• WordPress contact form email as PDF

  I am using the below code for my WordPress site which is emailing all the form details as an HTML text but I need the details to be written into a PDF first and then have to email the PDF as an attachment. How can I achieve this? This is not a PHP code to use PHP's writePDF modules. • Browser freeze while ajax call in action

  I have a ASP.NET Web App. I notice that while a simple ajax call(see below) is in process, web application does not respond to any action that I try on a different browser. $.ajax({ type: "GET", async: true, url: "someurl", dataType: "text", cache: false, success: function(msg){ CheckResponse(msg); } }); This happens when I open two firefox or two IE. I run the function that does the ajax call on first browser and till the response of the ajax is returned, I cannot do anything on the second browser on the same site. No breakpoints are hit on the server from the second browser till initial ajax is completed. It hangs for any click etc.. The hang on the second browser ends immediately after the ajax call is completed on the first one. This behavior is not observed if I try the same on IE and Firefox side by side. Only happen with IE & IE or FF & FF side by side Appreciate if you can help me see what I am missing here.

But when I return any other JSON object, the call fails. The dataFilter handler shows that I am receiving a correct object. Firebug shows the response as expected, and the JSON tab shows that the object is parsed correctly. So what could be the cause?

• ios 4.1 doesn't call Phonegap API

  I'm working on a cross platform app for Android 2.2 and iOS 4.1 (dev devices). On Android everything works fine (accelerometer and geolocation) even if it's a little laggy. On iOS it's way more smooth, but he doesn't call the Phonegap functions.   Just ran into a problem I know these integers, $integers: 3,5,15,20 I only want to select the rows from this following table where all comma separated INT's from the field NUMBERS are found. TABLE: number_table Uid Numbers ------------------------ 1 3,5,15 OK, since all of NUMBERS are in $integers 2 5,15,20 OK, since all of NUMBERS are in $integers 3 3,4,5,15 NOT OK, since 4 is not found in $integers 4 2,15,20,25 NOT OK, since 2 and 25 is not found in $integers Is it possible to to a "for-each" on a comma separated string or another way to do this SELECT?

  Hi, I'm writing a very simple testing framework for my application, the design isn't perfect, but I don't have time to write something more complex. Essentially, I have a client and server-application, on my server I want a small python web server to start the server application with given test sequences on a GET or POST call. Also, the application prints some testdata to stderr which I'd like to catch and return in another HTTP call. However, the 'started' appears in my shell immediately (I added this because I thought the Popen call would only return after execution). I do not know the perfect inner workings of Popen and BaseHTTPRequestHandler however and do not really know where it goes wrong. Is there any way to make this work asynchronously?

  Hi Guys, I have a stock table and I would like to create a report that will show how often were items ordered. "stock" table: item_id | pcs | operation apples | 100 | order oranges | 50 | order apples | -100 | delivery pears | 100 | order oranges | -40 | delivery apples | 50 | order apples | 50 | delivery Basically I need to join these two queries together. A query which prints stock balances: SELECT stock.item_id, Sum(stock.pcs) AS stock_balance FROM stock GROUP BY stock.item_id; A query which prints sales statistics SELECT stock.item_id, Sum(stock.pcs) AS pcs_ordered, Count(stock.item_id) AS number_of_orders FROM stock GROUP BY stock.item_id, stock.operation HAVING stock.operation="order"; I think that some sort of JOIN would do the job but I have no idea how to glue queries together. Desired output: item_id | stock_balance | pcs_ordered | number_of_orders apples | 0 | 150 | 2 oranges | 10 | 50 | 1 pears | 100 | 100 | 1 This is just example. Maybe, I will need to add more conditions because there is more columns. Is there a universal technique of combining multiple queries together?

• How to perform Linq select new with datetime in SQL 2008

  In our C# code I recently changed a line from inside a linq-to-sql select new query as follows: OrderDate = (p.OrderDate.HasValue ? p.OrderDate.Value.Year.ToString() + "-" + p.OrderDate.Value.Month.ToString() + "-" + p.OrderDate.Value.Day.ToString() : "") To: OrderDate = (p.OrderDate.HasValue ? p.OrderDate.Value.ToString("yyyy-mm-dd") : "") The change makes the line smaller and cleaner. It also works fine with our SQL 2008 database in our development environment. However, when the code deployed to our production environment which uses SQL 2005 I received an exception stating: Nullable Type must have a value. For further analysis I copied (p.OrderDate.HasValue ? p.OrderDate.Value.ToString("yyyy-mm-dd") : "") into a string (outside of a Linq statement) and had no problems at all, so it only causes an in issue inside my Linq. Is this problem just something to do with SQL 2005 using different date formats than from SQL 2008? Here's more of the Linq: dt = FilteredOrders.Where(x => x != null).Select(p => new { Order = p.OrderId, link = "/order/" + p.OrderId.ToString(), StudentId = (p.PersonId.HasValue ? p.PersonId.Value : 0), FirstName = p.IdentifierAccount.Person.FirstName, LastName = p.IdentifierAccount.Person.LastName, DeliverBy = p.DeliverBy, OrderDate = p.OrderDate.HasValue ? p.OrderDate.Value.Date.ToString("yyyy-mm-dd") : ""}).ToDataTable(); This is selecting from a List of Order objects. The FilteredOrders list is from another linq-to-sql query and I call .AsEnumerable on it before giving it to this particular select new query.   Hi all, first post here, I come in peace :) I've searched but can't quite find what I'm after. I am trying to manipulate the selected option of a select box. Can someone please explain why this works: $('#some_select_box').click(function() { $('#some_select_box option:selected').remove(); }); but this doesn't: $('#some_select_box').click(function() { $('this option:selected').remove(); }); I just want to use "this" instead of spelling out the id of the select box - can someone point me in the right direction for the correct syntax? It's driving me mad because it looks like it should be really simple. And I'm sure it is to someone, but not me, cos its the end of the day and I'm brain-fried... Any pointers much appreciated.   Hi, I wish to extract just the first 1024 bytes of a stored blob and not the whole file. The reason for this is I want to just extract the metadata from a file as quickly as possible without having to select the whole blob. I understand the following: select dbms_lob.substr(file_blob, 16,1) from file_upload where file_upload_id=504; which returns it as hex. How may I do this so it returns it in binary data without selecting the whole blob? Thanks in advance.

