Another possibility would be to add some text at the right of the progress bar (I tryied with a but it comes in the line after)

  • HTML overflow:hidden doesn't format text correctly

    - by Rens Groenveld
    I'm working on a website for an American Football team. They have these newsitems on their front page which they can manage through a CMS system. I have a problem with alligning the text inside those news items. Two of the news items look like this: As you can see, the right newsitem text are displayed nicely. But the left cuts it off really bad. You can only see the top half of the text at the last sentence. I use overflow: hidden; to make sure the text doesn't make the div or newsitem bigger. Does anyone have any idea how to solve this through HTML and CSS or should I cut it off serverside with PHP? Here's my code (HTML): <div class="newsitem"> <div class="titlemessagewrapper"> <h2 class="titel" align="center"><?php echo $row['homepagetitel']; ?></h2> <div class="newsbericht"> <?php echo $row['homepagebericht']; ?> </div> </div> <div class="newsfooter"> <span class="footer_author"><a href=""><?php echo get_gebruikersnaam_by_id($row['poster_id']); ?></a></span> <span class="footer_comment"><a href="">Comments <span>todo</span></a></span> <a href="" class="footer_leesmeer">Lees meer</a> </div> </div> And here is the CSS: .newsitem{ float: left; height: 375px; width: 296px; margin: 20px 20px 0px 20px; background-color: #F5F5F5; } .newsitem .titel{ color:#132055; font-size:1.2em; line-height:1.3em; font-weight:bold; margin:10px 5px 5px 5px; padding:0 0 6px 0; border-bottom:1px dashed #9c0001; } .titlemessagewrapper{ height: 335px; overflow: hidden; } .newsitem .newsbericht{ padding:5px 5px 5px 5px; font-size: 0.8em; margin-bottom: 5px; } .newsitem .newsfooter{ width: 100%; height: 25px; background-color: #132055; margin: 0px auto; font-size: 0.8em; padding-top: 5px; margin-top: 10px; border: 1px solid #9c0001; }

  • Issue with XSL Criteria

    - by Rachel
    I am using the below piece of XSL to select the id of the text nodes whose content has a given index. This index value in input will be relative to a spcified node whose id value is known. The criteria to select the text node is, The text node content should contain a index say 'i' relative to node say 'n' whose id value i know. 'i' and 'id of n' is got as index and nodeName from the input param as seen in the xsl. Node 'd1e5' has the text content whose index ranges from 1 to 33. When i give an index value greater than 33 i want the below criteria to fail but it does not, [sum((preceding::text(), .)[normalize-space()][. >> //*[@id=$nodeName]]/string-length(.)) ge $index] Input xml: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" id="d1e1"> <head id="d1e3"> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=UTF-8" /> <title id="d1e5">Every document must have a title</title> </head> <body id="d1e9"> <h1 id="d1e11" align="center">Very Important Heading</h1> <p id="d1e13">Since this is just a sample, I won't put much text here.</p> </body> </html> XSL code used: <xsl:stylesheet xmlns:xsl="http://www.w3.org/1999/XSL/Transform" xmlns:xsd="http://www.w3.org/2001/XMLSchema" exclude-result-prefixes="xsd" version="2.0"> <xsl:param name="insert-file" as="node()+"> <insert-data><data index="1" nodeName="d1e5"></data><data index="34" nodeName="d1e5"></data></insert-data> </xsl:param> <xsl:param name="nodeName" as="xsd:string" /> <xsl:variable name="main-root" as="document-node()" select="/"/> <xsl:variable name="insert-data" as="element(data)*"> <xsl:for-each select="$insert-file/insert-data/data"> <xsl:sort select="xsd:integer(@index)"/> <xsl:variable name="index" select="xsd:integer(@index)" /> <xsl:variable name="nodeName" select="@nodeName" /> <data text-id="{generate-id($main-root/descendant::text()[sum((preceding::text(), .)[normalize-space()][. >> //*[@id=$nodeName]]/string-length(.)) ge $index][1])}"> </data> </xsl:for-each> </xsl:variable> <xsl:template match="/"> <Output> <xsl:copy-of select="$insert-data" /> </Output> </xsl:template> </xsl:stylesheet> Actual output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Output> <data text-id="d1t8"/> <data text-id="d1t14"/> </Output> Expected output: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <Output> <data text-id="d1t8"/> </Output> This solution works fine if index lies between 1 and 33. Any index value greater that 33 causes incorrect text nodes to get selected. I could not understand why the text node 'd1t14' is getting selected. Please share your thoughts.

