    Greetings, Can anyone tell me how the heck I'm meant to use a maven repository or whatever the term is with a project? I've downloaded the OAuth library from Google. I run mvn compile, test, install, deploy I want to know where the Jar goes so I can just put it into my class path. Any help appreciated!

    It is interesting that some languages do not use semicolons and braces, even though their predecessors had them. Personally, it makes me nervous to write code in Python because of this. Semicolons are also missing from Google's GO language, although the lexer uses a rule to insert semicolons automatically as it scans. Why do some languages not use semicolons and braces?

  • Web application starter kit

    I am looking for a site that allows you to input a project name, choose a doctype, a js library etc. and then generates the directory structure and files to start a web project. I know about project deploy, but it is no longer maintained. There was a new one that was created within the last 2 or 3 months, but for the life of me I can't find it either through Google nor my delicious bookmarks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.   • Get email address from OpenId using Jboss/Seam

    I'm using the org.jboss.seam.security.openid.OpenId class to login user's to my seam webapp. Currently I'm saving the validatedId (openid.getValidatedId()) into the database, and asking the user to provide their own email address and first and last name after logging in. I'm using Google, Yahoo, AOL, and MyOpenID for the openId Providers. Is there any way to retrieve the email address and or first/last name of the user without having them enter this in manually?

  • Generate 2D cross-section polygon from 3D mesh

    I'm writing a game which uses 3D models to draw a scene (top-down orthographic projection), but a 2D physics engine to calculate response to collisions, etc. I have a few 3D assets for which I'd like to be able to automatically generate a hitbox by 'slicing' the 3D mesh with the X-Y plane and creating a polygon from the resultant edges. Google is failing me on this one (and not much helpful material on SO either). Suggestions?

    I am using UIWebView as a web browser on my application and when I open an url with my browser and return back to the main view, then go to browser view, my webview doesn't save the content. So, if I go to google.com and switch views, then again go to the browser view, I have to type the url again to open the webpage! How can I save the web browser's content?

  • Error when restoring SSAS cube: MemberKeyesUnique element at line xxx cannot appear under (...)/Hier

    Hi, I'm getting this error when trying to restore an SSAS database from a backup: The ddl2:MemberKeysUnique element at line 63, column 4862 (namespace http://schemas.microsoft.com/analysisservices/2003/engine/2) cannot appear under Load/ObjectDefinition/Dimension/Hierarchies/Hierarchy. Google hasn't turned up any helpful solutions. (a lot of people found that installing SP2 made the error go away but this has always previously worked in our environment) I don't really understand what the error means. Can somebody interpret or suggest a fix? Thanks, Phil

    I was re-reading Joel's Strategy Letter II: Chicken and Egg problems and came across this fun quote: In fact, WordStar was ported to DOS by changing one single byte in the code. (Real Programmers can tell you what that byte was, I've long since forgotten). I couldn't find any other references to this with a quick Google search. Is this true or just a figure of speech?     Talking about javax.crypto.Cipher; I was trying to encrypt data using Cipher.getInstance("RSA/None/NoPadding", "BC"); but I got the exception: ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException: too much data for RSA block Looks like is something related to the "NoPadding", so, reading about padding, looks like CBC is the best approach to use here. I found at google something about "RSA/CBC/PKCS#7", what is this "PKCS#7"? And why its not listed on sun's standard algorithm names?
