I have a text field that stores a combination of three values, ':' delimited. (looks like A:B:C). I'd like to split those values into three actual columns in the table, but I'm not sure of the best way to go about doing this. I'm using sqlite3, any help super appreciated!

Change size of ImageIcon in a JRadioButton

I simply want to change the size (diameter) of the actual (default) ImageIcon of my JRadioButton. I've changed the size of the font displayed in the widget, so it really looks silly with such a large radiobutton. JRadioButton button = new JRadioButton("Button"); button.setFont(new Font("Lucida Grande",Font.PLAIN, 11)); gives me this giant button: Do I really have to create my own ImageIcon? Or can I somehow scale the default one, without too much of a hassle?

TCP sequence number question

This is more of a theoretical question than an actual problem I have. If I understand correctly, the sequence number in the TCP header of a packet is the index of the first byte in the packet in the whole stream, correct? If that is the case, since the sequence number is an unsigned 32-bit integer, then what happens after more than FFFFFFFF = 4294967295 bytes are transferred? Will the sequence number wrap around, or will the sender send a SYN packet to restart at 0?

What is the process of turning HTML into Postscript programmatically

I am trying to understand what the process is of turning HTML into a PDF/Postscript programmatically All Google searches turn up libraries to do this, but I am more interested in the actual process required. I know you could just set up a Postscript printer and print directly to that, but some of these libraries appear to create the PDF on the fly to allow previews etc. has anyone had any experience in this, or can provide any guidance?

can you deploy cruise control .net as a web service/web app?

I'm investigating the possibility of utilizing my web host as a cruise control.net build server. If I have access to MsBuild or can deploy msBuild and run it, it would be great. I can not however find any resources that would tell me if cruise control supports being run as a web service or web app. Is this type of deployment possible? If not could the UI (it's web-based I believe) control section sit on the web server and send requests to the actual build server?

polymorphism, inheritance in c# - base class calling overridden method?

This code doesn't work, but hopefully you'll get what I'm trying to achieve here. I've got a Money class, which I've taken from http://www.noticeablydifferent.com/CodeSamples/Money.aspx, and extended it a little to include currency conversion. The implementation for the actual conversion rate could be different in each project, so I decided to move the actual method for retrieving a conversion rate (GetCurrencyConversionRate) into a derived class, but the ConvertTo method contains code that would work for any implementation assuming the derived class has overriden GetCurrencyConversionRate so it made sense to me to keep it in the parent class? So what I'm trying to do is get an instance of SubMoney, and be able to call the .ConvertTo() method, which would in turn use the overriden GetCurrencyConversionRate, and return a new instance of SubMoney. The problem is, I'm not really understanding some concepts of polymorphism and inheritance yet, so not quite sure what I'm trying to do is even possible in the way I think it is, as what is currently happening is that I end up with an Exception where it has used the base GetCurrencyConversionRate method instead of the derived one. Any way to make dialogs appear/disappear with a transition in MFC?

For instance I have a main dialog, when I click a button a smaller dialog appears next to it. But it would be neat if the small one could somehow transition in, rather than simply appear. For instance using transparency, or zooming in, or sliding in from width=0 - full-width. Making an actual dialog do such things isn't too hard, but what about the controls within it? How might we approach this in a way that is reusable on different dialogs?

The following image shows the size of a standard custom page: I've intentionally removed the panel on top, where you usually see Caption, Description and Logo. So you can see that the actual size of the page is quite small - there are gaps on top, left and right sides. Is there any way to resize the page, so there are no gaps?