  • Many DIVs inside parent DIV, CSS height issue

    - by Benjamin
    Hi everyone, I am putting together a dynamic photo gallery and getting stuck trying to place thumbnails. Basically I am trying to place each thumbnail and caption in its own DIV, floated to the left. The thumbnails are working just as I want them to but for some reason the parent DIV refuses to cover the height of the thumbnail area. Here is the CSS I am using.. #galleryBox { width: 650px; background: #fff; margin: auto; padding: 5px; text-align: center; } .item { display: block; margin: 10px; padding: 10px; float: left; background: #353535; min-width: 120px; } .label { display: block; color: #fff; } I have tried height: auto and that hasn't done anything. Here is what I am trying to style: <div id="galleryBox" class="ui-corner-all"> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> <div class="item ui-corner-all"> <img src="http://tapp-essexvfd.org/images/ajax-loader.gif" alt="test"/><br/> <p><span class="label">Testing</span></p> </div> </div> Thanks!

  • ie9/CSS: Flyout menu not working in ie9, but looks great in Firefox/Chrome

    Please see this flyout menu: http://www.caseen.com/store.html. It looks amazing in both Firefox and Chrome, but not in IE9! Trying to see what is going on =(. It looks like ie9 is completing ignoring the stylesheet, but in error checking and clicking ie9 direct mode, it shows up however VERY ugly with huge nasty white borders around the links! Please see my code: <div class="flyout"> <ul> <!--START: CATEGORIES--> <!--START: CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <li><a href="view_category.asp?cat=CATID">&nbsp;CATEGORY</a> <!--END: CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <ul><!--START: SUB_CATEGORY_FORMAT--> <li><a href="view_category.asp?cat=CATID">&nbsp;CATEGORY</a></li> <!--END: SUB_CATEGORY_FORMAT--></ul> <!--END: CATEGORIES--> </li> </ul> </div> AND CSS .flyout { width: 130px; height: auto; position:relative; margin: -10 0; padding: 0; z-index:10000; } .flyout ul li a { display:block; text-decoration:none; color: #fff; width: 130px; border: solid; border-color: #000; border-width: 0 0 0 5px; text-align:left; font-size:12px; line-height: 25px; } .flyout ul { padding:0px; list-style-type: none; } .flyout ul li { float:left; margin-right:1px; position:relative; } .flyout ul li ul { display: none; } .flyout ul li:hover a { border: solid; border-color: #fff; border-width: 0 2 0 5px; color: #60dfe5; } .flyout ul li:hover ul { display:block; position:absolute; top:0; left:130px; width:10px; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li a.hide { background:#000; color:#fff; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li:hover a.hide {width:180px;} .flyout ul li:hover ul li ul {display: none;} .flyout ul li:hover ul li a { display:block; background:#000; color:#60dfe5; width:200px; } .flyout ul li:hover ul li a:hover { background:#000; color:#fff; } Thanks, Brandon

