Well I have learned a few basics from technet.microsoft.com but i was not able to find out what is the meaning of "x-store-info" and what values does this pass on.   • Can I keep stream info displayed while in a full screen visualization in VLC?

    I am streaming an internet radio station through vlc. When its playing in the player, the title bar shows the song title and artist. When going full screen, it shows the song title/artist for a brief moment in white at the bottom of the screen. But, that quickly disappears. It does not come back up when the song changes. Is there a way to keep the stream info on screen while in full screen visualization mode in vlc?

    I have two simple WSGI apps running on top of mod_wsgi and apache2 on a test development server. There is no mod_python on this machine. Same goes for any changes to the config (e.g. number of maximum requests, etc). Instead, it never ends "waiting", like this: $ sudo service apache2 restart * Restarting web server apache2 ... waiting .................................................. until I just do CTRL-C. At that point, the only way to resume a working server is to kill the process and restart it, not very convenient. The same happens with the stop command.   • Dual Boot issues with Windows 7 and Ubuntu

    I'm finding myself in a rather unique situation. I've read through just about every resource I can find about this and while things have helped me understand some background, I haven't yet been able to find a solution. So I'm asking here. I originally had just a Windows 7 64-bit OS installation on my desktop. Learning that I couldn't do anything with Apache, PHP and MySql from within a 64-bit system, I did some research and found out that I could use Ubuntu. I've installed the latest version: 11.04. I created a CD to install Ubuntu from and the install went just fine. I installed it side-by-side with Windows 7. I can boot into Ubuntu just fine through the dual-boot option. When I reboot to load Windows though, the Grub2 list shows Windows 7 (loader) and when I select this option the Windows System Recovery loads instead of the actual OS. I haven't made it past there because I didn't know what to do. I just shut the computer down and rebooted into Ubuntu. I've been working for the last hour and a half to try to figure out how to boot into the Windows 7 OS and I haven't got a clue. While I'm somewhat proficient with Windows 7, I'm totally new to Ubuntu, so if you do know what needs to happen, please keep it simple enough that I'll be able to understand.   • DNS - domain conflict?

    I was given two domains: domain.com & domain.info (they are on GoDaddy). And I was also given two servers, 107.105.38.99 - Rails app and 107.107.90.17 - Wordpress platform, on Digital Ocean. At first, I was instructed to associate domain.com with the 107.107.38.99 (Rails app). Then I was instructed to de-associate this IP with domain.com and associated the 107.107.90.17 with the domain name domain.com. Then I was instructed to associated domain.info with the 107.107.38.99 (Rails app). Right now, when I go to domain.com the WordPress platform (107.107.90.17) loads fine and that is what is expected. But when I go to domain.info for the Rails app (107.107.38.99) I get redirected to domain.com. This is not expected and this is really weird for me. When I ping domain.info I get this: PING domain.info (107.107.38.99): 56 data bytes 64 bytes from 107.107.38.99: icmp_seq=0 ttl=50 time=74.601 ms Which is the expected result showing the correct IP but I don't understand why I get redirected to domain.com...(which when I ping is:) domain 64 bytes from 107.107.90.17: icmp_seq=0 ttl=50 time=75.057 ms The PTR Records on Digital Ocean are as follows: IP Address PTR Record 107.107.38.99 domain.info. 107.107.90.17 domain.com. and the DNS configurations on Digital Ocean are: domain.com A: @ 107.107.90.17 CNAME: * @ domain.info A: @ 107.107.38.99 CNAME: * @ I am not sure what the issue is, if you have any clue please let me know, I will be really grateful.   • Deploying war files in tomcat6

    I am using tomcat5.5 for a long on ubuntu servers 8.10 and 9.10 and '/usr/share/tomcat/webapps/' is the path where I place my .war files and access them on the browser over network. On a sytem I've installed tomcat6 and I'm failing to find that where do I place my .war file of tomcat6's webapps. I checked deploying war under /var/lib/tomcat6/webapps/ and the war file is extracted and I think this should be the location but I could not access the page when I tried http://serverip:8080/myapp. I could access the default page properly when I navigate to http://serverip:8080. The same war file is working fine on tomcat servers which were not installed from apt repository. Now I know a language is regular iff it is accepted by a finite automaton. And I know a language is context-free iff it is accepted by a pushdown automaton. But I'm not sure of what solution is.

