• Long IF tree with strings

  I have a C program which uses Lua for scripting. In order to keep readability and avoid importing several constants within the individual Lua states, I condense a large amount of functions within a simple call (such as "ObjectSet(id, "ANGLE", 45)"), by using an "action" string. To do this I have a large if tree comparing the action string to a list (such as "if(stringcompare(action, "ANGLE") ... else if (stringcompare(action, "X")... etc") This approach works well, and within the program it's not really slow, and is fairly quick to add a new action. But I kind of feel perfectionist. Is there a better way to do this in C? And having Lua in heavy use, maybe there is a way to use it for this purpose? (embedded "chunks" making a dictionary?) Although this part is mostly curiosity.

  Hey Guys, i hope someone can help me out on this one here. I use several associative arrays in my php application and i'm using to php documentor to comment my sources. I never really did specified comments for the arrays in an array, but now i need to do that and dont know how. $array = array('id' => 'test', 'class' => 'tester', 'options' => array('option1' => 1, 'option2' => 2)) So how do i comment this array in the correct way for @var and @param comments? I could do this like this, but dunno, if this is correct: @param string $array['id'] @param string $array['class'] @param int $array['options']['option1'] But how to this for the var part?   I'd like to take an object like this: SortedList<string, SortedList<int, SortedList<DateTime, double>>> Data and, for a given 'int' value (key of first nested sorted list), restructure it like this: SortedList<DateTime, SortedList<string, double>> or, better yet, this: SortedList<DateTime, double[]> where each 'double[]' has as many elements as there are KeyValue pairs in the SortedList. I'm guessing Linq is the way to go, but can't figure it out. Thanks for any suggestions.

  I have a small form which the user must fill in and consists of the following fields. Name (Text) Value (Text) Group (Group - Is a list of option pulled from a database table) Now the Model for this View looks like so, public string Name { get; set; } public string Value { get; set; } public int GroupID { get; set; } Now the view is Strongly Typed to the above model. What method would one use to populate the drop down list? Since the data is not contained within the Model (It could be contained in the Model) should we be using Temp/View data? A HTML Helper? What would be the ideal way to achieve this.

  I need to create an input form that will allow a user to enter any number of values for a particular attribute. I've tried several approaches, all of which seem to have various levels of failure. The latest model bean looks something like: public class Product { private String name; private String[] tags; ...accessors... } The input fields look something like: <h:inputText id="name" value="#{product.name}"></h:inputText> <h:inputText id="tag0" value="#{product.tag[0]}"></h:inputText> My plan was to allow the user is to use javascript to add additional form fields as needed. • Why oh why doesn't my asp.net treeview update?

  I'm using an ASP.net treeview on a page with a custom XmlDataSource. When the user clicks on a node of the tree, a detailsview pops up and edits a bunch of things about the underlying object. All this works properly, and the underlying object gets updated in my background object-management classes. Yay! However, my treeview just isn't updating the display. Either immediately (which i would like it to), or on full page re-load (which is the minimal useful level i need it to be at). Am i subclassing XmlDataSource poorly? I really don't know. Can anyone point me in a good direction? Thanks!   Using Visual studio 2012, C#.net 4.5 , SQL Server 2008, Feefo, Nopcommerce Hey guys I have Recently implemented a new review service into a current site we have. When the change went live the first day all worked fine. Since then though the sending of sales to Feefo hasnt been working, There are no logs either of anything going wrong. In the OrderProcessingService.cs in Nop Commerce's Service, i call a HttpWebrequest when an order has been confirmed as completed. Now: this hasnt been happening all week since the 15th (day of the implementation) the site has been grinding to a halt recently. The stream and reader in the the var content is there for debugging. Im wondering does the code redflag anything to you that could relate to the process of website? Also note i have run some SQL statements to see if there is any deadlocks or large escalations, so far seems fine, Logs have also been fine just the usual logging of Bots. Any help would be much appreciated! EDIT: also note that this code is in a method that is called and wrapped in A try catch UPDATE: well forget about the "not sending", thats because i was just told my code was rolled back last week

  Given a fully qualified class name, and a number of dimensions, i would like to get the Class name for this class. I believe i can do this like such public Class<?> getArrayClass(String className, int dimensions) throws ClassNotFoundException { Class<?> elementType = Class.forName(className); return Array.newInstance(elementType, new int[dimensions]).getClass(); } However this requires me to create an unneeded instance of the class. Is there a way to do this without creating the instance? It does not appear that Class.forName("[[[[Ljava/lang/String;") (or a algorithmically generated version) works correctly in all instances from various blog posts i've seen.

• Flex Air HTMLLoader blank pop up window when flash content is loaded

  I have a flex Air program that loads external content with the HTMLLoader. Now for some reason whenever I load a page that has any flash content a blank system window pops up outside of my program. It's completely blank, all white with min, max and close buttons. If I close it any flash content I loaded stops working. For the life of my I can't figure out what's happening and there's no messages in the console and no title for the window. Does anyone have any ideas? I appreciate any help you can give.   First, I am SO sorry if the answer is out there. I've looked and looked and feel this is such a simple thing that it should be obvious. I'm wanting to make sure only the person who added an event can modify it. Simple! I already have a datasource that has event_added_by as a data point. It is populating a FormView. SelectCommand="SELECT * FROM [tbl_events] WHERE ([event_ID] = @event_ID)" And I have Page.User.Identity.Name. How do I compare the two?   Hi , I just want to check if I understood well the way asynchronous Http request work on Android. Suppose I make such a request and set a ResponseHandler<String> responseHandler to handle the response. By doing this is it possible to have the UI thread blocked waiting for the response ? The implication being that the code in the function: public String handleResponse(HttpResponse response) is also executed on the UI thread or is there silently spawned a thread that waits for the response and calls the handleResponse(HttpResponse response) function when the response arrives ?

  hey regex guru's I have a data column that contains a substring similar to this: 'This is a string with ID=123 contained inside' i need to replace the ID=123 with another fixed string say ID=1 i have a working REPLACE call that swaps out the values correctly, but this only works on a known original id number. I can extend to make it work when the number of digits are known by using some substr magic, however, the id number may have an arbitrary number of digits, so i'm thinking regex. any help with the regex magix to grab the entire ID=999 substring no matter how many digits would be very helpful. thanks
