• SSIS FTP task connection error

  Hi, I have a FTP connection manager in SSIS. I have configured it with serevr IP, port number, user name, and password. It was working fine. But suddenly its stopped working. But i am able to login directly to the FTP web site directly .It was not working temporarily.But now its working with same login credentials. But my FTP connection manager in SSIS is unable to connect to the server. with following Error message "connection cannot be established.server name ,port number ,credentials may be invalid" What could be the reason? I have checked servername,port and login credentials all are same. Note: This is a ssl ftp website(https://xxx.xx.xx.com/) Some one please look into this isssue and provide a solution. Thanks SNA

  I am using SubSonic 2.1 and entcountered a problem while executing a Transaction with SharedDbConnectionScope and TransactionScope. The problem is that in the obj.Save() method I get an "The connection must be valid and open" exception I tracked down the problem to this line: // Loads a SubSonic ActiveRecord object User user = new User(User.Columns.Username, "John Doe"); in this Constructor of the User class a method "LoadParam" is called which eventually does if (rdr != null) rdr.Close(); It looks like the rdr.Close() implicitly closes my connection which is fine when using the AutomaticConnection. But during a transaction it is usally not a good idea to close the connection :-) My Question is if this is by design or if it's an error in the MySqlDataReader.

I have been informed by the people supplying the hardware for the unit that I need to create a socket, which I have done successfully, and then dial out to the internet with a PPP connection with a RAS dialer connection. Our old code uses an APN to dial out so I need to create the above connection with an APN. I am having trouble finding examples of this. Can someone point me to some examples of this situation?

  I am creating solution and inside I have three projects: A WCF Service Library Project A DataAccess Project (Class Library) A Web site for hosting WCF service The implementation of the service is on the project # 1, but in order to access the DataBase I use a second project that implements the data access using a class library project. That problem is in order to get data access I need to configure a connection string, but that connection string must be configurable in a production environment, I meant in production I am going to deploy the site, which is a very simple project that contains only a reference WCF Service Library Project then a guy from database department will configure the connection string. In development I have an app.config on the data access project but when I do the release that app.config is embedded on the dll. Any ideas how can we achieve our purpose

  hi, I am developing a class library (C#) that i will use it for my different projects (later). My class library dll will use the connection string /data context of the project which will reference my new dll. How can i do it? Lets say i have a class Library Project named "CLP", and a website project "WP". I can add reference to CLP.dll file but how i will pass a connection string/data context object to that dll? as CLP.dll will access db based on the connection string of the "WP". Not sure my problem is clear or not!

  I want to create a chat client in flash/flex for a chat server,something like a MUD/MOO client but I'm unable to create a persistent connection . I've been using the AS3 Socket class,but I'm getting disconnected from the server side,soon after the connection is made but the client still shows the 'connected' property as true .The server is asynchronous and was written in python using asyncore/asynchat, it works fine with most open source MOO/MUD clients . I tried connecting my program to a simple synchronous echo server,here both read and write worked fine with no disconnections from either side . So my question is how do I make a persistent connection with the server?

  I have created a standalone executable JAR program that needs to send private information over a SSL connection. I was not able to establish the SSL connection using certificates. Was getting this: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path `building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target` So I found some code somewhere that creates a trust manager that does not validate certificate chains: // Create a trust manager that does not validate certificate chains TrustManager[] trustAllCerts = new TrustManager[]{ new X509TrustManager() { public java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] getAcceptedIssuers() { return null; } public void checkClientTrusted( java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) { } public void checkServerTrusted( java.security.cert.X509Certificate[] certs, String authType) { } } }; That did the trick and I was able to establish SSL connection without any certificates. My concern is if the data will still be encrypted when exchanging private information. This is an execute JAR file that clients will be downloading to their computers.   I am working with a commercial application which is throwing a SocketException with the message, An existing connection was forcibly closed by the remote host This happens with a socket connection between client and server. The connection is alive and well, and heaps of data is being transferred, but it then becomes disconnected out of nowhere. Has anybody seen this before? What could the causes be? I can kind of guess a few causes, but also is there any way to add more into this code to work out what the cause could be? Any comments / ideas are welcome. Thanks.

When I run test it launches the browser and then uses the Web.config of the Web Application Project which I am testing. The Web.config of web application project has the Dev connection string which should not be used for testing. What are different ways that I can take and tell my WatiN to use the App.config that is inside the WatiN project and not the Web application project? Here are couple of options that I have: 1) Replace the connection string at runtime. 2) Replace the connection string at pre-build event or something.

• Problems with PHP System_Daemon and IMAP connection.

