• How to make a structure map powered viewengine in asp.net mvc

  My views extend a base view class ive made: public class BaseView : ViewPage At the moment im calling ObjectFactory.GetInstance inside this class' constructor to get some interface implementations but id like to use structuremap to inject them as constructor arguments. Im using a structuremapcontrollerfactory to create my controllers, but how can i do the same for views? I know i can implement a custom ViewEngine, but using reflector to look at the mvc default viewengine and its dependencies, it seems to go on and on and i'd rather not have to re-implement stuff thats already there. Has anyone got a cunning idea how to solve this? I know i could make things easier with setter instead of constructor injection but id rather avoid that if possible.

That seems to be taking it to the extreme to me, so if I'm right as I am, what is the real-world meaning of the "one assert per test" advice?

Im creating customizable product attributes in a web store - each attribute can have different type of data, each data type is stored in a separate column using corresponding mysql datatype. • FLex MouseEvent doesn't fire when Mouse stays over element

  Hi, i'm trying to make a scrollable box, when a mouse enters and STAYS on "wrapper"'s area, "pubsBox" moves 10 pixels to the left. <mx:Canvas id="wrapper" height="80" width="750"> <mx:HBox id="pubsBox" horizontalGap="10" height="80" width="100%" /> </mx:Canvas> My problem is that I'm not sure how to make the MouseEvent.MOUSE_OVER work, to recognize that the mouse is still ON the area and so pubsBox should continue to move 10 pixels to the left every second. I understand that i have to use a Timer, but what I'm concerned about is the fact that I can't get Flex to recognize that the mouse is still OVER "wrapper" and continue firing the event. Any ideas?

The problem is that, on display there is only one OPTION in the SELECT and the rest of the order's publicId s are displayed as normal text below the SELECT box and not an OPTION to select. I found out that the publicId actually contains a String like A10/0001/0 and that is the character "/" is most probably causing the problem. Any solutions/suggestion/ideas?

• Adding unique objects to Core Data

  I'm working on an iPhone app that gets a number of objects from a database. I'd like to store these using Core Data, but I'm having problems with my relationships. A Detail contains any number of POIs (points of interest). When I fetch a set of POI's from the server, they contain a detail ID. In order to associate the POI with the Detail (by ID), my process is as follows: Query the ManagedObjectContext for the detailID. If that detail exists, add the poi to it. If it doesn't, create the detail (it has other properties that will be populated lazily). The problem with this is performance. Performing constant queries to Core Data is slow, to the point where adding a list of 150 POI's takes a minute thanks to the multiple relationships involved. In my old model, before Core Data (various NSDictionary cache objects) this process was super fast (look up a key in a dictionary, then create it if it doesn't exist) I have more relationships than just this one, but pretty much every one has to do this check (some are many to many, and they have a real problem). Does anyone have any suggestions for how I can help this? I could perform fewer queries (by searching for a number of different ID's), but I'm not sure how much this will help.   I have been working with an existing website out company has running until I finish developing the new site. I've been asked to add some additional functionality to booking pages that will automatically set a booking button based on passed parameters. The existing working regex is as follows: RewriteRule ^.+-(\d+)\.accommodation$ property_detail.php?id=$1 Which works fine with the url like below and passes through the URL. this-is-the-property-name.1234.accomodation However as a quick shiv, I am trying to do the following: this-is-the-property-name.1234.accomodation?override=true&start_date=2010-05-14&numbernights=2&sleeps=10&price=1012 The regex I came up with for this was: RewriteRule ^.+-(\d+)\.accommodation\?override=(\w+)&start_date=(19|20)[0-9]{2}[- /.](0[1-9]|1[012])[- /.](0[1-9]|[12][0-9]|3[01])&numbernights=(\d+)&sleeps=(\d+)&price=(\d+)$ property_detail.php?id=$1&override=$2&start_date=$3-$4-$5&numbernights=$6&sleeps=$7&price=$8 The regex is passing as valid in RegexBuddy - however it keeps causing a 500 error on the server. Can anyone help me get my head around this one?

  So, lets say you have two SQL Server Databases on the same server that reference each others tables in their Views, Functions and Stored Procedures. You know, things like this: use database_foo create view spaghetti as select f.col1, c.col2 from fusilli f inner join database_bar.dbo.conchigli c on f.id = c.id (I know that cross-database views are not very good practice, but lets just say you're stuck with it) Are there any good techniques to avoid 'hard coding' the database names? (So that should you need to occasionally re-point to a different database - for testing perhaps - you don't need to edit loads of views, fns, sps) I'm interested in SQL 2005 or SQL 2008 solutions.   My engine is Aspx. How can I decode/encode the html tags that is in my text box. I have the html tag to make it more readable.   I am getting still over and over again this error, the column age has the type integer, I am saving into this column integer-value, I also tried to don't save nothing into this column, but still getting this error... Could anyone help me, how to fix that? • Protecting Data Feed for iPhone App

  I am creating an App that pulls data from a file on my server. That file gets data from my database, based on GET values that are passed through the URL. I would like to keep this feed closed - that is, I don't want people finding the datasource and reading the data on their own. I considered sending an alphanumeric id along with the url string, but if they can find the URL that I am calling, then there won't be anything preventing them from grabbing that alphanumeric id also. I am looking for any ideas or experiences that might help me here. Thanks.
