• Display only visits referred from a Google Adwords campain

  I want to only display visits to my site which were sent by my Google Adwords campain preferably in the Visitors overview page. I've tried filtering with 'Advanced Segments' but when I select "Paid Search Traffic" visits goes down to zero. But I do know that most of my visitors at the moment are being sent from Google Adwords. In this question the answer (which was not chosen) suggested adding a HTTP GET request or an URL shortener, but surly there is a way to do it in Analytics?

• Configure Jenkins and Tomcat using Puppet on Vagrant

  I'm playing with setting up my first Spring + jenkins + Tomcat CI dev environment. For now it's just a test/fun phase, but in the near future I'll be starting new project with my coworkers. That's the reason that I want development environment virtualized and exactly te same on every development machine, as well as on production server. I choosen to use Vagrant and to try to write puppet scripts that not only install everything, but also configure everything so each of us will have the same jenkins plugins, same jenkins and tomcat login and password, and literally after calling vagrant up we are ready to work. What I managed to do so far is installation of stuff needed and port forwarding. I really want to move configuration presented in this tutorial to puppet file, so when I spread my vagrantfile and puppet file between my coworkers, I will be sure that everyone has exactly te same setup. Unfortunately I'm also green about using puppet, I don't know how to do this. Any help will be apreciated.

• Using polygons instead of quads on Cocos2d

  I've been looking under the hood of Cocos2d, and I think (please correct me if I'm wrong) that although working with quads is a key feature of the engine, it should't be dificult to make it work with arrays of vertices (aka polygons) instead of quads, being the quads a special case of an array of four vertices by the way, does anyone have any code that makes cocos2d render a texture filled polygon inside a batch node? the code posted here (http://www.cocos2d-iphone.org/forum/topic/8142/page/2#post-89393) does a nice job rendering a texture filled polygon but the class doesn't work with batch nodes

  I just found that David Aiken, a windows azure developer and evangelist, wrote a cool article about how to use Memcached in Windows Azure through the new feature Azure Plugin. http://www.davidaiken.com/2011/01/11/windows-azure-memcached-plugin/ I think the best solution for distributed cache in Azure would be the Windows Azure AppFabric Caching but since it’s only in CTP and avaiable in the US data center David’s solution would be the best. • Set Up Google Analytics to Track Domain Alias

  I found this article from Google http://www.google.com/support/analytics/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=55523 However I'm not sure what happens to the data. Will I be able to determine which domain forwarded to the primary domain using their technique? Or will it simply tranfers all the relevant keyword and other factors to the primary domain but not which domain was originally landed before the 302 redirect. What I need to do is track which domain alias are being used.

• Easy Profiling Point Insertion

  One really excellent feature of NetBeans IDE is its Profiler. What's especially cool is that you can analyze code fragments, that is, you can right-click in a Java file and then choose Profiling | Insert Profiling Point. When you do that, you're able to analyze code fragments, i.e., from one statement to another statement, e.g., how long a particular piece of code takes to execute: https://netbeans.org/kb/docs/java/profiler-profilingpoints.html However, right-clicking a Java file and then going all the way down a longish list of menu items, to find "Profiling", and then "Insert Profiling Point" is a lot less easy than right-clicking in the sidebar (known as the glyphgutter) and then setting a profiling point in exactly the same way as a breakpoint: That's much easier and more intuitive and makes it far more likely that I'll use the Profiler at all. Once profiling points have been set then, as always, another menu item is added for managing the profiling point: To achieve this, I added the following to the "layer.xml" file: <folder name="Editors"> <folder name="AnnotationTypes"> <file name="profiler.xml" url="profiler.xml"/> <folder name="ProfilerActions"> <file name="org-netbeans-modules-profiler-ppoints-ui-InsertProfilingPointAction.shadow"> <attr name="originalFile" stringvalue="Actions/Profile/org-netbeans-modules-profiler-ppoints-ui-InsertProfilingPointAction.instance"/> <attr name="position" intvalue="300"/> </file> </folder> </folder> </folder> Notice that a "profiler.xml" file is referred to in the above, in the same location as where the "layer.xml" file is found. But that's true for the debugger too, i.e., there's no MIME type specific glyphgutter, instead, it is shared by all MIME types. Little bit confusing that the profiler point insertion can now, in theory, be set for all MIME types, but that's also true for the debugger, even though it doesn't apply to all MIME types. That probably explains why the profiling point insertion can only be done, officially, from the right-click popup menu of Java files, i.e., the developers wanted to avoid confusion and make it available to Java files only. However, I think that, since I'm already aware that I can't set the Java debugger in an HTML file, I'm also aware that the Java profiler can't be set that way as well.   I am trying to make a simple sync between two box2d rooms, where you can drag boxes using the mouse. So every time player clicks (and holds the mousedown) a box, I try send joint parameters to server, and server sends them to other clients. When mouseup occurs, I send command to delete joint. The problem is that sync breaks too often. Well, this may not be that much as compared to so many other users out there but I am happy with mine. So, I was thinking of adding my profile link on my résumé. (Just the profile link and not that "I have this much reputation on SO"). Those who haven't seen, can see this question Would you put your stackoverflow profile link on your CV / Resume?. How would this look like? Forums/Blogs/Miscellaneous others No blogging as yet but active participant in Stackoverflow. Thanks Update MKO has made a very good point - "do you really want a potential employeer to be able to evaluate in detail everything you've ever written on SO". I thought of commenting but it would be too long - In my questions/answers I put a lot of statements like - "AFAIK ...", "following are my assumptions so far ...", "am I correct to conclude that... ?", "I doubt if it is possible to ..." etc. when I am not sure about something and I rarely involve in fights with other users. However I do argue on topics sometimes if I feel it is necessary and if I have a valid point. I do accept my mistakes and apologize for the same. As we all know nobody is perfect. I must have written many things which may be judged as wrong by a potential employer. But what if the same employer notices that I have improved in the quality of content by comparing old content with new one? Isn't that great? I also try to go back to older questions/answers and put corrective comments etc. when I feel I was wrong or if I can improve my post. Of course there are many employers who want you (potential employees) to be correct each and every time. They immediately remove you from consideration when you say a single incorrect thing. I have personally met such an interviewer few months back. He didn't even care to listen to any good thing I had done after he found a single wrong thing. Now the question is do you really care to work with such people? Or do you like those people who give value to the fact that you are striving to improve every day. I personally prefer the latter.

• Are factors such as Intellisense support and strong typing enough to justify the use of an 'Anaemic Domain Model'?

  It's easy to accept that objects should be used in all layers except a layer nominated as a data layer. However, it's just as easy to end-up with an 'anaemic domain model' that is just an object representation of data with no real functionality ( http://martinfowler.com/bliki/AnemicDomainModel.html ). However, using objects in this fashion brings the benefit of factors such as Intellisense support, strong typing, readability, discoverability, etc. Are these factors strong arguments for an otherwise, anaemic domain model?

• Getting .mesh & .skeleton from Blender2Ogre export

  I have downloaded the add-on blender2ogre from this source : http://code.google.com/p/blender2ogre/ And I have created a simple mesh, with walking animation (similar to the gingerbreadman tutorial). My question is, whenever I want to export the project, I can only see the .scene export format. There is no option whatsoever to export as .mesh and .skeleton. Also, how can I export the walking animation separately, in other words, if my project have couple more animation, how can i separate those during export?
