  • How can I emulate forward on 404 in jersey?

    I have a picture on a given URL. The picture might need a referesh. I want to do the freshness-check at the time of the request. Therefore, I coded a jersey resource handling the request on the picture URL. It refreshes the picture on the filesystem if necessary. I do not want to re-code a caching mechansim, but rely on tomcat's implementation. Therefore, I would like to "forward" the request in the internal handler chain. I tried return new Viewable(sb.toString());, but a viewable is not a picture. What return type can I use? I could let the concrete picture reside on another URL and send a 307 (Temporary Redirect).   • Instantaneous frequency not plotting correctly in Matlab

    I'm trying to convert square wave data to instantaneous frequency and plot against time. It works correctly for one data set, but three others are plotting as shown in the image: http://i.imgur.com/iuL648o.png Time is linear, so it shouldn't be plotting like that. Anyone have any ideas as to what's going on?   • Android ImageButton / Custom-Button?

    Hi everyone, I am new to android development. So far I could help myself in all matters by reading threads here on stackoverflow. Now I am stuck and need someones help. Unfortunately I am not allowed to post an image of a screenshot because I am a new mamber, so I try to descripe it. I have a Samsung Galasy S and the clock app that ships with it has an button called "+ Create alarm". I want to create a similar button for my app. I've been experimenting with ImageButton. I do know how to get that "+"-Icon onto an ImageButton, but only centered and without text. I guess this is a custom button. Does anyone know how to do this? Can I do it in xml or do I need to extend the view-class and make it my own view?

  • What are some ways to identify a logged in user on the web?

    Here is the scenario: There are 5 websites (different domain names) that need to share a session. I am using a bit of code on each site which returns a "blank.gif" image and at the same time sets the session (syncing it up to the current session). Each of the sites calls a session-img from each of the other sites. Also, all sites have access to the same database (where the session is stored). This works great on FF and Chrome, but not on IE (or Safari PC)... I need to come up with an alternative method to keep a session active? The app is a small custom CMS, so really only 2-3 people will be using it. I can probably identify user logins by IP and then continue to check for the IP accross all sites... Is there something more granular such as a computer uuid that i can check for?

  • Can anyone explain why this behaviour might be happening in Windows Forms?

    I'm developing a Windows Forms Application. See attached image for the Interface. Now I've put a close button (X) in the Panel(say Panel2) which has Application Constants as label.The first combo box is in another panel(say Panel1). Now when I click on the X button in Panel 2 I want the Panel to be invisible and the combo box text to be blank. Simple enough. So I write Panel2.visible=false; comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; When I click on X, the text in combo box goes blank, then I have to click again for the Panel2 to go invisible. Then I changed the sequence comboBox1.SelectedIndex=-1; Panel2.visible=fasle; and this works smooth. Not sure why this might be happening? Is there anything that I might be doing with my form design/code to have such a behaviour?

  • Load local Html file doesn't refer the js file in UIWebView

    I am working with UIWebView project and I want to load an HTML file from a project resource. It is working fine when I run from the URL, but when I view the HTML file locally, JS files are not loaded. Loading the local HTML local file doesn't refer to js files in UIWebView.     I have a div fading in using fadeTo. It works great in Firefox and IE9. It does not work in IE8.   • Getting normal information from OpenGL render output

    I'll try to keep this simple. I want a way to access the normal information of the scene, from the Frame Buffer output (or similar). The same way one is able to access the Depth Buffer using glGetTexImage and GL_DEPTH_COMPONENT. I know I could set up a fragment shader which outputs the normal information in RGB color space, which could in turn be read from the rendered image. I'm wondering however if there is a way to do this within the openGL API. I'll clarify anything upon request as best as I can, Thank you

  • Adding more OR searches with CONTAINS Brings Query to Crawl

    I have a simple query that relies on two full-text indexed tables, but it runs extremely slow when I have the CONTAINS combined with any additional OR search. As seen in the execution plan, the two full text searches crush the performance. If I query with just 1 of the CONTAINS, or neither, the query is sub-second, but the moment you add OR into the mix the query becomes ill-fated. The two tables are nothing special, they're not overly wide (42 cols in one, 21 in the other; maybe 10 cols are FT indexed in each) or even contain very many records (36k recs in the biggest of the two). I was able to solve the performance by splitting the two CONTAINS searches into their own SELECT queries and then UNION the three together. Is this UNION workaround my only hope? Thanks.     I have an array of GLuint with fixed size: GLuint textures[10]; Now I need to set a size of array dynamically. I wrote something like this: *.h: GLuint *textures; *.m: textures = malloc(N * sizeof(GLuint)); where N - needed size. Then it used like this: glGenTextures(N, &textures[0]); // load texture from image -(GLuint)getTexture:(int)index{ return textures[index]; } I used the answer from here, but program fell in runtime. How to fix this? Program is written on Objective-C and uses OpenGL ES.

