<noscript> not working in Opera 11?

I am testing my noscript tags which display content when javascript is disabled, this works in Safari, Chrome, Firefox, Camino, IE6, IE7, IE8, IE9, basically everything but Opera (I'm running version 11, not sure if its isolated to that version). In Opera 11 nothing is displayed... is the noscript tag not supported? and what is the alternative? TextBox loses text when InvokeRequired == false

This is modified code I found on this site. When appending text to a TextBox and InvoveRequired is false the text will display in the box but the next time the function is called and InvokeRequired is true the text string placed by the first call is lost (""). Multiple calls when InvokeRequired is true work as expected. comBox is a type TextBox with multline = true. Why does the last row of my tableview not align to the bottom of the screen

I have a view which consists of a tableview and a navigation bar. For my tableview I have implemented a 'Load more' row which will load current + pagesize every time it is clicked The way the loading works is very simple, every time it is clicked I just request the amount of rows I want to display e.g. 5, 10, 15 and so on. This request populates an array and I call [self.tableView reloadData] The issue I am experiencing is that when I go to the tableview the first time, it correctly loads and displays the tableview. However, if I 'Load more' it returns the correct amount and displays the correct number of cells but the last cell will not fit properly at the bottom of the screen, about 1/2 of it (or roughly the size of the navigation bar of the cell) appears below the bottom of the screen. I thought it was sufficient to just tell the tableview to reload itself. Do I need to use [self.tableView insertRowsAtIndexPaths ...] to do this.

It should be something like.... 1 2 next line 3 4 5 next line 2 3 4 5 next line 5 next line 4 5 7 I am able to create 2d array in above manner but how to display content of array continously create a problem for me. Does my basic PHP Socket Server need optimization?

Like many people, I can do a lot of things with PHP. One problem I do face constantly is that other people can do it much cleaner, much more organized and much more structured. This also results in much faster execution times and much less bugs. I just finished writing a basic PHP Socket Server (the real core), and am asking you if you can tell me what I should do different before I start expanding the core. I'm not asking about improvements such as encrypted data, authentication or multi-threading. I'm more wondering about questions like "should I maybe do it in a more object oriented way (using PHP5)?", or "is the general structure of the way the script works good, or should some things be done different?". Basically, "is this how the core of a socket server should work?" In fact, I think that if I just show you the code here many of you will immediately see room for improvements. jQuery Thickbox or similar to show iFrame?

I have been looking at jQUery thickbox for showing modal dialogs with images, it is great. But now I have the need to display a hidden div of content that contains an iFrame in a similar fashion, with a link to open the content. So I'd have something like this. <a href="">Open window in Modal Dialog</a> <div id="myContent"> <h1>Look at me!</h1> <iframe src="http://www.google.com" /> </div> And need to show it in the dialog. Inserting new argument to table through search form of another table

In my database I have a form for searching products (fields : id, name, manufacturer_id[set to display manufacturer's name], category_id, price). I would like to have the ability of adding manufacturers through this form. So I've created vba script but it does not work. Still when I enter new name it gives me prompt to "Select element from the list". What am I doing wrong ? How do I create a point system in a Rails/Twitter app that assigns points to users and non-authentic

I'm building a question and answer application on top of twitter and I'm hitting some snags because I'm inevitably dealing with two classes of users: authenticated and non-authenticated. The site enable users to give points to other users, who may or may not be authenticated, and I want to create a site-wide point system where the application stores and displays this information on their profile. I want to save this point data to the user because that would be faster and more efficient but non-authenticated users aren't in our system, we only have the twitter handle. So instead we display the points in our system like this: @points = point.all( :select => "tag, count(*) AS count", # Return tag and count :group => 'tag', # Group by the tag :order => "2 desc", :conditions => {:twitter_handle => params[:username]}) Is there a better way to do this? Is there a better way to associate data with non-authenticated users?

JQuery.ready is too late: How do I apply CSS Values with JQuery before Rendering?

I want to be able to apply opacity to some elements to make them invisible only if javascript is enabled. I don't want to use display:none because I want the layout to act as if they're in the DOM, so setting opacity to 0 is perfect. I want to be able to set this initial value using Javascript, using JQuery, so I don't have to mess with browser differences on the opacity (and many other) attributes. But if I set opacity to 0 like so: $(document).ready(function() { $("#header").css("opacity", 0); $("#header").animate({opacity:1}, 500); }); ...half the time it's already visible on the screen, so it appears and disappears. How do I set these css values using JQuery before they ever can render?

Displaying a "Loading..." screen in a UITableView like the AppStore App...

the App Store app and fairly a lot many apps display a view that says "Loading.." while the content is being retrieved. How can we do this? Should I remove the UITableView and call addSubView and then once the data is available, add the tableview back? Or is there any other shortcut? Html + Css: How to create a auto-resizing rotated background?

Hi, image a complete black web page. On this web page is a 100% size white div that fills the whole page. I'd like to rotate this div by -7 degrees (or 7 degrees counter-clock wise). This will result in the black background being visible in triangles on the edges, just like you had placed a piece of paper on a desk and turned it a bit to the left. Actually this can be done with some css and it's working quite well (except for IE). The real problem now is: I'd like to have a normal, non-rotated div element on top of that to display the content in, so that only the background is rotated. Rotating a contained div counterwise doesn't work though, because through the two transformations the text will be blurry in all browsers. How can I realize that? Best would be a solution workiing in current Webkit browsers, FF3.5+ and IE7+. If only IE8+ I could live with that too.

How to control a webView

Hi, In one of my xml layouts I use an webview (besides other TextViews) for which I call loadUrl("myURL") to display the content from a url. The desired effect is to have displayed in a screen all the other textViews , and below them the content of web page. However when the webview loads the URL , it starts a new activity and displays the content in that activity, which is not what I need. Any ideas on how I could force the described behavior ? Later edit: I have succeed to have layout with several views mixed, one of them being the webview .Also I have succeed to obtain the described above behavior. But only after I setted a WebView client with setWebViewClient(WebViewClient); . Now I'd like to know why does it work like this only after a webViewClient is set ?

Problem with JPopupMenu in a JTree

Hi guys I have this issue. In a custom JTree I implemented a JPopupMenu to display different JMenuItem according to the node selected using a MouseListener. The JPopupMenu is shown when the mouse right button is clicked. The problem is that if I don’t choose an Item from the PopupMenu but instead I select another node in the tree, either with right or left buttons, this event is never caught by the tree MouseListener Could anyone point me in the right direction to solve this? In case an example is available I’ll appreciate it. Thanks.
