• Monitoring for non-pgp files

  For privacy reasons, I want to prevent my users from posting unencrypted files to my ftp site. It is company policy that all data exchanges of sensitive data be encrypted with PGP. I'd like to setup a program to monitor the ftp folders and whenever a new file is placed there, verify that it is in fact encrypted. I can't just rely on the file extension because in some cases, our trading partners require a specific filename that doesn't have a .PGP on the end. Is there a library or another method I can use to verify that a given file is encrypted? I'm using C# and .NET on a windows platform.

  Hi I´m trying to code a tooltip (Yes I know, I have my reasons to avoid plugins in this case) in jQuery. Whe I show the tooltip and leave the mouse in the same place the show and hide repeats forever. It´s like the element triggers the hover event again and again and again. • Gacutil.exe successfully adds assembly, but assembly missing from GAC. Why?

  I'm running GacUtil.exe from within Visual Studio Command Prompt 2010 to register a dll (CatalogPromotion.dll) to the GAC. After running the utility, it says Assembly Successfully added to the cache, and running gacutil /l CatalogPromotionDll shows that the GAC contains the assembly, but I can't see the assembly when I navigate to C:\WINDOWS\assembly from Windows Explorer. Why can't I see the assembly in WINDOWS\assembly from Windows Explorer but I can see it using gacutil.exe? All of them arrive in the end to the error of about 1e-13. Is it normal to have such a significant error accumulation over only a 1000, 10000 increments?

• IIS not responding to the few requests from the client

  I am stuck with an issue with IIS 7.0. I need someone's help to find resolution on this, as this is very urgent requirement for us. Scenario I am trying to host the service in my server (Windows Server 2008 R2 and IIS 7.0) and my client is running in the XP machine with IIS 5.1. Few of my request sent from client get successful response and for few request I am getting the below exception in Visual studio when I try to debug. Exception in Visual studio 2010 An error occurred while receiving the HTTP response to This could be due to the service endpoint binding not using the HTTP protocol. This could also be due to HTTP request context being aborted by the server (possibly due to the service shutting down). See the server logs for more details. When referred to the server event viewer log I got the below events(Application error and System warning) during the above exception. Under System logs - Warning A process serving application pool 'DefaultAppPool' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '5372'. The data field contains the error number.   Hey, i have an assignment (NCC) which deals with the design phase. The Scenario is that you have four soccer divisions (divisions 1,2,3 and 4) which consist of 22 teams each and hence each team plays 42 games (home and away). The concept is similar to the barclays premier league whereby ranking is based on points or else goal difference or else goals scored by team. The difference is that the top 2 teams are promoted and the bottom 2 are relegated and this includes Div 1 and Div 4 as the top 2 of Div1 are promoted to the national league which is above division 1 regional league and bottom 2 of Div4 are relegated to the local league below Division 4 regional league. Hence there are 3 total leagues and 4 divisions in the regional league (which has 22 teams each). • How do I configure multiple Ubuntu Python installations to avoid App Engine's SSL error?

  I have Karmic Koala which has Python 2.6 installed by default. However I can't run any Python App Engine projects because they require Python 2.5 and python ssl. To install ssl I installed python2.5-dev first while following some instructions I found elsewhere. sudo apt-get install libssl-dev sudo apt-get install python-setuptools sudo apt-get install python2.5-dev sudo easy_install-2.5 pyopenssl However, I am afraid this is not good for my Ubuntu installation since Ubuntu expects to see version 2.6 of Python when you type 'python' on the command line. Instead, it says '2.5.5'. I tried to revert to the original default version of Python by doing this: sudo apt-get remove python2.5-dev But that didn't seem to do anything either - when I type 'python' on the command line it still say 2.5.5. And App Engine still doesn't work after all this. I continue to get an SSL-related error whenever I try to run my Python app: AttributeError: 'module' object has no attribute 'HTTPSHandler' UPDATE: Just checked whether SSL actually installed as a result of those commands by typing this: $ python2.5 Python 2.5.5 (r255:77872, Apr 29 2010, 23:59:20) [GCC 4.4.1] on linux2 Type "help", "copyright", "credits" or "license" for more information. >>> import ssl Traceback (most recent call last): File "<stdin>", line 1, in <module> ImportError: No module named ssl >>> As you can see, SSL is still not installed, which explains the continuing App Engine error. • How can I overlay images over one another in Java?

  So I have been posting all over and have yet to get a solid answer: I have created an image resizing class, with a crop method. The cropping works great. The issue that I am having is the background color that I specify in the drawImage function of Graphics is not working correctly. It defaults to black as the background regardless of what I supply (in this case Color.WHITE). Also, the overlaying image or top most image (comes from a file) is being inverted (I think it is) or otherwise discolored. Just so you can conceptualize this a little bit better, I am taking a jpeg and overlaying it on top of a new BufferedImage, the new buffered image's background is not being set. • Preventing EF4 ConstraintException when invoking TryUpdateModel

  Given following ASP.NET MVC controller code: [HttpPost] public ActionResult Create(FormCollection collection) { string[] whitelist = new []{ "CompanyName", "Address1", "Address2", ... }; Partner newPartner = new Partner(); if (TryUpdateModel(newPartner, whitelist, collection)) { var db = new mainEntities(); db.Partners.AddObject(newPartner); db.SaveChanges(); return RedirectToAction("Details/" + newPartner.ID); } else { return View(); } } The problem is with the Entity Framework 4: the example Partner entity is mapped to a database table with it's fields NOT ALLOWED to be NULL (which is ok by design - they're required). Unfortunately, invoking TryUpdateModel when some of the properties are nulls produces ConstraintException which is not expected! I do expect that TryUpdateModel return false in this case. It is ok that EF wouldn't allow set a property value to null if it should not be, but the TryUpdateMethod should handle that, and add the error to ModelState errors collection. I am wrong, or somebody screwed the implementation of TryUpdateModel method?

