iPhone app rejected because of Beta word is used

Hi, I was using the text "We are currently on Beta. Please, enter our website and ask for an invitation" when a user click on "Register" on our app. However, Apple has rejected our app because it can not has any disabled featured and can not contains word "Beta". What would you do in this situation? I don't know if hide this option and show it only when an API call response says "registerEnabled = YES" or just change the text and use: "You need and invitation to access OUR_APP. When you move your mouse over there small text shows up that says: Napredna pretraga Now, for some reason those letters change color to like yellow for very short period of time in ff 3.5 and to some strange color in safari 4.0.2 for win. In ie8, opera and chrome it works just the way it should, white letters stay white during the animation. Looking to create a menu toggle that switches between two possible arrays for a spinner. For example, if the spinner is set to show array A, then when I press this menu button, I want the spinner to be set to array B. If I press it again, I want it to be set back to array A. I can handle the if/then statements and all, but how do I call the spinner's array adapter? I know how to call its value using getSelectedItemPosition(); but is there a similar method for retrieving WHICH array it is currently set to?

Hello I am about to create my first proper application in ASP.NET MVC3. It is basically a jobs site with 3 levels: 1) Users - No registration and can view all jobs posted on the website 2) Posters - Need to register and login to post adverts 3) Admin - Need to register and login to post adverts and review postings before they go live Would you suggest I use the same Jobs controller for the three levels I mention above? With a LIST action to show jobs to "Users" and a CREATE & EDIT action for the "Posters" & "Admin"? Thanks Paul

So I have a uipicker view, that I have managed to load some data from my db into. I would like to update a textview, which is right above the pickerview, with each changing of the row. Is that possible? If I don't have to, I would like to avoid pushing a button in order to show the respective text. Can I make it so that the value in the text field changes with the value of the rowselected in the pickerview, in real time? Any thoughts or code snippets would be appreciated. Thanks!

TFS and team project portal question

The team explorer for my project looks like this: mytfsserver\mycollection -- Project 1 solution -- Project 2 solution -- Project 3 solution When I right click on one of the solutions and do a "Show Project Portal", I see the following hierarchy: mycollection - WSS site Project 1 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Project 2 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Project 3 site with dashboard (appears to be a MOSS site) Are the dashboard sites MOSS sites? If I want to create a wiki, do I have to create a subsite with the wiki template under each of the Project sites? Can someone point me to a document/video that talks about the sites that area created by TFS by default?

Rewinding std::cout to go back to the beginning of a line

I'm writing a command-line tool for Mac OS X that processes a bunch of files. I would like to show the user the current file being processed, but do not want a bazillion files polluting the terminal window. Instead I would like to use a single line to output the file path, then reuse that line for the next file. Is there a character (or some other code) to output to std::cout to accomplish this? Also, if I wanted to re-target this tool for Windows, would the solution be the same for both platforms?

Huge file in Clojure and Java heap space error

I posted before on a huge XML file - it's a 287GB XML with Wikipedia dump I want ot put into CSV file (revisions authors and timestamps). I managed to do that till some point. Before I got the StackOverflow Error, but now after solving the first problem I get: java.lang.OutOfMemoryError: Java heap space error. I am doing a query that converts rows to columns similar to this post but have encountered a performance problem. Here is the query:- SELECT Info.Customer, Answers.Answer, Answers.AnswerDescription, Details.Code1, Details.Code2, Details.Code3 FROM Info LEFT OUTER JOIN Answers ON Info.AnswerID = Answers.AnswerID LEFT OUTER JOIN (SELECT ReferenceNo, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde1' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code1, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde2' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code2, MAX(CASE DetailsIndicator WHEN 'cde3' THEN DetailsCode ELSE NULL END ) Code3 FROM DetailsData GROUP BY ReferenceNo) Details ON Info.ReferenceNo = Details.ReferenceNo There are less than 300 rows returned, but the Details table is about 180 thousand rows. The query takes 45 seconds to run and needs to take only a few seconds. When I type show processlist; into MYSQL it is hanging on "Sending Data". Any thoughts as to what the performance problem might be?

How to handle security constraints using GWT 2.1's RequestFactory?

I am currently developing a GWT 2.1 application that is to be deployed on Google App Engine. I would like to realise the server communication using the new RequestFactory. Now my question is how to handle fine-grained security issues in this context? Some server actions (of those declared in the RequestContext stubs) shall be restricted to certain users (possibly depending on the parameters of the remote call). If a call is unauthorised, I would like the client to show a login page (so that one may log in as a different user, for example). From the Expenses example, I know how to implement an automatic redirection to a login page, but in this example, the security model is quite simple: A client is allowed to access the servlet if and only if a user is logged in. Shall I raise a custom UnAuthorizedException in my server-side service? Where should I intercept this exception? (Can I do this in a servlet filter like the GaeAuthFilter of the Expenses example?)

What are the benefits of using WCF?

We currently just utilize soap webservices for all our communication but have been thinking about moving to WCF instead. What are the benefits of using it over an asmx service? If we do go with a WCF service, can other languages still communicate with it? SOAP is standardized and all languages can interact with it. Are there any really good examples of how to get started with WCF that show the benefits of it over soap? EDIT I just found this question which is quite helpful. The Getting Started Tutorial is great.

I have working program made with C and SDL just to load pictures and make a slideshow, but i don´t know how to put this over video with transparencies. Hi all, I need to create a particle system and retain the created particles. I need to shake / move the created particles with the iphone accelerometer. Also, the number of particles needs to be very high (I need to show sand!). I do not have any OpenGLES programming experience. After initial search, I found Cocos2D can be used for particle generation. But there is no way of retaining the particles in the CCParticle system. As a work around, I tried creating many sprites at the end of particle generation and shown them as particles. But moving few number of sprites with accelerometer drops the frame rate considerably. Please suggest how this can be achieved and whether I should look for some other framework or if some kind of similar demo code is available. Thanks, Swapnil

TileMap in Sprite kit tile size issue

I am loading a TMX tile map into sprite kit using JSTileMap and the issue I am having is that if I use a tileSet.png the tiles appear too big when displayed. If I use a [email protected] the tiles appear the correct size but my tmx map does not show correctly instead all I see is the tileSet in a grid. I have tried renaming the [email protected] to tileSet.png but once again the tiles appear too big. Can I use a [email protected] with JSTileMap? The tiles in both png files are 128x128 Any help is appreciated.
