've tried a few tricks with sed but the best I could think of isn't doing the trick: sed -e '$s/\(.*\)\n$/\1/' abc Any ideas how to do this?

  How can I force my objects DataContext bindings to update? I'm using an event on a grid, and binding updates are not being processed before my event fires. Any cheap tricks to get around this? In the end I can always do things the old manual way of getting the values from my textboxes and updating my object, but it'd be nice to have binding do it for me.

• Excel embedded in a php page

  I have a client who wants to be able to embed an Excel document (one that is currently sitting on the same server as the HTML document) like how you would embed a Flash app on a page. I'm correct in assuming this is not possible, right? Please confirm/deny so we can hopefully move on from this because he seems to think this is possible. • Cross-browser method for hiding page elements until all content is loaded to prevent layout from appearing broken during load?

  I have an issue where due to some elements loading faster than others, the page looks broken for a few seconds at the start. An example is the CSS Pie behavior that allows me to do curved corners in IE, it appears before it becomes curved which looks bad. What would be ideal would be it somehow knowing when everything is loaded and then appear all at once, possibly including some kind of elegant visual way of not making the user feel impatient... any ideas or common tricks for doing this?

However, on Window 7 when I issued: django-admin.py startproject mysite python.exe was started and a window appeared to ask me to choose either python.exe or other program to open a file.... did I do anthing wrong or there are more tricks for window 7? thanks.

  Currently, I am testing every integer element against each other to find which ones match. The arrays do not contain duplicates within their own set. Also, the arrays are not always equal lengths.