  • Blogger issue with custom background images on Chrome and Safari

    - by hdx
    This is weird, the site in question is blog.andrebatista.info and it is a hosted at blogger.com. I'm trying to make the blogger template look the same as the one in my main website, www.andrebatista.info. For some reason if I go directly to the blog address Chrome and Safari fail to display all of my background images... all of them. However if I first go to www.andrebatista.info first and then go to the blog it renders just fine ?¿ The way I'm customizing it is by adding a link to my main site's stylesheet at the very end of the head tag on the blogger template. That stylesheet is displayed below: *{ margin:0; padding:0; border:0; } html,body { background:#064169 url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_gradient_slice.jpg) repeat-x; font-family: Arial, "MS Trebuchet", sans-serif; font-size:18px; } #main_wrapper{ margin: 0 auto; width:1024px; } #header{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/header.jpg); height:133px; border:none; margin:0; } #menu_wrapper{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/menu.jpg); height:34px; overflow:hidden; } #menu_wrapper .menu_item{ color:white; float: left; border: 1 px solid red; height: 34px; padding-top:10px; text-align:center; width:100px; } #menu_wrapper .first{ padding-left:240px; float:left; width:100px; } #menu_wrapper .active,#menu_wrapper .menu_item:hover{ background-color:white; color:Teal; cursor: pointer; } #content_area_wrapper{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/body_bg_slice.jpg) repeat-y; } #content_area{ min-height:524px; background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_content_top.jpg) repeat-x; } #main_banner{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/main_banner.jpg) no-repeat center center; width:662px; height:338px; margin: 0 auto; } #main_banner div{ color:white; padding-left:47px; padding-right:164px; padding-top:105px; } #text_area{ overflow:hidden; width:662px; margin:0 auto; padding:14px; } #contentList{ padding:0 20px 20px 20px; } #text_area .left{ width:50%; float:left; } #text_area .left{ width:50%; float:right; } #footer2{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/footer.jpg); height:62px; } #footer{ background: url(http://www.andrebatista.info/images/footer.jpg); height:62px; } Any ideas on what I could be missing?

  • Best way to get back to using the power of lxml after having to use a regex to find something in an

    - by PyNEwbie
    I am trying to rip some text out of a large number of html documents (numbers in the hundreds of thousands). The documents are really forms but they are prepared by a very large group of different organizations so there is significant variation in how they create the document. For example, the documents are divided into chapters. I might want to extract the contents of Chapter 5 from every document so I can analyze the content of the chapter. Initially I thought this would be easy but it turns out that the authors might use a set of non-nested tables throughout the document to hold the content so that Chapter n could be displayed using td tags inside a table. Or they might use other elements such as p tags H tags, div tags or any other block level element. After trying repeatedly to use lxml to help me identify the beginning and end of each chapter I have determined that it is a lot cleaner to use a regular expression because in every case, no matter what the enclosing html element is the chapter label is always in the form of >Chapter # It is a little more complicated in that there might be some white space or non-breaking space represented in different ways (  or   or just spaces). Nonetheless it was trivial to write a regular expression to identify the beginning of each section. (The beginning of one section is the end of the previous section.) But now I want to use lxml to get the text out. My thought is that I have really no choice but to walk along my string to find the close tag for the element that encloses the text I am using to find the relevant section. That is here is one example where the element holding the Chapter name is a div <div style="DISPLAY: block; MARGIN-LEFT: 0pt; TEXT-INDENT: 0pt; MARGIN-RIGHT: 0pt" align="left"><font style="DISPLAY: inline; FONT-WEIGHT: bold; FONT-SIZE: 10pt; FONT-FAMILY: Times New Roman">Chapter 1.&#160;&#160;&#160;Our Beginnings.</font></div> So I am imagining that I would begin at the location where I found the match for chapter 1 and set up a regular expressions to find the next </div|</td|</p|</h1 . . . So at this point I have identified the type of element holding my chapter heading I can use the same logic to find all of the text that is within that element that is set up a regular expression to help me mark from >Chapter 1.&#160;&#160;&#160;Our Beginnings.< So I have identified where my Chapter 1 begins I can do the same for chapter 2 (which is where Chapter 1 ends) Now I am imagining that I am going to snip the document beginning at the opening of the element that I identified as the element the indicates where chapter 1 begins and ending just before the opening of the element that I identified as the element that indicates where Chapter 2 begins. The string that I have identified will then be fed to lxml to use its power to get the content. I am going to all of this trouble because I have read over and over - never use a regular expression to extract content from html documents and I have not hit on a way to be as accurate with lxml to identify the starting and ending locations for the text I want to extract. For example, I can never be certain that the subtitle of Chapter 1 is Our Beginnings it could be Our Red Canary. Let me say that I spent two solid days trying with lxml to be confident that I had the beginning and ending elements and I could only be accurate <60% of the time but a very short regular expression has given me better than 95% success. I have a tendency to make things more complicated than necessary so I am wondering if anyone has seen or solved a similar problems and if they had an approach (not the details mind you) that they would like to offer.