Your computer may not have enough memory to open the image, or the image may be corrupted. Restart your computer, and then open the file again. If the red x still appears, you may have to delete the image and then insert it again. If i copy the html code and try to open the word document on my local machine, it displays the image correctly. It just doesn't work when retrieving the document from the server. This happens for any images I try to add. Is there another way to add images to html-generated word documents that can be output from an asp page? Thanks.

• HTML + CSS: fixed background image and body width/min-width (including fiddle)

  So, here is my problem. I'm kinda stuck at the moment. I have a huge background image and content in the middle with those attributes: content is centered with margin auto and has a fixed width the content is related to the image (like the image is continued within the content) this relation is only horizontally (vertically scrolling moves everything around) This works actually fine (I'm only talking desktop, not mobile here :) ) with a position fixed on the huge background image. The problem that occurs is the following: When I resize the window to "smaller than the content" the background image gets it width from the body instead of the viewport. So the relation between content and image gets lost. Now I have this little JavaScript which does the trick, but this is of course some overhead I want to avoid: $(window).resize(function(){ img.css('left', (body.width() - img.width()) / 2 ); }); This works with a fixed positioned image, but can get a litty jumpy while calculating. I also tried things like that: <div id="test" style=" position: absolute; z-index: 0; top: 0; left: 0; width: 100%: height: 100%; background: transparent url(content/dummy/brand_backgroud_1600_1.jpg) no-repeat fixed center top; "></div> But this gets me back to my problem described. Is there any "script-less", elegant solution for this problem? • How would you mask data returned in a Dynamic Data for Entities website?

  I'm doing this in Visual Studio 2008, not 2010, in case there is a relevant difference between the two versions of the Dynamic Data websites. How would I mask data in the automatically generated tables in a Dynamic Data for Entities website? The scenario is we have one table where we want to allow users to ENTER sensitive data, but not VIEW sensitive data, so... (In the list below, I'm using "template" to mean "The web page generated automatically based on the schema and action. I'm sure that's the wrong terminology, but the meaning should be clear.) The "Insert" template should have the field's textbox available for the user to type a value in. The "Edit" template should have the field's textbox blanked out (empty string) regardless of what was in the field in the database in the first place, but the user should be able to type in new data and have it save The "View" template should either have the data for this field masked, or non-visible. The auto-generated table showing the list of records should also have this field masked or non-visible. I can do this easily with standard Web Forms, but I'm having a hard time figuring this out in the Dynamic Data site I'm working on. Masking data is such a common task, I have to believe Microsoft thought of this and provided a way to do it...

  Hey, I have UAC that registers to a UAS, after registration the UAS sends me an OPTIONS request, what should I answer it? only the audio media streams? Update I: Allow me to explain myself better... if I want to invite someone to a session I USE the INVITE method and negotiate the media then, for that specific session. But once I register to the server, and it asks me for OPTIONS, then what should I supply, everything my client supports? once I answer it would it deduce that every INVITE I would request from now on would use these medias? or would I need to supply new media with every request?   Hi all, This is my first year learning C++ so bear with me. I am attempting to dynamically allocate memory to the heap and then delete the allocated memory. Below is the code that is giving me a hard time: // String.cpp #include "String.h" String::String() {} String::String(char* source) { this->Size = this->GetSize(source); this->CharArray = new char[this->Size + 1]; int i = 0; for (; i < this->Size; i++) this->CharArray[i] = source[i]; this->CharArray[i] = '\0'; } int String::GetSize(const char * source) { int i = 0; for (; source[i] != '\0'; i++); return i; } String::~String() { delete[] this->CharArray; } Here is the error I get when the compiler tries to delete the CharArray: 0xC0000005: Access violation reading location 0xccccccc0. And here is the last call on the stack: msvcr100d.dll!operator delete(void * pUserData) Line 52 + 0x3 bytes C++ I am fairly certain the error exists within this piece of code but will provide you with any other information needed.   Hello All, I have a big problem with Google Chrome and its memory. My app is displaying to user several image charts and reloads them every 10s. In the interval i have code like that var image = new Image(); var src = 'myurl/image'+new Date().getTime(); image.onload = function() { document.getElementById('myimage').src = src; image.onload = image.onabort = image.onerror = null; } image.src = src; So i have no memory leaks in Firefox and IE. Here the response headers for images Server Apache-Coyote/1.1 Vary * Cache-Control no-store (// I try no-cache, must-revalidate and so on here) Content-Type image/png Content-Length 11131 Date Mon, 31 May 2010 14:00:28 GMT Vary * taken from here In about:cache page there is no my cached images. If i enable purge-memory-button for chrome (--purge-memory-button parameter) it`s not help. Images is in PNG24. So i think that the problem is not in cache. May be Google Chrome is not releasing memory for old images. Please help. Any suggestions. Thanks.

  So I have a drop-down menu that shows on a click, as per business requirements. The menu becomes hidden again after you mouse away from it. But now I am being asked to have it stay in place until user clicks anywhere on the document. How can this be accomplished?
