    I am a total beginner with python. I need help updating the score of a card game. The scoring works as follows: Player A or B has a pair: score += 1 Player A asks Player B (vice versa) for a card and that player has it: score += 1 Player B doesn't have it, Player A has to draw a card. If there is pair after draw: score += 2 I have the logic down but I don't really know how to connect it together. I tried manually adding the scores in my functions, but it get's messy and complicated :( I assume I would have to make a new function for the score and call them in my other functions? I would appreciate the guidance, Thank-you!

    Hi I need to verify in my WPF application if the user log in to his computer via password or via smart-card. Both login options are available in my company clients but my application need to open only in the smart-card login. All the clients are windows 7 OS.     Before I jump in at the very deep end and try to make my own version of Moon Pig (www.moonpig.com) I would like to know what (if any) software/platforms currently exist that allow for visitors to personalise cards with text and uploaded photos and then purchase printed versions all via a single e-Commerce style platform. I have Googled till my fingers bled and I cannot find anything that matches my needs, which are: admin can provide templates (backgrounds) for the cards users can customise the card with text (font style and colour) users can upload their own photos (minor editing e.g. crop) to insert into the cards user can purchase a printed card via credit card payment Seeing as this kind of e-Commerce has been around for a while now, I would have thought there were some systems to purchase that can provide this functionality?

    I want to use Originate API of Asterisk to place an outbound call on a FXO channel, for testing purpose I am using X100P card and, as expected, card is not able to detect if the number is busy/ringing or when it is answered. I want to know which card should I use so that I can get such basic events ... I am not really interested in detailed call progress analysis for answering machine or live voice. I just need basic busy/ringing and answer events and maybe a dis-connect event. Thanks.

    Hello, I'm just setting out in android development. I want to make a kind of card based game. I'm just looking for suggestions really on how I might start it. I know I have to make the menu layout and view, then use an Intent from that to get to the main game view. My sticking points are: -There's going to be a deck of cards. It's going to be a set number so I was thinking I could just have each card defined as a button in the layout. I don't know if that is the right way to do it though. -Storage of card details.     Is there a 'top' like command for monitoring the GPU and memory usage of a video card? I am most interested in Linux commands, but and OS would be interesting. I strongly suspect that for a group of my systems the video cards are being under-utilized (but I have no idea by how much) and would like to re-allocate funds to other bottle-necks. We are using higher end cards, so the price difference between cards is significant. Thank you.

    How do I run a script when a drive is mounted under OSX ? My usecase is that I would like to automatically copy images from my USB memory/harddrive when it is inserted in my USB card reader, and when a DVD or CD is inserted I would like to copy it for storage in my media center. I've tried using Marcopolo but from what I can see it can only detect the presence of a certain USB device, not the presence of specific harddrive.   • Need advice on which PCI SATA Controller Card to Purchase

    I have a major issue with the build of a machine I am trying to get up and running. My goal is to create a file server that will service the needs of my software development, personal media storage and streaming/media server needs, as well as provide a strong platform for backing up all this data in a routine, cron-job oriented German efficiency sort of way. The issue is a simple one - all my drives are SATA drives and my motherboard controller only contains 4 ports. Solving the issue has proven to be an unmitigated nightmare. I would like advice on the purchase of the following: 4 Port internal SATA / 2 Port external eSATA PCI SATA Controller Card that has the following features and/or advantages: It must function. If I plug it in and attach drives, I expect my system to still make it to the Operating System login screen. It must function on CentOS, and I mean it must function WELL and with MINIMAL hassle. If hassle is unavoidable, there shall be CLEAR CUT and EASY TO FOLLOW instructions on how to install drivers and other supporting software. I do not need nor want fakeRAID - I will be setting up any RAID configurations from within the operating system. Now, if I am able to find such a mythical device, I would be eternally grateful to whomever would be able to point me in the right direction, a direction which I assume will be paved with yellow bricks. I am prepared to pay a considerable sum of money (as SATA controller cards go) and so paying anywhere between 60 to 120 dollars will not be an issue whatsoever. Does such a magical device exist? The following link shows an "example" of the type of thing I am looking for, however, I have no way of verifying that once I plug this baby in that my system will still continue to function once I've attached the drives, or that once I've made it to the OS, I will be able to install whatever drivers or software programs I need to make it work with relative ease.     I just installed windows 7 on dell 4600 desktop. the Audio card is a Creative Labs Sound Blaster Audigy 2. I've look all over, and I can't find a driver for windows 7. I've also looked at Vista Drivers. It seems Dell is not supporting Windows 7 with this computer. I've got a work around, but would like a driver if possible. Any help would be appreciated.

I've had hard drive errors in the past and those always had errors about failing to write to specific sectors in the logs. Not this time. Should I be replacing the drive? Could something else be causing the problem? I've scheduled a smartctl -t long test that will finish in a couple of hours. I hope this will give me some more info.

    I've got 6 drives (each 1.5T, all same model and firmware revision) that are part of a RAID5 array. The RAID5 makes a LVM volume group and a logical group. The latter contains only one ext3 partition. I've recently ran: e2fsck -f /dev/vg03/lv01 && resize2fs -M /dev/vg03/lv01 which exited without an error. Now when I try to mount /dev/vg03/lv01 I get: EXT3-fs error (device dm-0): ext3_check_descriptors: Block bitmap for group 30533 not in group (block 1000532368)! EXT3-fs: group descriptors corrupted! How do I get out of this predicament? This is all the info I can currently give you: fdisk -l /dev/sd[cdefgh] shows (correctly) that they are "Linux raid autodetect" but fdisk now shows: fdisk -l /dev/md0 Disk /dev/md0: 7501.5 GB, 7501495664640 bytes ... Thanks in advance for all and any help. 2011-09-20 UPDATE I issued the following commands and was able to remount the partition, but by viewing the size (df) of before and after, it seems that 1Tb of data have gone missing. By checking the MD5SUMS (from an old backup) of some files with the "same" files from the remounted partition, some errors have been detected.   • Graphics card ATI Asus 9250 128 MB AGP problem.Monitor switching off.

    I have an old system with these specs: Motherboard: Via P4x266a (with AGP 4x) CPU: P4 1,7 Ghz Memory: 1152 MB DDR SDRAM Graphics card: Voodoo 3 2000 16 MB PSU: 300 Watt It also has 1 dvd-rom, 1 dvd-rw, 2 hard drives (all 4 connected via molex) , 1 sounblaster sound card and 1 ethernet card (both connected via pci). OS: XP Pro Recently I bought Asus 9250 128 MB AGP to replace voodoo.Wnen I switch on the pc the initial screens (until after the xp logo) sometimes are distorted with blurred colours.When XP are loaded there is some flickering but the rest are ok.XP can't recognize the card seeing it as just a VGA adapter.I have downloaded the latest xp drivers from ATI website and installed them.Then after the restart everything is ok (no distorted image or blurring) until after the xp logo.After this the monitor turns off while the pc is still running.I have tried many drivers but the problem persists (of course I removed the voodoo drivers before from the display adapter properties).Only once I have managed to enter XP (after changing BIOS features for graphics card from 256 MB to 128 MB) but the drivers on the control panel had an exclamation mark (ati 9250!) and below them ati 9250 secondary without ! under the display adapter tab and the ATI catalyst program said that it couldn;t find the card.That was the opnly time I went beyond the xp logo.Now the monitor auto switcheS off. So, what do you think? 1)Is this a broken card? 2)Is it the drivers of the card? 3)Is it PSU fault? 4)Anything else? Thanks for your help and excuse my english!