  • Why am I getting 'Argument count mismatch' error here?

    - by Leon
    I have a Document class, Intro class and Nav class. The Intro class runs first, then sends a custom dispatch event to run the Nav class, but I'm getting this error: removed Intro ArgumentError: Error #1063: Argument count mismatch on com.secrettowriting.StanPlayer.ui::Navigation/addNav(). Expected 0, got 1. at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEventFunction() at flash.events::EventDispatcher/dispatchEvent() at com.secrettowriting.StanPlayer.display::Intro/removeIntro() at flash.utils::Timer/_timerDispatch() at flash.utils::Timer/tick() The addNav function in the Navigation class should expect 0 arguments/variables and I'm not sending any arguments/variables to it, which is why I'm confused as to why it's saying I'm getting 1. • In ASP.NET MVC, How do I make a partial view available to all controllers?

    - by Quakkels
    In ASP.NET MVC, How do I make a partial view available to all controllers? I want to create navigation that is common across the entire site, but when I place the Html.Action into my master page, it only works on views associated with 1 controller. Right now, I have a controller action defined like this: // GET: GetCategoriesPartial [ChildActionOnly] public ActionResult GetCategoriesPartial() { var category = CategoriesDataContext.GetCategories(); return PartialView(category); } And I've created my partial view like this: <%@ Import Namespace="wopr.Models" %> <%@ Control Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewUserControl" %> <ul> <% foreach (var cat in Model as IEnumerable<Category>) { %> <li><a href="/categories/Details/<%=cat.catID%>"><%=cat.catName%></a></li> <% } %> </ul> My Master Page looks like this: <%@ Import Namespace="wopr.Models" %> <%@ Master Language="C#" Inherits="System.Web.Mvc.ViewMasterPage" %> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.0 Transitional//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml1/DTD/xhtml1-transitional.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" > <head runat="server"> <title><asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="TitleContent" runat="server" /></title> <link type="text/css" rel="Stylesheet" href="/Content/Site.css" /> </head> <body> <div class="wrap-all"> <div style="text-align:right;"> <a href="/">Home</a> | <a href="/games/">Games</a> | <a href="/games/Index2/1">Games <em>(paginated)</em></a> | <a href="/categories/">Categories</a> | <a href="/upload/">Upload</a> </div> <asp:ContentPlaceHolder ID="MainContent" runat="server"> </asp:ContentPlaceHolder> <!--This errors on any non-CategoryController page.--> <%= Html.Action("GetCategoriesPartial")%> <!----> </div> </body> </html> This code works as long as I'm viewing something handled by the CategoriesController. If I go to any view handled by a different controller, I get the exception: System.Web.HttpException: A public action method 'GetCategoriesPartial' was not found on controller 'wopr.Controllers.GamesController'. How do I make this partial view available to all the site's controllers? Thanks for any help. Quakkels

  • How do I return a message if $_GET is null or does not match any database entries?

