• google maps api v2 - dynamic load (tens of thousands of) markers

  Hello, how made with JavaScript+PHP+MYSQL and Google Maps API v2 dynamic load of markers? atm I have map follow example http://googlemapsapi.martinpearman.co.uk/infusions/google_maps_api/basic_page.php?map_id=8 but my marker_data_01.php (where are all markers listed - look code of example) have atm 4MB and will only have more, and more. So the question is: how load only this markers to marker_data_01.php (of some other modification of it, can be on same file as map, meaningless, I load it all from MySQL atm) what I look now: so for example (I dont know what number will good but I write this only for show what I wanna made OR JUST something like it), so top left corner for example have position: 10, top right corner for example have position: 30, bottom left corner for example have position: 5, bottom right corner for example have position: 15. -- so load only this markers what are in this box 10-30-5-15 with for example GET, and when I move map for example to 17-12-48-20 box then made next GET request and with this mysql quote and download next markers that what I see now, with this I can have map with unlimited markers, and when will be a lot of markers then clustering can link them, so with this ppl dont will need do "preload" of all markers DB (what have 4mb now and will have more), but only download that what they see at the moment, I know that is possible because a lot sites have it but I am not master of code langs, I know only a bit php and mysql (and html) :) // sorry for my english

• rotate an image aroound a point

  Hi all, I have an image which is of rectangular dimension, eg 30 x 60 pixels I want to rotate this image around the bottom center of the image, i.e i want to set the pivot in the above example as (15, 60 )pixel. I am using a drawble and matrix to get this done, whatever i try i always end up rotating around center of the image. • SQL Server Compact timed out waiting for a lock

  Hi all, I'm having an application in that i use Sql Compact 3.5 with VS2008. I'm running multiple threads in my application which contacts the compact database and accesses the row. It selects and deletes those rows in a fashion i.e selecting and giving to the application 5 rows and deleting those rows from the table. It works great with a single thread but if i use multiple threads i.e if 3 or more threads are running I get very often the TimeOut Error!!! I have increased the Time out property in the connection string but it didn't give me expected result. The error log is as follow: SQL Server Compact timed out waiting for a lock. The default lock time is 2000ms for devices and 5000ms for desktops. The default lock timeout can be increased in the connection string using the ssce: default lock timeout property. [ Session id = 5,Thread id = 4204,Process id = 4808,Table name = XXX,Conflict type = x lock (s blocks),Resource = TAB ] The Query that I use to retrieve is as follows: " select Top(5) * from TableName order by id; delete from TableName where id in(select top(5) id from TableName order by id); " Is there any way by which we can avoid this Time Out exception??????? The above query I un as a transaction in VS2008 one using SQLCECommand and the other using SqlCEDataAdapter. Any Idea!!!!!! Reply

• Modify shell script to monitor/ping multiple ip addresses

  Alright so I need to constantly monitor multiple routers and computers, to make sure they remain online. I have found a great script here that will notify me via growl(so i can get instant notifications on my phone) if a single ip cannot be pinged. I have been attempting to modify the script to ping multiple addresses, with little luck. I'm having trouble trying to figure out how to ping a down server while the script keeps watching the online servers. any help would be greatly appreciated. I haven't done much shell scripting so this is quite new to me.   Brief: convert ( -size 585x128 gradient: ) NewImage.png How do I change the above ImageMagick command so it takes the width and height from an existing image? I need it to remain a one line command. Details: I'm trying to programatically create an image reflection using ImageMagick. The effect I am looking for is similar to what you would see when looking at an object on the edge of a pool of water. There is a pretty good thread on what I am trying to do here but the solution isn't exactly what I am looking for. Since I will be calling ImageMagick from a C#.Net application I want to use one call without any temp files and return the image through stdout. So far I have this... convert OriginalImage.png ( OriginalImage.png -flip -blur 3x5 \ -crop 100%%x30%%+0+0 -negate -evaluate multiply 0.3 \ -negate ( -size 585x128 gradient: ) +matte -compose copy_opacity -composite ) -append NewImage.png This works ok but doesn't give me the exact fade I am looking for. Instead of a nice solid fade from top to bottom it is giving me a fade from top left to bottom right. I added the (-negate -evaluate multiply 0.3 -negate) section in to lighten it up a bit more since I wasn't getting the fade I wanted. I also don't want to have to hard code in the size of the image when creating the gradient ( -size 585x128 gradient: ) I'm also going to want to keep the original image's transparency if possible. To go to stdout I plan on replacing "NewImage.png" with "-"

