  I just found out, that it seems a common pattern to user UpperFirstLetterPascalCase() for private methods. I for myself, find this completely inconsistent with naming rules of private instance fields and variables and I find it difficult to read/debug, too. I would want to ask, why using a first upper letter for methods could be a better choice than a first lower (doThis())? Just out of curiosity...

• Who calls the Destructor of the class when operator delete is used in multiple inheritance.

  This question may sound too silly, however , I don't find concrete answer any where else. With little knowledge on how late binding works and virtual keyword used in inheritance. As in the code sample, when in case of inheritance where a base class pointer pointing to a derived class object created on heap and delete operator is used to deallocate the memory , the destructor of the of the derived and base will be called in order only when the base destructor is declared virtual function. Now my question is : 1) When the destructor of base is not virtual, why the problem of not calling derived dtor occur only when in case of using "delete" operator , why not in the case given below: derived drvd; base *bPtr; bPtr = &drvd; //DTOR called in proper order when goes out of scope. 2) When "delete" operator is used, who is reponsible to call the destructor of the class? The operator delete will have an implementation to call the DTOR ? or complier writes some extra stuff ? If the operator has the implementation then how does it looks like , [I need sample code how this would have been implemented]. 3) If virtual keyword is used in this example, how does operator delete now know which DTOR to call? Fundamentaly i want to know who calls the dtor of the class when delete is used. I'm building a web application where users might spend a lot of time typing into big text fields, but for security reasons I still want sessions to time out after a reasonably short period. I want to warn them if their session is about to expire so they can save or take some other action to keep it alive. Any tips? thanks!

• Why can I not add a set accessor to an overriden property?

  In a base class I have this property: public virtual string Text { get { return text; } } I want to override that and return a different text, but I would also like to be able to set the text, so I did this: public override string Text { get { return differentText; } set { differentText = value; } } This however does not work. I get a red squiggly under set saying that I can not override because it does not have a set accessor. Why is this aproblem? What should I do?

  I thought these two tests should behave identically, in fact I have written the test in my project using MS Test only to find out now that it does not respect the expected message in the same way that nunit does. nunit (fails): [Test, ExpectedException(typeof(System.FormatException), ExpectedMessage = "blah")] public void Validate() { int.Parse("dfd"); } ms test (passes): [TestMethod, ExpectedException(typeof(System.FormatException), "blah")] public void Validate() { int.Parse("dfd"); } No matter what message I give the ms test, it will pass. Is there any way to get the ms test to fail if the message is not right? Can I even create my own exception attribute? I would rather not have to write a try catch block for every test where this occurs.

  I've set up a SOAP WebServiceProvider in JAX-WS, but I'm having trouble figuring out how to get the raw XML from a SOAPMessage (or any Node) object.   There is apparently a bug introduced in the latest Java update for Mac OS X, which causes deletes in JFormattedTextFields to be performed twice. See http://lists.apple.com/archives/java-dev/2010/May/msg00092.html The DefaultEditorKit.deletePrevCharAction is invoked twice when the delete key is pressed. Are there any suggestions for a workaround? I'm thinking of replacing the delete action for my text fields with a patched version that somehow filters out these duplicate invocations.

How could I rewrite above query, or change something in LINQ, to omit Key and Rank and just return my "fishes" results (and to have the fulltext search result objects be of type Fish, which is what I really care about, so I don't have to cast)?

Activity A mainly there are 3 textbox for me to key in something then a button to go to Activity B(Confirmation Page) and in Activity B, i am able to show what i have keyed in Activity A. I am new to Android, so can someone guide me through this?