  I'm trying to create a PHP daemon that connects to an IMAP server and processes emails as they come in. I have it close to working, but the daemon keeps grabbing the original emails that it finds the first time the daemon is loaded. I believe the reason is because I'm opening the IMAP connection in the parent process.   Assume I connect to SQL server 2008 via SQL Server Management Studio ( SSMS ) and open new window W1 by clicking on New Query tab and write the following inside W1: BEGIN TRANSACTION; If I execute this statement 5 times, and then write (inside W1) SELECT @@TRANCOUNT; , then the value returned will be 5. But if I open another window W2 ( inside the same SSMS instance and thus on the same connection ) and write inside W2 SELECT @@TRANCOUNT; then value returned will be 0. @@TRANCOUNT variable returns the number of active transactions for the current connection. Both W1 and W2 windows were opened on the same connection, so shouldn’t ( according to the above quote ) in both W1 and W2 variable @@TRANCOUNT hold the same value? thanx

  Hello, I have a SQL server with 50 databases. Each one has the exact same schema. I used the awesome Subsonic 2.2 create the DAL based on one of them. I need to loop though a list of database names and connect to each one and perform an update one at a time. If there a way to alter how subsonic uses the connection string. I believe I would need to store the connection string in memory that way it can keep changing. Is this possible? I tried doing a ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["theConnStrName"].ConnectionString = updated-connection-string-here; .. but that did not work thanks!

  we have a project in which we have to pick randomly generated numbers from a remote device, say mobile. there is a simple java application to generate numbers. next, we have to recieve those numbers in our matlab program via bluetooth connection with the device. assuming those numbers are temperature readings, we want to recieve a new number after every 10 sec and display the number on our matlab GUI program. the problem is do we implement bluetooth protocol through our programming? or use the matlab templates? because otherwise whenever we want to transfer file from a mobile to computer, we have to manually click "recieve a file" in blutooth wizard , just like we normally do to transfer a file. we want to enable the connection once, and then recieve text files after every 10 seconds to be read in our matlab program. can anyone please tell is it even possible in matlab? if yes, how do we establish such an automatic real time connection?

I have 2 connection strings and each is pointing to their server: con.ConnectionString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["con1"].ConnectionString; con2.ConnectionString = ConfigurationManager.ConnectionStrings["con2"].ConnectionString; How to make this cmd to be workking with 2 different connection strings and with the same name for the table. Table name will change that's why it is saved in config.

• OpenSSL in C++ email client - server closes connection with TLSv1 Alert message

  My app connects to a IMAP email server. One client configured his server to reject SSLv2 certificates, and now my app fails to connect to the server. All other email clients connect to this server successfully. My app uses openssl. I debugged by creating minimal openssl client and attempt to connect to the server. Below is the code with connects to the mail server (using Windows sockets, but same problem is with unix sockets). Server sends its initial IMAP greeting message, but after client sends 1st command, server closes connection. In Wireshark, I see that after sending command to server, it returns TLSv1 error message 21 (Encrypted Alert) and connection is gone. I'm looking for proper setup of OpenSSL for this connection to succeed. • AS3 / Java - Socket Connection from live Flash to local java

  Hey guys, I'm trying to get a live flash that lives on a webserver to talk to a local java server, that will live on the clients PC. I'm trying to achieve this with a socket connection. (port 6000) Now, at first flash was able to connect, but it just sends <policy-file-request/>. After this nothing happens. • SQL server connection trouble in network but not in local

  for the first time that I would work with SQL SERVER 2005, the jdbc connection doesn't work in the network I searched and have done thousand of things that doesn't work, i also want to precise that i already had worked with other DBMS, so here is the problem: when i try to connect by jdbc from the machine where sql server is installed everything work just fine, but when i try from a different machine, the jdbc is unable to create the connection, i already checked that TCP/IP communication is enabled that the port (not dynamically assigned) is 1433 and i even tried with different ports, i also tried with the same driver and different driver, i checked that i was able to communicate with the http server (who is installed in the machine where SQL server is installed) and it works but that jdbc connection can't, i tried thousand of things until i forgot some of them, someone please help

  Hi all, I have a very strange issue with my blackberry application. My application first searches for a blackberry network ( ;interface=wifi , ;deviceside=true , ;deviceside=false" + ";ConnectionUID="+ myRecord.getUid() ) transport and after finding one, it uses it to connect the server application. The issue is that some of my web services consumed by the bb client applicaton does not work when the connection type is wifi. Example: I have a series of web services called one after the other, login , x , y ,z, and logout. The connection transport selected = WIFI Login and LogOfff works fine but x, y and z web services return me an error message. The same series of web services ( Login, x,y,z, Log Out,) works with other connection transports ( eg. ap2trans) . Please help me with this issue as connecting to wifi ( if available ) is important for the application. Pleaes provide even the smallest info in this regad. thanks in advance

• MySQL does not work on localhost without Local Area Connection

  I use WampServer(Apache, PHP, MySQL) and have no problems when some kind of network adapter(wireless or lan) is connected(i-e Local Area Connection has status connected) 'even if i am not connected to the internet'(for example when i am connected to the router but that is not connected to the internet). When there is no network connection, i get a php error like MySQL could not connect to 127.0.0.1 on port 3306. Interestingly, 'telnet 127.0.0.1 3306' says that it could not connect to the port, even when the server and MySQL are running fine(i-e when some kind of local area connection is connected). So i turned off all kinds of firewall(antivirus and windows) but still no difference in anything. And that is why this issue is quite puzzling. Things i have already tried(will update this list along the way):- -The skip-networking directive in my.ini.
