• LazyTable Listview in Android?

  how to achieve the lazy table concepts which is in iphone. that is the listview with the custom adapter that contains imageview as icon and textview as three rows. when scroll the listview it stacked up to scroll. i want to make it easy. the image content should load only the visible part of the list view. how to do that? • Can't start the Windows Phone Emulator

  When I try run/debug an app in the emulator I get this error: And in Visual Studio's Error List console it simply says: 0x80131500 I haven't worked on this project for about a week, but it was working then. I checked the BIOS and everything is enabled (as it was last week). I don't think this is related, but yesterday, I did upgrade my system SSD and used the Samsung Data Migration Tool to clone my drive. I've tried repairing the Windows Phone SDK 8.0, but that didn't help. Are there any other things I can try? I really don't think it's related to the SSD. Hyper-V related services: I can't start any of these either.

• Using web view behind a proxy (cocoa)

  Hi, I'm creating a web-browser type app (using a web view object) that needs to be able to connect to the internet via a proxy. Server, port, username and password can all be hardcoded into the app but unfortunately I have no idea how to customise the proxy settings of a web view without changing the system wide proxy settings. If you know how to do this please provide some example code, thanks a lot! (Also, if it changes anything - I'm developing for mac, not iPhone)

  I'm creating an in-app store for a few built-in features for my iphone app. Apple's documention recommends using the Application Preferences for storing this, but another question in this forum suggested using NSUserDefaults for another task for which Application Preferences was recommended (by Apple). Can someone clarify if, for in-app store purchases, using the NSUserDefaults is a much better way to go? Thanks.

• Best linux distro for cuda development

  Can someone suggest the best linux distro for CUDA development. The reason why I'm asking is that I tried installing the latest cuda SDK in Fedora 12, and it was a real pain in the neck. It took me 8 hours to get the nouveau driver removed and the nvidia-driver installed. After that somehow the OS decides to act up and blow up the /var/log/message file to 9 GB and eat up all my remaining space, with strange errors. I don't even understand what happened further, but my Nvidia drives don't work anymore. Please don't flame me, I'm NOT a windows fanboy or anything. I've been using Linux since 2002, and actually like it. Its just my personal experience. Would be really helpful for positive suggestions. Fanboys, please stay aside. Thanks in advance.

• How do I run AWS code on an EC2 instance?

  I just started with Amazon web services, and I have an EC2 instance. I downloaded the JAVA SDK and the Eclipse toolbox. I am able to run a sample program locally on my PC and connect to the Amazon databases, etc. My question is, what do I need to do to get this working on my EC2 instance? This may not even be specific to AWS. On Eclipse, I can just "Run as Application" and run any code. On the server side, what do I need to do? Should I ftp over my .java files? Should I export it to a jar and upload that? Do I need to install anything special to actually run it?

• Which dbghelp.dll do I use for debugging?

  I'm trying to configure symbols in Process Explorer. I have the Windows SDK installed (and thus, Debugging Tools). However, there are two versions of dbghelp.dll -- x86 and x64. Which one do I use? Other sources on the net say to just point to the dbghelp.dll that's in the base directory of the Debugging Tools. But there's no such dbghelp.dll -- they're in their respect 32 and 64 bit folders (i.e., C:\Program Files (x86)\Windows Kits\8.0\Debuggers\x64). I'm using a Windows 7 x64 operating system, so does that mean I should load the x64 .dll? Or is it a matter of what I'm debugging? If it is a matter of what I'm debugging, does that mean that I have to switch this .dll depending what process I want to get symbol information on in Process Explorer?

When I try it on an LG renoir instead of the page fitting the width of the screen the page displays at least twice as wide as it should meaning you can scroll left and right.   I run vmrun.exe with listProcessesInGuest on the command line and get the list of processes displayed in the console window. The exact command line is: "C:\VIX\vmrun.exe" -T vc -h "https://myserver/sdk" -u "mydomain\myuser" -p 123 -gu Administrator -gp 123 listProcessesInGuest "[Storage1] QA-W-7-SP1-64-0/QA-W-7-SP1-64-0.vmx" It works fine. Now I wish to redirect the output, however, neither 2> nor 1> work! The former has no effect - the output is still displayed in the console window, so I conclude it is send to stdout. But the latter does not work too - now nothing is displayed in the console window, but the redirection file is empty! It is created all right, but it has the zero size! Can someone explain what is going on?

It got me thinking about how the iPad is going to be classified, as a mobile platform or a desktop platform, or is it going to spark a new category. Since it runs iPhone OS, it could be considered a mobile device, but I have a hard time with that because of the screen size. What should iPad be classified as: Mobile, Desktop, or Other (Try to come up with a good name for Other)?
