On some of the external pages I place a close button and i want to close the InAppBrowser itself. because InAppBrowser displays these pages that is why the reference of it is not accessed on itself to close it and Please do not suggest me to use ChildBrowser Plugin. window.close(); //Not Worked for me or iabRef.close(); //Also not Worked for me because iabRef is not accessible on InAppBrowser. It is created on Parent Window Some of the Android device and iOS device display a Done Button to close it. As well as the iPad also display the Done button. but in Case of Android tablet there is not any kind of button to close it. • PHP strtotime without leap-years

  With regards to this thread, I've developed a partial solution: function strtosecs($time,$now=null){ static $LEAPDIFF=86400; $time=strtotime($time,$now); return $time-((date('Y',$time)-1968)/4*$LEAPDIFF); } The function is supposed to get the number of seconds given a string without checking leap-years. It does this calculating the number of leap-years 1970 [(year-1986)/4], multiplying it by the difference in seconds between a leap-year and a normal year (which in the end, it's just the number of seconds in a day). Finally, I simply remove all those excess leap-year seconds from the calculated time. Here's some examples of the inputs/outputs: // test code echo strtosecs('+20 years',0).'=>'.(strtosecs('+20 years',0)/31536000); echo strtosecs('+1 years',0).'=>'.(strtosecs('+1 years',0)/31536000); // test output 630676800 => 19.998630136986 31471200 => 0.99794520547945 You will probably ask why am I doing a division on the output? It's to test it out; 31536000 is the number of seconds in a year, so that 19.99... should be 20 and 0.99... should be a 1. Sure, I could round it all and get "correct" answer, but I'm worried about the inaccuracies.

• Shuffle Two NSMutableArray independently

  I'm creating two NSMutableArray in my viewDidLoad, I add it in a NSMutableDictionary. When I tried shuffling it with one array, It is okay. But the problem is when Im shuffling two arrays independently its not working,somehow the indexes got mixed up.   I have a button on my main form which calls a method to serialize some objects to disk. So that means that somewhere in the objects I'm trying to save there must be a reference to the main form. The only possible references I can see are 3 delegates which all point to methods in the main form code. Do delegates get serialized as well? I can't seem to apply the [NonSerialized] attribute to them. Is there anything else I might be missing? Even better, is there a quick method to find the reference(s) that are causing the problem?

  I'm trying to make my code as generic as possible. I'm trying to parse install time of a product installation. I will have two files in the product, one that has time stamp I need to parse and other file tells the language of the installation. • getting an exception when refreshing the configuration in memory on change to external config file

  Hi, I have a windows service which reads the config settings from an external file which is located at a different path than the path to the executable for the windows service. the windows service uses a FileSystemWatcher to monitor the changes to the external config file and when it the config file is changed, it should refresh the settings in memory by reading the updated settings from the config file. but this is where I am getting an exception "ConfigurationErrorsException" and the message is "An error occurred creating the configuration section handler for appSettings: The process cannot access the file 'M:\somefolder\WindowsService1.Config' because it is being used by another process." and the inner exception is actually "IOException" with same message. here is the code. I am not sure what is wrong with the code. • stop android emulator call

  I am working on an Android application, having functionality like voicemail. I am using BroadcastReceiver to get dialing events. I have to get the event "WHEN CALL IS UNANSWERED (not picked after few rings) FROM RECEIVER". I will do some actions on caller end against this event. I am using AVD emulator, and I do call from one instance to another instance and it calls perfectly, but the problem is: It continuously calls until I reject or accept the call. This way I cannot detect that "CALL IS UNANSWERED AFTER A NUMBER OF RINGS". So I want the Caller emulator to drop the call after a number of rings (if unanswered) like a normal phone. I can do it (drop the call after some time) by writing some code, but I need the natural functionality of phone in the emulator. Can anyone please guide me? Is there any settings in the emulator? Or something else? • jQuery - animating 'left' position of absolutely positioned div when sliding panel is revealed

  Hello, I have a hidden panel off the left side of the screen which slides into view on the click of a 'tab' positioned on the left side of the screen. I need the panel to slide over the top of the existing page content, and I need the tab to move with it. and so both are absolutely positioned in css. Everything works fine, apart from I need the tab (and thus the tab-container) to move left with the panel when it is revealed, so it appears to be stuck to the right-hand-side of the panel. Its relatively simple when using floats, but of course this affects the layout of the existing content, hence absolute positioning. I have tried animating the left position of the panel-container (see the documented jquery function), but I cant get it to work.   I have a DATE column that I want to round to the next-lower 10 minute interval in a query (see example below). I managed to do it by truncating the seconds and then subtracting the last digit of minutes. • Can't get DataGridView to refresh over Linq to SQL (WinForm)

  Very strange situation here: I'm using L2S to populate a DataGridView. However, if someone is editing the grid and makes a mistake, I want them to be able to hit a refresh button and have their mistakes erased by reloading from the datasource. For the life of me, I can't get it to work. The code I am currently using on my refresh button is this: private void button1_Click(object sender, EventArgs e) { this.DataContext.Refresh(RefreshMode.OverwriteCurrentValues); RefreshUserGrid(); } But the damn GridView remains unaffected. All that happens is the selected row becomes unselected. I have tried .Refresh(), .Invalidate(), I've tried changing the DataSource to NULL and back again (all suggestions from similar posts here)....none of it works. The only time the Grid refreshes is if I restart the app. I must be missing something fundamental, but I'm totally stumped and so are my colleagues. Any ideas? Thanks!