  Hi, I've written a dummy http server as an exercise in F#. I'm using Mono 2.4.4 on Ubuntu 10.04 x86_64, with MonoDevelop. The following code fails to compile with the error: Error FS0039: The field, constructor or member 'Spawn' is not defined (FS0039) Could someone try this in VisualStudio please, I don't know whether this is a Mono problem, or my problem. • Horizontally and Vertically Center Modal Div IE Issue

  I'm trying to horizontally and vertically center a modal window inside a div. I want it to be cross browser compatible. You can see from the picture below that when I resize IE8 then click, "show modal" button it displays not exactly horizontally centered. This does not seem to be an issue with Chrome. Any thoughts?   Assume that I have the ItemSource bound and i am getting the data. Now what I want is this. The ItemSource will contain Data that tells where each button should be.   I have been using Windows 7 for a while but have not had to work with a particular legacy intranet application since my upgrade. Unfortunately, this application is setup as an ASP.NET Website project hosted on a remote server. When I have the website open in Visual Studio 2008 and try to debug it: Request for the permission of type 'System.Web.AspNetHostingPermission' failed To resolve this issue on Windows Vista machines I would change the machine's .NET Security Configuration to trust the local intranet. I believe this configuration utility relied upon the mscorcfg.msc which from some cursory research appears to be apart of the .NET 2.0 SDK. I have tried to follow the instructions from this Microsoft Support article running the command below to no avail. I notice that the URL beginning with http://rubygems.org/quick does seem to be a 404 -- I don't think that's any problem with my network, though if that's reachable for anyone else then that would be a simple explanation for my problem. They are so ubiquitous and so useful that I, as a 'hobby project', am working on a system that is completely based on their properties (distributed data aggregation).   I'm having an extremely frustrating time getting some images to upload. They are obviously being uploaded as rack/multipart but the way that I'm iterating over my params hash must be causing the problem. I could REALLY use some help, so I can stop pulling out my hair. I found it's very difficult to get batch process information like log or status when i working on sql server's agent. So I'd like to change my company's job scheduling process to another stable solution But I dind't know which solutions to choose. I tried to find as same solution as CA Autosys. My Company use window server system. We shoud consider framework or solution should be configured using solution's api because i plan to make a asp.net web application to manage our job shceduler. • Why won't my CATiledLayer scroll in a UIScrollView after zooming?

  I'm currently having the following problem with CATiledLayer: when the view first loads, the scrolling works perfectly, but then when you zoom once, the view snaps to the anchor point (top left corner) and it can no longer scroll at all. The zooming works in that it will zoom in and out, but it will only zoom to the top left corner. The text is legitimate but it has the words 'create' and an html <table> tag later in it so it is causing a false positive.   So I am trying to replicate Facebook's picture tagging functionality, and I have the functionality that onClick, a box is created and there is a comment box. Now the issue is that I want to be able to (without doing any back-end processing) take the input from the input field and add it in some form to the underlying image area that they have selected. I would also like to add a small image to that area, that shows that a comment is there. How do I do that? • Excel::Shape object getting released automatically after the count reaches 18 in List<T>

  I have a Excel addin written in C# 2.0 in which I am experiencing a strange behavior.Please note that this behavior is only seen in Excel 2003 and NOT in Excel 2007 or 2010. Issue: When the user clicks an import command button, a file is read and a number of Shapes are created/added to the worksheet using Worksheet::Shapes::AddPicture() method. A reference to these Shape objects are kept in a generic list: List<Excel.Shape> list = new List<Excel.Shape>(); Everything works fine till the list has less than 18 references. When the count reaches 18, and a new Shape reference is added, the first one i.e. @ index [0] is released. I am unable to call any method or property on that reference and calling a method/property throws a COMException (0x800A1A8) i.e. Object Required. If I add one more, then the reference @ [1] is not accessible and so on. Strange enough... this happens with Shape object only i.e. If I add one Shape and then 17 nulls to the list then this wont happen until 17 more Shape objects are added. Does anyone has an idea why it happens after the count reaches 18? I thought it might be something with the List's default capacity. Something like relocating the references during which they get released so I initialized it with a capacity of 1000 but still no luck. List<Excel.Shape> list = new List<Excel.Shape>(1000); Any Idea??

• Simple Enterprise Library console application refuses to compile

  I just downloaded and installed Microsoft Enterprise Library 5.0. I fired up VS 2010 to play with EL 5 and created a very simple console application. However, it would not compile. I got the following error: The type or namespace name 'Data' does not exist in the namespace 'Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary' (are you missing an assembly reference?) I added Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common, Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data, and Microsoft.Practices.Unity references to my project.
