  • Can't Run .exe files from my DVD-R/W Rom win XP Pro

    Hi everybody In my windows XP Pro I can't run any .exe file from my DVD Rom, but I can run them on my hard drive, Even I can't copy anything from a DVD to my hard drive. and when I run .exe file there is some prompt message like "setup.exe is not a valid win32 application" or something like that. I would really appreciate if anyone can help

    Hi there, compiling mod_spnego (http://sourceforge.net/projects/modgssapache/) for Windows seems to be relatively easy compared to mod_auth_kerb. But still, I don't seem to make it.     Hi - Running the install.sh script as-is from Virtualmin (GPL version), I get a dovecot error after about 5.5mins of installation. I have tried this on several versions of the server - same error whether or not I run apt-get update +/- apt-get upgrade .... and whether or not I have the FQDN set.   • Debugging Windows 2008 (Roaming Profile) user logon

    Hi, I would appreciate some help debugging my windows 2008 profile service. Any domain account that logs on to my 2008 machine gets a +- 20 second waiting time on "user profile service" I am using roaming profiles, they are around 8mb in size, and most folders are already redirected to a network share. event log registers no errors, there is more than 1 network card installed, but I have the correct card listed as "primary" Is there any way to increase verbosity of logging on specifically the "user profile service" ?   • Login box not shown on Ubuntu

    Hi, I've installed Ubuntu 10.04 (64bit) as a guest OS in VirtualBox, using Windows7 Professional (64bit) as host. After Ubuntu install, I did installed Xfce4 (sudo apt-get install xfce4). Logged in using a Xfce session, and when I logged out, I couldn't see the login box anymore, only the regular gnome background from login screen. Then I restarted the virtual machine, and now I'm not able to see the login box anymore, only the gnome background. Does someone knows how to solve this? Thanks in advance

  • Drobo Pros won't mount via iSCSI

    Hi guys, I've got an Xserve where I've configured a Drobo Pro. Connected via firewire and USB, it works fine, but when connected to a separate network port, it doesn't mount. I've got the Drobo Pro configured to 2.0.1.2/255.255.0.0 and the network port to 2.0.0.1/255.255.0.0. I can ping the IP of the Drobo Pro just fine. I've installed Drobo Dashboard 1.6.8. Cheers Nik

    Hi all, Please redirect me if there is a similar question, but I have an ECS P4VXASD2+ (V5.0) motherboard, which supports a 533 MHz FSB. I want to put in a Pentium 4 3.2 GHz processor (Socket 478) with an FSB of 800 MHz. Would this be possible? Would the FSB of the processor just be limited to 533 MHz? Thanks in advance.

  • Copy files in Linux, avoid the copy if files do exist in destination

    Hi, I need to copy a /home/user folder from one hardisk to another one. It has 100000 files and around 10G size. I use cp -r /origin /destination sometines I get some errors due to broken links, permissions and so on. So I fix the error, and need to start again the copy. I wonder how could I tell the command "cp", once it tries to copy again, not to copy files again if they exist in the destination folder. Thanks
