How best to implement HTML5 support for my validation library

I have created an annotation-based validation library called regula. There seems to be some amount of interest around the framework and the next thing I'd like to do is to support HTML5 validation. Originally I figured that I would check to see if the browser supported the HTML5 validation that has been specified and to either emulate or delegate to built-in regula equivalents. This is trivial for things like required, but once you start getting into the date-validation, it gets tricky (date widgets, localization, etc.). So I have a few options in front of me: Full HTML5 Shim along with widgets (for date stuff etc.): I feel like this is overkill and essentially reinventing the wheel since this is already covered by things like modernizr. Use HTML5 validation if available (either native, or provided by shim; otherwise ignore): What this means is that if HTML5 validation is available (natively or through a shim) I will use it, otherwise I will ignore it. I'm leaning towards the latter since currently if someone wants to use HTML5 validation, they will most probably require a shim since not all browsers support HTML5. Which option do you think is better?

2 google analytics profiles for 2 sections of the same site

Ive got a website which for the most part is a portfolio, there is another section of the site mysite.com/micro-site which ranks extremely well for it chosen term / topic, and brings in lots of traffic, but actually has little to do with the core business. It was really made as a piece of content - in the same way sites like this are - http://chrome.com/campaigns/rollit For the main site i use 1 Google analytics profile and set of tags, for the micro site i have a completely different analytics profile and set of tags. The main reason ive done this is because the traffic stats and insights for the micro site are essentially just noise, its nice to have the traffic but they dont help when reading analytics reports, so if they were combined my analytics reports would be a mess. Is there any disadvantage / negatives of doing this ?

Standby Problem, PC can not enter Standby mode

I have a problem with the Standby function: My Computer does not enter the Standby mode with Ubuntu 14.04LTS. If I remeber me right it, works with Ubuntu 13.10 but this Version was not long installed on this PC. Now when i press Standby in the menu or on my Keyboard the Display turns black for a few seconds, then some messages appear for a very short moment on the screen. After that, the the log-in screen appear. Two times I was able to enter Standby but the other times it fails. Tecnical Data about my PC: Ubuntu 14.04 with all Updates main storage: 3,8GiBprocessor: Intel® Core™ i3-2330M CPU @ 2.20GHz × 4 graphic: Intel® Sandybridge Mobile graphic board: NVIDA GEFORCE GT 555M CUDA 1GB Dual Boot System with win7 x64Bit Medion P6812 Laptop Here is the message output: Usally I got only a half of the screen filled with messages like that. When I filmed it it was much more. I dont know, maybe this is a Bug.

How can I get multitouch enabled on my Sentelic touchpad (msi x350 notebook)?

I understand my MSI x350 notebook comes with a Sentelic trackpad, which supports multi-touch (according to the MSI website). Is there a way to enable multitouch on Ubuntu? I've been having difficulty finding info about this on google, and since it's not a synaptics touchpad I haven't been able to find much info in ubuntu docs. My mouse preferences doesn't have a trackpad tab like it does on, say, a Macbook. i just installed 12.04, plug in E160 and nothing happend - modem doesnt mount. i found this solution : Ubuntu does not mount some Huawei devices due to bugs, problems etc. See if these work: 1st option: Connect the USB modem. How to stop camera from rotating in 2.5d platformer

I'm stuck with a problem: I can not make my camera stop rotating after character. What I already have tried: using empty game object with rigid body and locked rotation and make it parent of camera, while player being the parent of object. Also, I've tried using few scripts from web, that did not help. Right now I'm bad with using JS in Unity (can handle JS on website, but I dont know how to integrate it for now) and practicing the basics, making easy 2.5d platformer with basic features, so I can not write code for now.

I am trying to install "lirc" into chroot. Installing lirc requires "answering 2 questions". I am on Ubuntu Desktop 12.04. (in Virtualbox) I try this way: https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/GuiInstallLocalApp but I had errors and then the server would hang on reboot. No big surprise, the guide says it is valid for 9.04. Maybe I could create " debconf.seeds" ( https://help.ubuntu.com/community/UbuntuLTSP/FatClients ) but I dont know how to. Could somebody point me in the right direction? thanks Roberto

While searching about this i found this awesome website Ginwiz; my website can be modified into an mobile friendly site without any additional coding. But i find two disadvantages with this website (free version) 1)We cant add our domain to it with out upgrading (i dont have enough money to pay for it) 2)We can only "Advanced edit" one page Do you know any website which is similar to Ginwiz but can use our domain address instead of theirs (in free version). Do you have any idea about any tools which can be also used to convert my website to mobile website by trimming my current website easily.

Can SAML use saleforce login information to log into another system inside a view?

