• Get HttpResponse from a page in the same web application

  I have the following code: HttpWebRequest myHttpWebRequest = (HttpWebRequest)WebRequest.Create("http://mycomputer/myWebApp/WebPage2.aspx"); myHttpWebRequest.Credentials = CredentialCache.DefaultNetworkCredentials; HttpWebResponse myHttpWebResponse = HttpWebResponse)myHttpWebRequest.GetResponse(); The last line of code throws a (500) Internal Server Error... This code is part of myWebApp/WepPage1.aspx, yes both aspx pages are on the same webapp. What I want to accomplish is to get WebPage2.aspx html response, put it on an email and send it from WebPage1.aspx. I would really appreciate any tips.. Thanks!!!

• Using a Filter to serve a specific page?

  Hi, I am using a class which implements Filter for my jsp stuff. It looks like this: public class MyFilter implements Filter { public void doFilter(ServletRequest request, ServletResponse response, FilterChain chain) throws IOException, ServletException { request.getRequestDispatcher("mypage.jsp").forward(request, response); } } So the target, "mypage.jsp", is just sitting in my top-level directory. The filter works fine if I'm entering urls like: http://www.mysite.com/foo http://www.mysite.com/boo but if I enter a trailing slash, I'll get a 404: http://www.mysite.com/foo/ http://www.mysite.com/boo/ HTTP ERROR: 404 /foo/mypage.jsp RequestURI=/foo/mypage.jsp it seems if I enter the trailing slash, then the filter thinks I want it to look for mypage.jsp in subfolder foo or boo, but I really always want it to just find it at: http://www.mysite.com/mypage.jsp how can I do that? (for parameters) on all the dates, it throws an error. "Invalid Parameter Number" :D How can i make this work, within excel? Im using SQL Server and Microsoft Query Connection Data.

• Android file-creation fails.

  I use the following code to create a folder "mymir" and a file ".nomedia" (in the mymir-folder) on the sdcard of an android unit. However, somehow it fails with the exception that the folder the ".nomedia"-file is to be placed in dosn't exist.   Hi All, How do I use both include and join in a named scope? Post is polymorphic class Post has_many :approved_comments, :class_name => 'Comment' end class Comment belongs_to :post end Comment.find(:all, :joins => :post, :conditions => ["post.approved = ? ", true], :include => :post) This does not work as joins does an inner join, and include does a left out join. The database throws an error as both joins can't be there in same query.

• ASP.NET Connection time out after being idle for a while

  My ASP.NET website while trying to connect to the database for first time after a period of inactivity throws an time out exception. I understand the connections in the connection pool get terminated after some idle time for some reason (Firewall or Oracle settings) and the pool or app doesn't have a clue about it. Is there any way to validate the connection beforehand so that the first try doesn't throw an exception? I don't have much control over the DB or Firewall settings. So I have to deal with this is my application.(would prefer if there is any web.config settings) I am using: ASP.NET 2.0. Oracle server 11g, Microsoft Enterprise Library DAAB to do all my DB operations. I did some search on this topic but didnt find any solid solution for this yet :(

• Why aren't double quotes and backslashes allowed in strings in the JSON standard?

  If I run this in a JavaScript console in Chrome or Firebug, it works fine. JSON.parse('"\u0027"') // Escaped single-quote But if I run either of these 2 lines in a Javascript console, it throws an error. JSON.parse('"\u0022"') // Escaped double-quote JSON.parse('"\u005C"') // Escaped backslash RFC 4627 section 2.5 seems to imply that \ and " are allowed characters as long as they're properly escaped. The 2 browsers I've tried this in don't seem to allow it, however. Is there something I'm doing wrong here or are they really not allowed in strings? I've also tried using \" and \\ in place of \u0022 and \u005C respectively. I feel like I'm just doing something very wrong, because I find it hard to believe that JSON would not allow these characters in strings, especially since the specification doesn't seem to mention anything that I could find saying they're not allowed.

• [PHP.ini] Can't load mcrypt.dll dynamic library.

  Hey guys, I'm trying to load this module: php_mcrypt.dll' Everything in the php.ini file is correct, see for yourself: extension_dir = "C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext" extension=php_mcrypt.dll The file exists in this path. And other modules are in there as well and are loaded successfully. It only has a problem with this particular module. I have a 64bit Windows XP, Apache 2.2, PHP 5.2.13... But i get this warning (error.log of Apache): PHP Warning: PHP Startup: Unable to load dynamic library 'C:/PHP/5.2.13/ext\php_mcrypt1.dll' - The specified module could not be found.\r\n in Unknown on line 0 PHP itself is working fine. But one of our applications needs this module and it throws me this ugly error. Why on earth does it show me two backslashes in the log file?

