• Internet stopped working suddenly on 12.04

  My laptop was running smoothly until yesterday. Today, I can't connect to the Internet at home anymore. I am only able to access the router, but no Internet access. A have a Dell Latitude E6320 with Ubuntu 12.04. At my job, I don't have any problems connecting this laptop both via Wireless and Ethernet. At home, if I try connecting it through Windows, it does work fine. I even checked the MAC address and it's OK. My other laptop, which also runs Ubuntu, is not facing this problem. I have already tried to restart and downgrade network-manager package and its dependencies. Can anyone help me please? I am afraid, I will have to reinstall everything.

• Wireless connects but can not connect to internet

  I'm using Ubuntu 11.04 and I'm having trouble connecting to internet via wifi. Ethernet cable works though. So when I log on it auto logs on to my wifi connection at home but after about a minute or so it gives me a popup: network disabled something about .local domain and something about Avahi network (sorry if you need more on what the popup says I will reboot and look at it again). I am using Atheros wireless card. My laptop is Asus G73SW and on the forum at notebookreview.com G73SW Owner's Lounge people said they had no problem with connecting via wifi from install. Please help me because I would love to keep using this beautiful OS.

• Switching hosting from Google Apps to GoDaddy

  I am in a pickle here. I just bought a hosting service from GoDaddy and I already have a domain registered with Google Apps. So I went into the domain control center from Google Apps and I changed the nameservers to point to GoDaddy's and then I deleted all the A records and also removed the www and main CNAME. Then I created an A record with host "@" which points to the IP address I got from GoDaddy (this is the server address I see under the category Server in the GoDaddy Hosting Control Center). Also, I see that in this domain center, the domain forwarding is set to forward to my address "www.domainsite.com". So right now when I go to my website I see the error "This website is temporarily unavailable, please try again later." Does anyone know how to set this up properly or know what problem I could be having? Thanks!

• Banshee won't sync OGG format to my iphone

  I have a jailbroken iphone 3g with 16 gigs of memory and I've been putting my music on it from banshee lately and have been having almost no issue. Unfortunately, I just added a few albums to my Banshee library and tried to sync them to my iphone, but every time I try, i see a hundred or so errors saying that the device doesn't support the ogg format and there was no converter found. I'm still pretty much a newb at this stuff, so please help me and dumb down your answer. I'm running 12.04 and again, using an iphone 3g with no sim card, but it's been jailbroken and is used primarily for it's music function.

• Problem with Ubuntu and UEFI (Problem with any linux OS)

  I have purchased a new Sony Vaio laptop and it is said that the Windows in the recent laptops is installed in the UEFI mode. But all the Linux OS are installed in default in Legacy mode. When I reboot my laptop, Ubuntu is not being detected on boot. Only Windows is detected. To access Ubuntu, whenever I boot the system, I need to: (1) enter the boot menu, (2) change the mode to legacy, and (3) type a bit of scary commands in grub then Ubuntu successfully opens. This is a bit of problem for me. So I wanted to know the solution for this problem. So please kindly look over my problem as soon as possible.

  Is there any Document Management System in Ubuntu? I tried Alfresco, RavenDB, Owl, Document Manager. Alfresco, RavenDB are heavy. More than my requirements. Owl having source issues. Document Manager im trying to install. Should keep data on the same machine as I am looking for more of internal purpose. Should allow to upload Zip files as well. If it extracts Zip it will be a great + Should allow to send email to preconfigured email addresses Should allow to upload data of size around 100MB at one go Should maintain history of documents also deleted documents Should allow role based document access. This exception support will be comprised of three components: (1) new fixes for Severity 1 production issues, (2) United States Form 1099 2013 year-end updates, and (3) payroll regulatory updates for the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Australia for fiscal years ending in 2014.  In addition, the Extended Support period for E-Business Suite Release 12.1 has been extended through December, 2018. Customers with an active Oracle Premier Support for Software contract will automatically be entitled to Extended Support deliverables for E-Business Suite 12.1.   I was recently going over MPEG articles and videos to understand how it works. I understand what I, P and B frames do but I do not understand how the prediction is calculated. Assume that I want to record a video of a ball falling from the sky to the ground and then bouncing a couple of times before finally coming to a halt. Also, I am not clear with the concept of the 16x16 macroblock.