    I am currently developing an Android Application for my Final Year Project. But to be honest I do not have any basic knowledges and everything started from scratch and referring to online tutorials a lot. Here is my question, I was trying to retrieve data from listview activity. There are two listview in my page using button. I was able to display the first listview but when it get data for the second listview, the data for first listview is disappeared because the page is refreshed, vice versa.     New to Android need help with one solid build that I can refer to and study for future projects. The first activity is a background image with a button,when clicked the it takes you to the second activity which is a form with 5 data fields and 2 buttons. One button calls an intent to take a picture within the app and one button that submits the data from the form along with the picture to URL. lastly a third activity that says complete thank you. I can make some of this but don't know how to link button or open and merge camera with the app to be sent as a package of data. I suppose I could also hook into GPS acquire location as well as the camera call?

  • Managing multiple blogs (wordpress) from one control panel

    This is the deal: I have more than one blog (not running yet) that I want to install in subfolders for one of my domains. Each blog will obviously have its own look and feel and content. I could just have a set of control panels and administer them individually or I could somehow manage them form a single control panel. Issues I've come across are: Some plugins offer this functionality while suppressing other features like auto draf saving, in-post category and tag creation, image upload etc. I'm not necessarily looking for a ready solution, more like some guidance on how to approach this particular problem in the best possible manner. I'm looking for a fully working scenario, not some plugin that allows me to more or less simulate the one-blog-administration experience.

  • Is it possible to hide the cursor in a webpage using CSS or Javascript?

    I want to hide the cursor when showing a webpage that is meant to display information in a building hall. It doesn't have to be interactive at all. I tried with the cursor property and a transparent cursor image but I didn't make it work. Does anybody know if this can be done? I suppose this can be thought as a security threat for a user that can't know where he is clicking on, so I'm not very optimistic... Thank you!

  • PHP - MySQL - Select runs indefinitely

    I have three tables listings: id, pid, beds, baths, etc, etc, etc, db locations: id, pid, zip, lat, lon, etc, etc, etc, db images id, pid, height, width, raw, etc, etc, db id, pid & db are indexed. db just references the mls provider a particular item came from. in images the raw column holds raw image data there are about 15k rows in listings/locations, and about 120k rows in images so there are multiple rows that have the same pid. when i do "select pid from listings" or "select pid from locations" the query completes successfully in about 100ms. when i do "select pid from images" it just hangs in sqlyog and never completes... i was thinking since the raw column contains alot of information that it might be trying to select that too, but my query doesn't try to select that so I can't imagine why it's taking so long... any idea why this is happening??

  • How to prevent a specific directory from running Php, Html, and Javascript languages?

    Hi, Let's say i have an image uploader script, i want to prevent the upload directory from executing Php or even html by only showing it as plain text, i've seen this trick in many websites but i don't know how they do it. Briefly, if i upload evil.php to that directory, and i try to access it i will only see a plain text source , No html or php is executed. ( but i still want the images to appear normally ofcourse) I know i can do like that by header("content-type:text/plain"); but that's will not be helpful, because what i want, is to set the content-type:text/plain automatically by the server for every thing outputed from the upload directory except images. Note: i'm running php 5.3.2/Cent OS and the latest cPanel. Thanks

  • can you use jquery lazyload on all images (not just ones out of view)

    i have a webpage with a lot of images (photo album). I am using lazyloading jquery plugin which is great to only load the images out of browser view when i scroll down. The one issue i have is that i want the loading icon to show up first on images loading IN the current view as well as some of them are big images and they show up with that bad browser "image not loaded yet" icon until they download. I don't see any property on this plugin to support this for both in view and for scrolling. does anyone know if this is possible?

  • Strange behaviour of Android debugger in Eclipse when using Camera for preview.

    Hi, I have an Android application that uses a SurfaceView subclass and Camera object to preview images before capture. Once I capture an image, I stop the preview and release the camera. Execution stops at any breakpoint after this. However, apart from the "Suspend" and "Terminate" icons, the rest are disabled. This is strange because the "Debug Current Instruction Pointer" is clearly at the said breakpoint and execution is already suspended. I can't perform any debugging operations and have no option but to terminate the session. Sometimes (very rarely), the session terminates by itself. I can confirm that this odd behavior takes place only after I preview the camera capture. I am fairly new to Android development. Is there some obvious mistake I am making? Any help would be highly appreciated.