I plan to use hazelcast to share the control logic (e.g. current counter) I see they provide BlockingQueue & ExectorService but I have no idea how to use in my case.   Hello, I'm currently working on an application where I need to load data from an SQL database and then assign the retrieved values into the properties of an object. I'm doing this by using reflection since the property names and column names are the same. However, many of the properties are using a custom struct type that is basically a currency wrapper for the decimal type. I have defined an implicit conversion in my struct: public static implicit operator Currency(decimal d) { return new Currency(d); } This works fine when I use it in code. However, when I have this: foreach (PropertyInfo p in props) { p.SetValue(this, table.Rows[0][p.Name], null); } It throws an ArgumentException stating that it cannot convert from System.Decimal to Currency. I'm confused since it works fine in any other circumstance.

• How is includegraphic interfering with tabular?

  I'm editing a text provided by my client as a LyX file that includes graphics and other files that I don't have. I've "commented out" the graphics by putting in a custom preamble that substitutes the file-loading definitions with macros that just quote their arguments. However, the \includegraphic macro throws up an error in the two tabular environments where it is used, complaining that \endfirsthead was never defined. What is this macro, and why is it interfering with mine?   I am building universal app which uses MPMoviePlayerViewController to play the video. Observing notification "MPMoviePlayerPlaybackStateDidChangeNotification". • C#: proprietary DLLs requiring access to my assemblies

  My solution uses a proprietary assembly, which when debugging the solution throws an Exception saying it can't find an assembly that is meant to be one of the projects in my solution. I cannot add a reference to the proprietary assembly because all I have is the DLL. When I compile everything into a single application directory and run the app it works fine, but I want to debug. Where should assemblies be placed if you want a proprietary assembly in the solution to see them? I assume the issue is that there is no path specified and it is just looking in a default directory of some kind.

If @status_dte < app_date Error Note: @status_dte is a variable stored as the status_dte from table1 However, I want it to throw an error when the EARLIEST status_dte from table 2 with a status_cde of 'Y' is less than the app_dte column in table 1. Keep in mind that this earliest date is not stored anywhere, the history of data changes per customer. Another customer might have the following history. Log_id customer_Id status_dte status_cde 01 002 2010-04-20 N 02 002 2010-04-18 N 03 002 2010-04-19 Y 04 002 2010-04-19 Y Any ideas on how I can approach this?

• How to test Calendar Event on emulator?

  Hi everybody, I am developing an application which requires to add Calendar event. I have written the code for inserting event to the calendar. But whenever i run my application, everytime i get error that "Fail to find provider info for Calendar" and it also throws me NullPointerException error. So, what it means and i found that emulator doesn't provide Calendar application in-built. I think if the Android Emulator doesn't have Calender API, so, naturally, it will not have any database URI in the emulator whereas the Contact has URI --"content://contacts/people". I also found the URI for Calendar as "content://calendar/calendars" but it doesn't work and it means that it gives me error cause of missing Calendar application. Can anybody clarify me, with suggestions regarding Calendar Event? Which is the way to test my application with Calendar Event? I really need your help. Please needful for the same. Thanks.   I am looking for something like TRYCAST in TSQL or an equivalent method / hack. In my case I am extracting some date data from an xml column. The following query throws "Arithmetic overflow error converting expression to data type datetime." if the piece of data found in the xml cannot be converted to datetime (in this specific case, the date is "0001-01-01" in some cases). • Rails: Display Maintenance Page if No Database Connection Available

  I'm looking for a solution that will allow my rails app to render a user-friendly maintenance page when there is no Mysql server available to connect to. Normally a Mysql::Error is thrown from the mysql connection adapter in active_record. Something like: /!\ FAILSAFE /!\ Wed May 26 11:40:14 -0700 2010 Status: 500 Internal Server Error Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/run/mysqld/mysqld.sock' Is there a low-overhead way to catch this error and render a maintenance page instead? I'm assuming that since connections are actually made in the active_record mysql adapter the app never makes it to the controller stack before it throws the error, so you can't catch it in a controller. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

• Catching constraint violations in JPA 2.0.

  Consider the following entity class, used with, for example, EclipseLink 2.0.2 - where the link attribute is not the primary key, but unique nontheless. @Entity public class Profile { @Id private Long id; @Column(unique = true) private String link; // Some more attributes and getter and setter methods } When I insert records with a duplicate value for the link attribute, EclipseLink does not throw a EntityExistsException, but throws a DatabaseException, with the message explaining that the unique constraint was violated. This doesn't seem very usefull, as there would not be a simple, database independent, way to catch this exception. What would be the advised way to deal with this? A few things that I have considered are: Checking the error code on the DatabaseException - I fear that this error code, though, is the native error code for the database; Checking the existence of a Profile with the specific value for link beforehand - this obviously would result in an enormous amount of superfluous queries.
