I got this code from some old linux source that I'm trying to compile on Windows. Any idea what the issue is?

  I have a website on Server A and it needs to find a directory on Server B.   I'm running a unit test using the Django framework and get this error. Running the actual code does not have this problem, running the unit tests creates a test database on the fly so I suspect the issue lies there. The code that throws the error looks like this member = Member.objects.get(email=email_address) and the model looks like class Member(models.Model): member_id = models.IntegerField(primary_key=True) created_on = models.DateTimeField(editable=False, default=datetime.datetime.utcnow()) flags = models.IntegerField(default=0) email = models.CharField(max_length=150, blank=True) phone = models.CharField(max_length=150, blank=True) country_iso = models.CharField(max_length=6, blank=True) location_id = models.IntegerField(null=True, blank=True) facebook_uid = models.IntegerField(null=True, blank=True) utc_offset = models.IntegerField(null=True, blank=True) tokens = models.CharField(max_length=3000, blank=True) class Meta: db_table = u'member' there's nothing too odd there i can see. the user running the tests has the same permissions to the database server as the user that runs the website where else can I look to see what's going wrong, why is this table not being created?

• DDE Server Windows:orcascr9.exe: Application Error

  Hello I've looked at the queries on SO that pertain to similar errors - but haven't found anything so far, to help with this particular problem I am having with an orcascript which I am running under Powerbuilder9.0. The orca script connects to an SCC service provider, does a full target refresh, and then is supposed to build the exe. It never gets to the last step though. The log is not very informative and simply says this at the point of failure: PBORCA_SccRefreshTarget. Full Rebuild Calling cm_rebuild_application(CM_REBUILD_FULL) While the script is at some way into this above step, it exits and throws up the DDE server error. Can someone help me figure this one out? I just barely know the basics of PB, and the intent of this exercise is to convert an IDE-based build that I inherited, into an orcascript build so that i can run the build unmonitored. • Why does a port occasionally stop listening? This happens only on occasion

  I have a Windows Service written in C# that listens on port 8591. I also have a web application hosted in IIS on the same server that makes request to the service. On occasion the port will stop listening and throws the following error: "No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it 127.0.0.1:8591". This happened 3 times in 2 months and just resolves itself. I can also fix it manually by restarting the service. I'm wondering if any one else has run into this problem and has possible suggestions to resolve. I'm a developer and have worked with our windows group extensively and they assure me there is no firewall or AV blocking the port on occasion. This is running on Windows Server 2008 R2. Very puzzled at what could be causing this to happen. Please let me know if you need more information.

  Hi there, I want to save data to my Sony Ericsson K750i. I know the phone implements FileConnection version 1.0. The list of roots taken from FileSystemRegistry.listRoots(); returns single element named "c:/". I want to save a file.txt just about anywhere, but preferably to the memory stick attached. Unfortunately, it doesn't seem to work. It throws an IOException without any message. I tried opening the fileconnection on numerous roots like c:/, C:/, /, ./, root1/, SDCard/, CFCard/, MemoryStick/ and perhaps some more but without any luck. The exception is thrown right after this line for any of those roots: FileConnection filecon = (FileConnection) Connector.open("file:///MemoryStick/file.txt"); Please, what URL should i use?

  Hello, I am using a fileContentResult to render a file to the browser. It works well except that it throws an exception when the fileName contains international characters. I remember reading somewhere that this feature does not support international characters but I am sure there mustbe a workaround or a best practice people follow in cases the application needs to upload files in countries other than US.   Is there a way to view stack elements like un-assigned return values or exceptions that not assigned to a local variable? (e.g. throw new ...) For example, suppose I have code along the lines of: public String foo(InputStream in) throws IOException { NastyObj obj = null; try { obj = new NastyObj(in); return (obj.read()); } finally { if (obj != null) obj.close(); } } Is there any way to view the return or exception value without stepping to a higher level frame where it is assigned? This is particularly relevant with exceptions because you often have to step back up through a number of frames to find an actual handler. I usually use the Eclipse debugging environment, but any answer is appreciated. Also, if this cannot be done, can you explain why? (JVM, JPDA limitation?)

• Why does this regular expression fail?

  I have a password validation script in PHP that checks a few different regular expressions, and throws a unique error message depending on which one fails. Here is an array of the regular expressions and the error messages that are thrown if the match fails: array( 'rule1' => array( '/^.*[\d].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one number.' ), 'rule2' => array( '/^.*[a-z].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one lowercase letter' ), 'rule3' => array( '/^.*[A-Z].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one uppercase letter' ), 'rule4' => array( '/^.*[~!@#$%^&*()_+=].*$/i', 'Password must contain at least one special character [~!@#$%^&*()_+=]' ) ); For some reason, no matter what I pass through the validation, the "Special Characters" rule fails. I'm guessing it's a problem with the expression. If there's a better (or correct) way to write these expressions, I'm all ears!