• Python: Catching / blocking SIGINT during system call

  I've written a web crawler that I'd like to be able to stop via the keyboard. I don't want the program to die when I interrupt it; it needs to flush its data to disk first. I also don't want to catch KeyboardInterruptedException, because the persistent data could be in an inconsistent state. My current solution is to define a signal handler that catches SIGINT and sets a flag; each iteration of the main loop checks this flag before processing the next url. However, I've found that if the system happens to be executing socket.recv() when I send the interrupt, I get this: ^C Interrupted; stopping... // indicates my interrupt handler ran Traceback (most recent call last): File "crawler_test.py", line 154, in <module> main() ... File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/socket.py", line 397, in readline data = recv(1) socket.error: [Errno 4] Interrupted system call and the process exits completely. Why does this happen? Is there a way I can prevent the interrupt from affecting the system call?

As far as I understood from the API documentations, unless I call Dispose() there is no guaranty it will be garbage collected! So where and how do I do it? • Catching / blocking SIGINT during system call

  I've written a web crawler that I'd like to be able to stop via the keyboard. I don't want the program to die when I interrupt it; it needs to flush its data to disk first. I also don't want to catch KeyboardInterruptedException, because the persistent data could be in an inconsistent state. My current solution is to define a signal handler that catches SIGINT and sets a flag; each iteration of the main loop checks this flag before processing the next url. However, I've found that if the system happens to be executing socket.recv() when I send the interrupt, I get this: ^C Interrupted; stopping... // indicates my interrupt handler ran Traceback (most recent call last): File "crawler_test.py", line 154, in <module> main() ... File "/Library/Frameworks/Python.framework/Versions/2.6/lib/python2.6/socket.py", line 397, in readline data = recv(1) socket.error: [Errno 4] Interrupted system call and the process exits completely. • Identify server that made call to web service

  I am working within an intranet environment. We have both a production and development sharepoint server (WSS 3). We have a 3rd party workflow product which runs on top of sharepoint. It is installed on both the production and development sharepoint servers. The workflow product can call web services I have written which are hosted on our web server. How would I have the web services determine which sharepoint server made the call to the web service, be it the production or development server? I would then use this information to server specific information from web.config or database etc. Currently the site hosting web services is setup to allow anonymous access so code such as System.Web.HttpContext.Current.User.Identity.Name; returns and empty string. If windows authenticaion is used it returns the identity of the currently logged in user, which is no user in identifying the server the call was made from. I need a push in the right direction to address what I believe is probably a common scenario please.

  I am planning on developing my specific voip app for android. Here's the scenario: when a phone call occurs I want to hear the person who's calling on my local pc speakers and I want to speak to him via my own pc microphone / headset. So I need to send the audio stream of both me and the person I am talking to via the wlan network. So, when a datapoint is clicked, an ajax call is made and the result is used to replace the current div. After this i need to bind the div to a new event. I tried to call bind, but it is still bound to old callback. • Optimizing an embedded SELECT query in mySQL

  Ok, here's a query that I am running right now on a table that has 45,000 records and is 65MB in size... and is just about to get bigger and bigger (so I gotta think of the future performance as well here): SELECT count(payment_id) as signup_count, sum(amount) as signup_amount FROM payments p WHERE tm_completed BETWEEN '2009-05-01' AND '2009-05-30' AND completed > 0 AND tm_completed IS NOT NULL AND member_id NOT IN (SELECT p2.member_id FROM payments p2 WHERE p2.completed=1 AND p2.tm_completed < '2009-05-01' AND p2.tm_completed IS NOT NULL GROUP BY p2.member_id) And as you might or might not imagine - it chokes the mysql server to a standstill... What it does is - it simply pulls the number of new users who signed up, have at least one "completed" payment, tm_completed is not empty (as it is only populated for completed payments), and (the embedded Select) that member has never had a "completed" payment before - meaning he's a new member (just because the system does rebills and whatnot, and this is the only way to sort of differentiate between an existing member who just got rebilled and a new member who got billed for the first time). Now, is there any possible way to optimize this query to use less resources or something, and to stop taking my mysql resources down on their knees...? Am I missing any info to clarify this any further? Let me know...   The requirement says: stored procedure meant to search data, based on 5 identifiers. If there is an exact match return ONLY the exact match, if not but there is an exact match on the not null parameters return ONLY these results, otherwise return any match on any 4 not null parameters... and so on My (simplified) code looks like: create procedure xxxSearch @a nvarchar(80), @b nvarchar(80)... as begin select whatever from MyTable t where ((@a is null and t.a is null) or (@a = t.a)) and ((@b is null and t.b is null) or (@b = t.b))... if @@ROWCOUNT = 0 begin select whatever from MyTable t where ((@a is null) or (@a = t.a)) and ((@b is null) or (@b = t.b))... if @@ROWCOUNT = 0 begin ... end end end As a result there can be more sets of results selected, the first ones empty and I only need the last one. I know that it is easy to get the only the last result set on the application side, but all our stored procedure calls go through a framework that expects the significant results in the first table and I'm not eager to change it and test all the existing SPs. Is there a way to return only the last select results from a stored procedure? Is there a better way to do this task ?