    - by CT
    I am working on designing an IT Asset database. Here I am working on a page used to view details on a specific asset determined by an asset id. Here I grab $id from $_GET["id"]; When $id is null, the page does not load. When $id does not match any entry within the database, the page loads but no asset table is printed. In both these cases, I would like to display a message like "There is no database entry for that Asset ID" How would this be handled? Thank you. <?php /* * View Asset * */ # include functions script include "functions.php"; $id = $_GET["id"]; ConnectDB(); $type = GetAssetType($id); ?> <!DOCTYPE html PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD XHTML 1.1//EN" "http://www.w3.org/TR/xhtml11/DTD/xhtml11.dtd"> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <meta http-equiv="Content-Type" content="text/html; charset=utf-8" /> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <title>Wagman IT Asset</title> </head> <body> <div id="page"> <div id="header"> <img src="images/logo.png" /> </div> </div> <div id="content"> <div id="container"> <div id="main"> <div id="menu"> <ul> <table width="100%" border="0"> <tr> <td width="15%"></td> <td width="30%%"><li><a href="index.php">Search Assets</a></li></td> <td width="30%"><li><a href="addAsset.php">Add Asset</a></li></td> <td width="25%"></td> </tr> </table> </ul> </div> <div id="text"> <ul> <li> <h1>View Asset</h1> </li> </ul> <br /> <?php switch ($type){ case "Server": $result = QueryServer($id); $ServerArray = GetServerData($result); PrintServerTable($ServerArray); break; case "Desktop"; break; case "Laptop"; break; } ?> </div> </div> </div> <div class="clear"></div> <div id="footer" align="center"> <p>&nbsp;</p> </div> </div> <div id="tagline"> Wagman Construction - Bridging Generations since 1902 </div> </body> </html>

  • How come my form input sometimes moves when I refresh the page?

    - by samoz
    On a page that I'm designing I have a form with one input of type text. Normally, this form and input render properly in my browser, Chrome, but occasionally, it renders about 20 pixels to the left of where it is supposed to be. When I refresh the page, it goes back to the original, correct place. I have only tested in Chrome so far, so this isn't a cross-browser issue (it happens in the same browser). Is there anything wrong with my code below? Here's my HTML code: <!DOCTYPE htmls> <html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml"> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" href="style.css" type="text/css" /> <title>Test Site</title> </head> <body > <div id="supercontainer" class="style1"> <img class="floater" src="top.jpg" alt="Top" /> <img class="floater" src="left.jpg" alt="Left" /> <div id="content"> <p id="theText"> Welcome. Please type a username. </p> <form id="prompt"> <div><input type="text" name="promptLine" autocomplete="off" id="promptLine" onkeypress="return submitenter(event);" value="% " /></div> </form> </div> <img class="floater" src="right.jpg" alt="Right" /> <img class="floater" src="bottom.jpg" alt="Bottom" /> </div> Here's my CSS code: #supercontainer { margin: 0 auto; width: 900px; display: block; } img.floater { display: inline; float: left; } #content { background-color:black; display: inline; float: left; padding-left:5px; padding-right:5px; min-height:458px; max-height:458px; min-width: 803px; max-width: 803px; color: lime; } #theText { text-align:left; margin-bottom:0; margin-top:0; line-height: 0.3; font-family:"Courier New", Courier, monospace; } #prompt { position: fixed; top: 470px; } #promptLine { width: 100%; background-color: black; color: lime; border: none; outline:none; }

  • background image disappears when position relative used in firefox

    - by toomanyairmiles
    So I'm trying to add a badge to the top right corner of a site I'm doing some work on. z-index works to float the object above the page content but each time i try to use position relative the background image disappears only position absolute shows the image. I don't really want to use absolute as the image needs to be positioned on the right hand side of the sites menu bar not the right hand side of the viewport. Any thoughts or advice appreciated <div class="badge-box"> <a href="http://www.google.com" class="badge">Book Now!</a> </div> <div id="header"> <a href="index.php"><img src="images/pixel.gif" width="378" height="31" alt="Welcome to Gwynfryn Farm Cottages" /></a> </div> <div id="main-menu"> <div> <a href="/">Home</a> <a href="/cottages.php">Our Cottages</a> <a href="/gwynfryn.php">Bed &amp; Breakfast</a> <a href="/rates.php">Price Guide</a> <a href="/llanbedr.php">Location &amp; Local Attractions</a> <a href="/news.php">News &amp; Special Offers</a> <a href="/contact.php">Contact Us</a> </div> </div> .badge-box { width: 1030px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; border: 0px solid red; } .badge { background: url(../images/badge.png) 0px 0px no-repeat; width: 148px; height: 148px; text-indent: -10000px; position: relative; z-index: 999; } #header { width: 960px; height: 40px; margin-left:auto; margin-right:auto; margin-top:20px; padding: 20px 0px 0px 20px; background: #58564f url(../images/header-top-background.png); } #main-menu { width: 980px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; height: 35px; /*background: red;*/ background: #58564f url(../images/header-bottom-background.png); font-family: Georgia, "Times New Roman", Times, serif; } #main-menu div { width: 776px; height: 35px; margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto; background: blue; } #main-menu div a { display: block; float: left; padding: 5px 10px 0px 10px; height: 30px; color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 1.2em; text-align: center; background: green; } #main-menu div a:hover { background-color: #333333; }

