• Google-Calendar offline?

  How can I have my google-calendars availabe offline on my PC as well? I have been using dropbox to sync my calendars in ics-format between different PC's instead of using google calendar. The disadvantage of google-calendar is, that I can only see my appointments when online. Now I want to sync my calendars with my android device as well, what does not seem to be possible yet. So I am planning to have an online copy of all my appointments on Google-Calendar, in order to sync them with my Android device. At the same time I want to be able to access my appointments offline (have an offline copy of each calendar on my PC's synced via Dropbox). Is there a way to automatically duplicate and sync Coogle-Calendars with Ubuntu to achieve this? • New user to Linux Mint and Alinux

  which is better for a new Linux user, Linux Mint or Alinux i had trouble getting Alinux to run after install Mint ran fine. We are also with the Tucson Refugee ministry and we have computers given to us all the time then we reload the OS clean it up then we give them to the refugee families. We need something that will run on older computers with 256 or 512m of ram, and i do not want to use Micro Soft Please help. PS is there any other Linux OS you would recommend?????? • Subwoofer doesn't work on Dell Inspiron 17R after upgrade to 13.10

  After upgrading from 13.04 to 13.10 Dell's Inspirion 17R subwoofer stoped working. In Ubuntu 13.04 was workaround by adding in the file /etc/modprobe.d/alsa-base.conf next line: options snd-hda-intel model=ref This issue was discussed here: How to activate subwoofer in Inspiron 17r? After update previous workarounds don't help and I get no sound from any speaker in this case. Is there some other fix for the latest version?

  I need a secure git -repo host, either by third-party or by myself. I am not sure how so outlining some ideas. Please, answer how you manage git -repos securely -- do you use some service or do you use only your 'legs' -approach? Afaik Bitbucket.org and Github.com are missing Gmail -style second-verification. Now I need this kind of login-system with password and mobile-phone to access the administration things in the git -hosting or ability to disable this kind of access without private -key. • interface changed after restart on Xubuntu

  Something happened a few times after using Xubuntu since 1 month ago. A few times after i restarted my laptop the interface was totally changed. The icons from the panel were different and almost everything. It looked great, it had a grey interface, very nice icons, buttons were bigger and everything looked great. I have no idea what happened, i tried to find the same interface/theme from Settings Manager but without succes. Can anyone please tell me what happened or how can i use the grey interface? It dissapeared after i restarted the laptop. Thank you

  im unable to record sound using this app. the check box is checked for the sound, it just doesnt record sound. idk what to do. i have ubuntu 12.04 64bit. plus nvidia drivers dont work what so ever. so im just using the default ubuntu drivers. i looked up the site for this app. they dont give an instructions on sound for this program. any help me please??? the microphone sound input works with it. but it cant record system sounds.

• Ubuntu 11.10 UI changed suddenly?

  10 64 bit on a Dell laptop that has 6GB RAM and 1GB graphic card. All of a sudden there were some sudden changes in UI which I am unable to understand why. The unity panel was initially glassy and transparent, now it looks all black in its background. Likewise the alt+tab graphics was working well until it got changed suddenly and now shows icons on pure white background. I've not tried to install any themes and I've not tried to tweak anything. Why did this UI changes occur? Could it be that it is unable to detect the graphic card or something? How can I fix this and how can I get back the original desktop back? Please help..

• No idea of how to simulate car crashes

  I have a simple car game with all the basic collision detection and movement in Unity with C#. But when I was building the "engine" for the game I didn't include a detail I later decided to include. I want the possibility so that cars can get damaged and so that the model can change. For example the car looked like it was new and after a crash it looks like a wreck. Please help me by pointing to some resources or by telling me approximate ways of implementing this new feature.