    Are there any search tools that allow you to set up a simple token/grammar parsing system that work similar to regular expressions? What we want to do is search our ColdFusion code for queries that do not have cfqueryparams in them. A regular expression gets a bit tough in this situation because I can't keep track of the start tags while looking for something else before getting an end tag. It seems like a parsing system would work more accurately.

  • How to best show progress info when using ADO.NET?

    I want to show the user detailed progress information when performing potentially lengthy database operations. Specifically, when inserting/updating data that may be on the order of hundreds of KB or MB. Currently, I'm using in-memory DataTables and DataRows which are then synced with the database via TableAdapter.Update calls. This works fine and dandy, but the single call leaves little opportunity to glean any kind of progress info to show to the user. I have no idea how much data is passing through the network to the remote DB or its progress. Basically, all I know is when Update returns and it is assumed complete (barring any errors or exceptions). But this means all I can show is 0% and then a pause and then 100%. I can count the number of rows, even going so far to cound how many are actually Modified or Added, and I could even maybe calculate per DataRow its estimated size based on the datatype of each column, using sizeof for value types like int and checking length for things like strings or byte arrays. With that, I could probably determine, before updating, an estimated total transfer size, but I'm still stuck without any progress info once Update is called on the TableAdapter. Am I stuck just using an indeterminate progress bar or mouse waiting cursor? Would I need to radically change our data access layer to be able to hook into this kind of information? Even if I can't get it down to the precise KB transferred (like a web browser file download progress bar), could I at least know when each DataRow/DataTable finishes or something? How do you best show this kind of progress info using ADO.NET?

    I'm creating a new Drupal theme. Until now, I only needed to include a single css file and a single js file. So my theme.info file had something like this: stylesheets[all][] = css/style.css scripts[] = js/script.js Now I must include jquery and jquery-ui in order to use a calendar date. These come with 2 new javascript files, and 1 additonal css file that I must add to the site. The calendar input form is going to be used in all pages (on a side block) so it is ok for me to load the extra css/javascript on all pages. I think the easiest thing would be to reference them on the .info file itself. At first I tried to just put them there with separate spaces: stylesheets[all][] = css/style.css css/ui-lightness/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.css scripts[] = js/jquery-1.4.2.min.js js/jquery-ui-1.8.1.custom.min.js js/reservations.js I emptied drupal's cache and... none of them loaded. I then tried separating each file with a comma, and flushing the cache again. Same result. I've browsed some drupal pages, but could not find how to add several javascript/css files on one theme (they always seem to add just 1 of each). So, how do I include several css/javascript files on the .info file?

  • MS 70-536 .NET Framework Foundation - info on Exam? Especially regex?

    Hi, I know there are already some questions about this, but not that specific. I have the self-paced training kit and worked through the test exam tool that is on the CD coming with the book. I constantly fail on the test tool, mostly on the regex questions. I'm not a regex guru. In fact my regex-fu is more than weak. I know what regex'es are, how I can use them and where my 'Regular expressions - kurz und gut' book is in my drawer in case I really need them. And to be honest I feel like learning regex is a total waste of time, because if I need them I have either a colleague that is fit and can do them in just a few seconds or I need my book and get them right in a still fair amount of time. And from my experience I can tell that I need regex like once in two or three years. So just putting in a lot of time into learning just the expressions to pass the exam is.. something I like not to have to do. Can you tell me something about the real exam vs. the test exam tool on the book and about the need to know regex for passing it? Thank you for your time. Marked as Community Wiki. Hope that fits?

  • Why doesn't Maven's mvn clean ever work the first time?

    Nine times out of ten when I run mvn clean on my projects I experience a build error. I have to execute mvn clean multiple times until the build error goes away. Does anyone else experience this? Is there any way to fix this within Maven? If not, how do you get around it? I wrote a bat file that deletes the target folders and that works well, but it's not practical when you are working on multiple projects. I am using Maven 2.2.1.
