  When I run maven install on my multi module maven project I always get the following output: [WARNING] File encoding has not been set, using platform encoding UTF-8, i.e. build is platform dependent! So, I googled around a bit, but all I can find is that I have to add <properties> <project.build.sourceEncoding>UTF-8</project.build.sourceEncoding> </properties> to my pom.xml. But it's already there (in the parent pom.xml). Configuring <encoding> for the maven-resources-plugin or the maven-compiler-plugin also doesn't fix it. So what's the problem?

  Is there an method to get the contents of a folder in a particular order? I'd like an array of file attribute dictionaries (or just file names) ordered by date modified. Right now, I'm doing it this way: get an array with the file names get the attributes of each file store the file's path and modified date in a dictionary with the date as a key Next I have to output the dictionary in date order, but I wondered if there's an easier way? • How to extract hhp file from a chm file

  Hi, I have an A.chm file for my windows application which runs as expected. When I decompile it using HTML workshop I get set of html files, .hhc file, .hhk file. When I compile another file B.chm from these extracted files without changing any of the files.((I want to add more html contents to this file but looks like I am losing some information after decompiling)) The output file I get is 72K where as the original file was 75K. B.chm's contents look all file when viewed in the chm viewer but the behavior is lost when when used with the application. After reading around I found that if .hhp can be extracted from a .chm file then it can be re-constructed as it is without losing any mapping or aliases. Is that true? How can I extract .hhp file from a .chm file? Thanks, Sam

• Using Regex, how can I remove certain characters from the inside of tags in a string of html?

  Suppose I have a string of html that contains a bunch of control characters and I want to remove the control characters from inside tags only, leaving the characters outside the tags alone. For example Here the control character is the numeral "1". Input The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <sp11a1n 1class1='jumpe111r'11>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog Desired Output The quick 1<strong>orange</strong> lemming <span class='jumper'>jumps over</span> 1the idle 1frog So far I can match tags which contain the control character but I can't remove them in one regex. I guess I could perform another regex on my matches, but I'd really like to know if there's a better way. It seems like it should be simple, but I haven't been able to find what looked like equivalent code anywhere. • My raycaster is putting out strange results, how do I fix it?

  I'm working on a raycaster in ActionScript 3.0 for the fun of it, and as a learning experience. I've got it up and running and its displaying me output as expected however I'm getting this strange bug where rays go through corners of blocks and the edges of blocks appear through walls.   I have a python list of lists as shown below: mylist=[ [['orphan1', ['some value1']]], [['parent1', ['child1', ['child', ['some value2']]]]], [['parent1', ['child2', ['child', ['some value3']]]]] ] I need to convert the above list to some thing like this: result=[ ['orphan1', ['some value1']], ['parent1', ['child1', ['child', ['some value2']]], ['child2', ['child', ['some value3']]]] ] Kindly help me approach this problem. I have given only simple list. In actual scenario here, in my list, even grand parents/grand childs are there. How much ever deep the input nested list is, I need to convert it to a single nested list, with common list elements (parents and grand parents) appearing only once. (but the next to innermost list element('child' in above example) should appear as many times it occurs in the input list. I have been trying to do this last two days, but did not end up with working solution :(. I need to use the output in django template filter: unordered_list so that the resultant nested list appears as a nested unordered list in my html page ..

Genshi replaces these with their UTF-8 character, which causes problems with the viewer (the output is used as a stand-alone file, not a response to a web request) that eventually sees the resulting HTML. Is there any way to prevent Genshi from parsing these entities? The more common ones like &amp; are passed through just fine.

  I had a problem and whipped up a quick solution: fade-in and fade-out a series of quotations. My solution works just as I want it in every browser except any of the IEs. The only problem with the IEs is that the text does not fade in and fade out; the text simply pops into existence. • Is there such a thing as a virtual COM port receipt printer?

  I'm debugging some code that writes directly to a COM port in order to print receipts on a receipt printer. The printer model is something like an Epsom TM-88. Instead of printing reams of thermal paper while debugging this code, it would be nice if I could use some kind of virtual printer. Like PDFCreator or FinePrint, but with a virtual COM port instead of a virtual windows printer. Does anyone know of such a thing? Edit: The code sends control characters to get bold text and other formatting. I'd like to see this in the output if possible.