• ASP.Net MVC null reference exception with TextArea name

  Hello, I have a TextArea html helper method I'm calling in a foreach loop. Basically, when I initially load the View it works fine, but when i reload the View and load postback data, the same TextArea throws a NullReferencException and yet the variable I'm using in the TextArea as the name of the TextArea is not null. I've attached a picture below for demonstration: Sorry if it's difficult to see, the blue arrow below is pointing to the variable used to name the TextArea. Again, it works on initial load, but it errors out on postback when the page is reloaded. I'm not sure what's going on.

• Converting LDAP from Tomcat to GlassFish

  Hi, I have a simple web-app that is developed in Netbeans(6.8) and works fine in Tomcat(6) using LDAP(Active Directory). I need to convert this to an EE (JSF2), so I am moving from Tomcat to GlassFish(v3). I have changed the web files to xhtml and configured the xml files. However, I cannot get the GlassFish LDAP configuration to authenticate. I am attaching my old web.xml and server.xml (from Tomcat) snippets and the portions of the new web.xml, sun-web.xml, and the GlassFish configuration. If anyone can help me figure out where I am missing the piece that will allow a user to be authenticated, I would appreciate it. (btw, I am not using roles, just authenticating against the LDAP db is good enought.) As it is right now, my app will prompt me to enter a user when I try to access a file in the 'protected' area and the GlassFish server throws an exception when it fails to authenticate. Because it works under Tomcat, I know I have the right information, I just don't know how to format it to get GlassFish to pass it along. Thanks.   I am trying to read the authorization header for an HTTP request (because I need to add something to it), but I always get null for the header value. • Https in java ends up with strange results

  I'm trying to illustrate to students how https is used in java. But i have the feeling my example is not really the best out there... The code works well on my windows 7: I start the server, go to https://localhost:8080/somefile.txt and i get asked to trust the certificate, and all goes well. When I try over http (before or after accepting the certificate) I just get a blank page, which is ok for me. BUT when I try the exact same thing on my windows XP: Same thing, all goes well. But then (after accepting the certificate first), I'm also able to get all the the files through http! (if I first try http before https followed by accepting the certificate, I get no answer..) I tried refreshing, hard refreshing a million times but this should not be working, right? Is there something wrong in my code?   I am having trouble using EnumSet on the client side. I get this runtime error message: java.util.EnumSet.EnumSetImpl is not default instantiable (it must have a zero-argument constructor or no constructors at all) and has no custom serializer. Is this is a known issue? • JQuery Autocomplete CSS not working?

  I am trying to implement JQuery Autocomplete pluggi using Django. I've been able to wire the thing together and I can actually see the result back in the HTML template. My problem is that the JQuery Autocomplete CSS doesn't seem to work. The results I get are not well formatted/styled, and they have no background and you cannot even select them. What is it that am missing? I have these three files in my media folder same folder: autocomplete.js dimensions.js autocomplete.css In my html template I have the following function: $(function(){ setAutoComplete("tags", "tagResults", "/taglookup/?query="); }); My textfield looks like this; <input type="text" name="tags" value=""> Where do I put the tagResults in my HTML template document? Every time I try to introduce a DIV with id="tagResults", JQuery throws an error. Any ideas?

  It should be possible (and it looks like it is), but assume I have the following functions in my ASMX web service: [WebMethod(MessageName = "CreateExternalRpt1")] public bool CreateExternalRpt(int iProductId, int iOrderProductId, DateTime dtReportTime, string strReportTitle, string strReportCategory, string strReportPrintType, out string strSnapshot, string strApplicantFirst, string strApplicantLast, string strApplicantMiddle, string strOwnerLast, string strOwnerMiddle, string strOwnerFirst, bool blnCurrentReport, int iOrderId, bool blnFlag, string strCustomerId, string strUserId) { … } [WebMethod(MessageName = "CreateExternalRpt2")] public bool CreateExternalRpt(int iProductId, int iOrderProductId, DateTime dtReportTime, string strReportTitle, string strReportCategory, string strReportPrintType, string strReportSnapshot, string strApplicantFirst, string strApplicantLast, string strApplicantMiddle, string strOwnerLast, string strOwnerMiddle, string strOwnerFirst, bool blnCurrentReport, int iOrderId, bool blnFlag) { … } With both of these functions defined in my web service, my .NET client app can’t download the metadata and instead throws a generic error message “There was an error downloading…”. With one of the above methods removed, the .NET client app can successfully download the metadata. I’ve read that by decorating the WebMethod with a unique name, both functions should be exposed in the service metadata. This isn’t working. What am I missing?

• HQL join after output of subquery

  Hey, Say I have 3 classes class foo1 { List prop1;} class foo2 { foo3 prop2;} class foo3{ int Id;} now I want to select distinct foo2's from foo1 and get Id of foo3. I need to write a HQL stmt for the same. I tried the following select c.Id from (select distinct(a.prop1) from foo1.prop1 as a ) as b inner join b.prop2 as c This throws an 'Antlr.Runtime.NoViableAltException How do you suggest I should go about the same. Please note the inner subquery is working fine. So if I have made some mistakes in there please ignore that. I need a method to do the latter. Thanks in Advance.