  I am trying to create an array of 20 character strings with a maximum of 17 characters that are obtained from a file named "words.dat". After that the program should truncate the string only showing the first 17 characters and completely ignore the rest of that string. • WP7 - correctly timeing out an observable?

  WP7 APP Using an observable from event, I download the lateset weather from a web service. I tested this out on the phone and emulator at home and it works fine. I brought the project with me to work and ran it using the emulator there. Now i'm not sure it its a firewall or what but it doesn't seem to get the weather, it just sits there for ever trying. So it got me thinking that if there was ever to happen on a phone then I need some kind of timeout in that if it can't get the weather in say 10 - 15 seconds then just give up. Here is the example code so far IObservable<IEvent<MyWeather.GetWeatherCompletedEventArgs>> observable = Observable.FromEvent<MyWeather.GetWeatherCompletedEventArgs>(Global.WeatherService, "MyWeather.GetWeatherCompleted").Take(1); observable.Subscribe(w => { if (w.EventArgs.Error == null) { // Do something with the weather } }); Global.WeatherService.GetWeatherAsync(location); How can I get this to time out safely after a given time if nothing is happening?

• Entity Framework DateTime update extremely slow

  I have this situation currently with Entity Framework: using (TestEntities dataContext = DataContext) { UserSession session = dataContext.UserSessions.FirstOrDefault(userSession => userSession.Id == SessionId); if (session != null) { session.LastAvailableDate = DateTime.Now; dataContext.SaveChanges(); } } This is all working perfect, except for the fact that it is terribly slow compared to what I expect (14 calls per second, tested with 100 iterations). When I update this record manually through this command: dataContext.Database.ExecuteSqlCommand(String.Format("update UserSession set LastAvailableDate = '{0}' where Id = '{1}'", DateTime.Now.ToString("yyyy-MM-dd HH:mm:ss.fffffff"), SessionId)); I get 55 calls per second, which is more than fast enough. However, when I don't update the session.LastAvailableDate but I update an integer (e.g. session.UserId) or string with Entity Framework, I get 50 calls per second, which is also more than fast enough. Only the datetime field is terrible slow. The difference of a factor 4 is unacceptable and I was wondering how I can improve this as I don't prefer using direct SQL when I can also use the Entity Framework. I'm using Entity Framework 4.3.1 (also tried 4.1).

  I'm having a bit of a hard time figuring out, how to remove a drawn ellipse after it has been drawn somewhere else. I need a circle to follow my mouse all the time and this is all the program should do. • Not able to play videos (from youtube) in WebView

  I am using a webview to display a video (could be from youtube or vimeo) in my app. In order to not load the video webpages in the default Android Browser, I am also extending the WebViewClient so I can override the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method. This way the video webpage loads successfully in the WebView. However, when I click on the embedded video on the WebView, it does not play. If I do not override the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method, and let the video webpages load in the default Android browser, the videos work just fine. Any ideas why the videos are not working in the WebView? Also, the main reason why I overrode the shouldOverrideUrlLoading method is because if I do not do that, then when I exit the Android browser to come back to my activity (by hitting the back button on the phone), I see a white screen. Upon hitting the back button twice, I am able to get back to my Activity. I am using the emulator to do this test.   I am trying to display a singleton obj on two different Jframe, but it is displayed only in the Jframe in which the object is added at last ( in example Frame2). Other Jframe is empty. This Singleton class is inherited from Panel and contains a label in it.   Hi I have a couple outstanding questions mainly reguarding twitter and facebook In the FacebookGraph class there are properties such as Id,name,etc. I am wondering how do I add to this list? Like what happens if I want a users hometown? I tried to add a property called hometown but it always is null. What should I store their id(1418) or the whole url(http://www.facebook.com/profile.php?id=1418) for lookup later in my db to grab their data and to see if they have an account with my site? Is it actually good to use this id as it seems like it is common knowledge. Can't someone just find the profile id or whatever and do a fake request on my site? how do you setup dotnetopenauth to deal with the case when a user goes to facebook and deletes access to my website. I know you can send a deauthorization code to your site and then delete their account but I don't know how to do that through dotnetopenauth Twitter Is it possible to do number 4 with twitter? Ajax Is it possible to make the openid stuff ajax? I don't see a sample anywhere in the dotnetopenauth samples.
