    I used code given but I am getting "IOCancelledException" and "IOException". And IOCancelledException.getMessage() / IOException.getMessage() giving null string, it does not give error message.     I have a folder full of XHTML files, and a console program to process them. The problem is, it doesn't work when I'm offline, because The remote name could not be resolved: 'www.w3.org' A number of sites, including this one, say to set the XmlResolver to null. That is not not working. I have tried setting the XmlResolver to null every way that I can think of: in the XmlDocument, in XmlTextReader, and in the XmlReaderSettings. I believe that it's just creating a default instance. I have also tried implementing my own XmlResolver, but I don't know what to return for external items. public class NonXmlResolver : XmlUrlResolver { public override object GetEntity( Uri absoluteUri, string role, Type ofObjectToReturn ) { if ( absoluteUri.Scheme == "http" ) throw new Exception("What you talking 'bout, Willis?"); else return base.GetEntity( absoluteUri, role, ofObjectToReturn ); } } The documents do not use any special entities, only pure XML.   • How to prevent Visual Studio setting my default font sizes in an inherited control

    I have a base class for all my textboxes and I want to set the default font in that class. So I started with this: public partial class MyTextBox : TextBox { public WmlTextBox() { InitializeComponent(); //Font for the whole application can be altered in the Appearance class Font = new Appearance().TextBoxFont; } } I then stripped out all the code in the form that was setting the font of the textboxes. Of course this worked fine until I altered an item on the page. Visual Studio picked up the default font for the application (set in the Appearance class), and generated code in the designer for all TextBoxes to set it to that specific font. How can I stop visual studio from generating code from my default font? I want to allow the developers to change the property, but I want to set the default font centrally.

    So according to my testing, If you have something like: Module modA = new AbstractModule() { public void configure() { bind(A.class).to(AImpl.class); bind(C.class).to(ACImpl.class); bind(E.class).to(EImpl.class); } } Module modB = New AbstractModule() { public void configure() { bind(A.class).to(C.class); bind(D.class).to(DImpl.class); } } Guice.createInjector(Modules.overrides(modA, modB)); // gives me binding for A, C, E AND D with A overridden to A->C. But what if you want to remove the binding for E in modB? I can't seem to find a way to do this without having to break the bind for E into a separate module. Is there a way?

I would like to know if it is possible to add Data Annotations to the member properties on one partial class where it's declared on the other Subsonic Generated one I tried this. public partial class User { [DataType(DataType.EmailAddress, ErrorMessage = "Please enter an email address")] public string Email { get; set; } ... } That examples gives the "Member is already defined" error. I think I might have seen an example a while ago of what I'm trying to do with Dynamic Data and Linq2Sql.

    In this small example, c++ forgets size of an array, passed to a constructor. I guess it is something simple, but I cannot see it. In classes.h, there is this code: #ifndef CLASSES_INC #define CLASSES_INC #include <iostream> class static_class { public: static_class(int array[]) { std::cout<<sizeof(array)/sizeof(int)<<"\n"; } }; class my_class{ public: static static_class s; static int array[4]; }; #endif In classes.cpp, there is this code: #include "classes.h" int my_class::array[4]={1, 2, 3, 4}; static_class my_class::s = static_class(my_class::array); In main.cpp, there is only simple #include "classes.h" int main () { return 0; } Now, the desired output (from the constructor of static_class) is 4. But what I get is 1. Why is that?

Can somebody tell me if I can achieve the same result without specifying a generic type? If so, how? I would probably change the signature so it'd be like: public static MyTag GenerateTag(this HtmlHelper htmlHelper, object obj /*, ... */) { Type t = typeof(obj); // implement GenerateTag } but Type t = typeof(obj); is impossible. The input.txt file is in the same directory as my class file that is calling it yet eclipse still gives me an error that it cant be found: "Exception in thread "main" java.lang.Error: Unresolved compilation problem: Unhandled exception type FileNotFoundException" My code: package pa; import java.util.Scanner; public class Project { public static void main(String[] args) { java.io.File file = new java.io.File("input.txt"); System.out.println(file.getAbsolutePath()); Scanner input = new Scanner(file); } } input.txt is in the same package, same folder and everything. I'm confused :(

    Hello I moved my access apllication from DAO into ADO connection. It works better but I am encountering a problem when I enter a value in a form's field then I push the tab button the screen takes me to the first fields of the form and I lose my activecontrol which is the control of the field in which i enter the value. N.B.: If I clicked the cursor using the mouse after applying the value in the specified field, it works properly... Any help will highly appreciated

    Hi Forum, I am new to Blackberry development (I am using Eclipse with Blackberry plug-in), I am trying to read a text file, which I placed in the "src" folder of my Blackberry project and this text file just contain a word "Test". when I run the program, I gets "UncaughtException: java.lang.outofmemoryerror".   • What is the best way, if possible, to send information from a Java PrintStream to a JTextPane?

    In Java, I have a package that translates XML metadata from one standard to another. This package is ultimately accessed through a single function and sends all of its output through a PrintStream object. The output sent is just a status of each file and whether or not it was translated. This is pretty fine and dandy if I'm just printing to System.out, but I'm actually wanting to print this to a JTextPane while it translates (kind of like a progress text box). It wouldn't be a big deal to just print the status after it was done translating the XML, but since there may be thousands of XML files, that's just not feasible. One thing that I've tried is to use a thread that takes all of the information from the PrintStream (which is attached to a ByteArrayOutputStream) and let it send any new information to the text pane. Unfortunately, this still sends the information all at once at the end of the translation. This does work correctly for System.out. Any suggestions? Do I need to change the PrintStream to something else?