I want my sales people, whom use salesforce every day, to be able to view orders in a ecommerce system through a dashboard view in salesforce. The ecom is built and sitting on my web server but the sales reps dont like to log into too many things in one day so they are not using what I built them. I read recently that salesforce can use SAML but it was unclear as to what you can do with it. What I'd like, is to make a new dash board view that will open up the ecom inside of salesforce. The ecom uses a login system but if it is inside of saleforce would SAML automatically log into the ecom?

Hi, Google webmaster tools says network unreachable. When i contacted my hosting provider they said that they have installed firewall which could block frequent incoming ip addresses and they dont know the google's ip adress to unblock. so they requested me to find google search/crawler bot's ip adress so that they can add it to their whitelist. How to find the ip address of google search bot or crawler bot? My site stopped appearing in google search. My hits had gone too low. What should i do? any kind of reply would he helpful.

No sound 12.04 (Dummy output)

Its been weeks with no sound. I feel like Ive tried everything but somethings just dont seem right. I am a new user and so far i love Ubuntu but this sound issue is making me unsure. Im NOT muted. Ive tried multiple jacks, front and back. in alsamixer it says choose sound card and I have only thr 'hda Intel' option. In pulseaudio I only have 'dummy output'. When I have Youtube on I can see audio being detected in pavucontrol but nothing is coming out of the speakers. How can I generate a view or projection matrix for OpenGL 3.+

I'm transitioning from OpenGL 2 to OpenGL 3.+ and to GLSL 1.5. I'm trying to avoid using the deprecated features. My question how do we now generate the view or projection matrix. I was using the matrix stack to calculate the projection matrix for me; GLfloat ptr[16]; gluPerspective(...); glGetFloatv(GL_MODELVIEW_MATRIX, ptr); //then pass ptr via a uniform to the shader But obviously the matrix stack is deprecated. So this approach is not the best an option going forward. I have the 'Red Book', 7th ed, which covers 3.0 & 3.1 and it still uses the deprecated matrix functions in it's examples. I could write some utility-code myself to generate the matrices. But I don't want to re-invent this particular wheel, especially when this functionality is required for every 3D graphics program. What is the accepted way to generate world,view & projection matrices for OpenGL? Is there an emerging 'standard' library for this? Or is there some other hidden (to me) functionality in OpenGL/GLSL which I have overlooked?

Blurry vertical sections using fglrx with Radeon hd 6970

So I managed to get fglrx working by downloading the drivers from ATI because the ones from additional drivers boot to a black screen and the open source dont let me change resolution. My one issue is that half of my monitor is fine and the other half is blurry almost as if there's a blurry vertical stripe on the right side. I tried disabling Compiz and have the same issue in both gnome and kde, I was wondering if theres an xorg.conf change that could be made to fix this as I have already set the resolution and refresh rates to the correct values.

Have 5,000 products in CSV file File has been re-saved as UT8 file in google documents and exported to CSV from excel File loads perfectly with all fields in demo of magento store manager (except we dont want to buy it:) When trying to upload in regular Magento..keep getting error messages on column duplicates....yes we have hundreds of duplicates as the titles of products in fields correspond with different sizes, etc...no way around it Any solutions around this or any open source software similar to store manager that can do the trick. Ready to give up and go to paid solution such as Big Commerce Also, Uploaded a bunch of free modules/keys...of open source bulk import products from magentocommerce but I cant find them anywhere in the main admin panel to use...there is no menu item for them anywhere??

I am unable to add ubuntu server in nagios monitoring. I am getting "CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 40 seconds." error for few services "CPU Load, Cron File Check, Current Users, Disk Check, NTP Daemon, Time Check, Total Processes, Zombie Processes". Please find the snapshot for the same below, Details: Installed nrpe plugin in ubuntu host. On running the below command from remote host running ubuntu (not nagios server) am getting the following output, root@ubuntu-cacher:~# /usr/local/nagios/libexec/check_nrpe -H localhost NRPE v2.13 But in nagios server i am getting "CHECK_NRPE: Socket timeout after 40 seconds." error. I have tearing or extremely low fps on fullhd video playback on Ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 , plus 3d gaming is imposible ! I don't know what are you trying to do but seems pretty FAILED to me ! It sucks way too much ! -Plus wifi internet connection stays for 5minutes then no internet ! but wifi connections stays. I've tested ubuntu 12.10 beta 2 64bit with 1) Nvidia geforce gts250 (EXCESSIVE TEARING, 3d games dont change res and have low fps plus bad support on plymouth etc) 2) Ati radeon hd 6450 (Low Fps on full hd video playback , can play hd flash videos)

Last 2 and half year I've been working as a Software Tester and i'm seriously considering a track change to programmer. but the problems I think of is.. 1. My age (28) 2. My IT experience with Testing 3. Salary wont match if I change the track as I have to start from scrach. Wot do you think guys?? Please advice me. Is it better to change track or stay in Tester job??