  • Search Form in Responsive Design - Remove Search button on Mobile

    - by Kevin
    I'm working with a search box in the header of a responsive website. On desktop/tablet widths, there's a search input field and a styled 'search' button to the right. You can type in a search term and either click 'SEARCH' button or just hit enter on the keyboard with the same result. When you scale down to mobile widths, the search input field fills the width of the screen. The submit button falls below it. On a desktop, clicking the button or hitting enter activate the search. On an actual iphone phone, you can hit the 'SEARCH' button, but the native mobile keyboard that rises from the bottom of the screen has a search button where the enter/return key would normally be. It seems to know I'm in a form and the keyboard automatically gives me the option to kick off the search by basically hitting the ENTER key location....but it says SEARCH. So far so good. I figure I don't need the button in the header on mobile since it's already in the keyboard. Therefore, I'll hide the button on mobile widths and everything will be tighter and look better. So I added this to my CSS to hide it in mobile: #search-button {display: none;} But now the search doesn't work at all. On mobile, I don't get the option in the keyboard that showed up before and if I just hit enter, it doesn't work at all. On desktop at mobile width, hitting enter also not longer works. So clearly by hiding the submit/search button, the phone no longer gave me the native option to run the search. In addition, on the desktop at mobile width, even hitting enter inside the search input box also fails to launch the the search. Here's my search box: <form id="search-form" method="get" accept-charset="UTF-8, utf-8" action="search.php"> <fieldset> <div id="search-wrapper"> <label id="search-label" for="search">Item:</label> <input id="search" class="placeholder-color" name="item" type="text" placeholder="Item Number or Description" /> <button id="search-button" title="Go" type="submit"><span class="search-icon"></span></button> </div> </fieldset> </form> Here's what my CSS looks like: #search-wrapper { float: left; display: inline-block; position: relative; white-space: nowrap; } #search-button { display: inline-block; cursor: pointer; vertical-align: top; height: 30px; width: 40px; } @media only screen and (max-width: 639px) { #search-wrapper { display: block; margin-bottom: 7px; } #search-button { /* this didn't work....it hid the button but the search failed to load */ display: none;*/ } } So.....how can I hide this submit button when I'm on a mobile screen, but still let the search run from the mobile keyboard or just run by hitting enter when in the search input box. I was sure that putting display:none on the search button at mobile width would do the trick, but apparently not. Thanks...

  • jQuery tabs error when used with jTemplates

    - by tessa
    I am using jTemplates to format data returned from a json query. I am trying to transform the div with the id "fundingDialogTabs" into jQuery tabs after the template is processed. It renders the tab buttons, but both fragment1 and fragment2 divs are showing at the same time. I get the error "jQuery UI Tabs: Mismatching fragment identifier" when clicking on the fragment2 tab. I tested the jQuery tabs code outside of the template and it works fine. Here is the template (saved in .tpl file). {#template MAIN} <div style="width:500px"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="fundingDialogTitle"> <tr> <td class="fundingDialogTitle">Funding Breakout</td> <td style="text-align:right"><img src="../../images/fscaClose.gif" onclick="CloseFundingDialog()" style="cursor:hand; width:25px; height:25px;"></td> </tr> </table> </div> <div style="padding:10px 10px 10px 10px; width:500px"> <div id="fundingDialogTabs"> <ul> <li><a href="#fragment1"><span>Source</span></a></li> <li><a href="#fragment2"><span>Line Item</span></a></li> </ul> <div id="fragment1"> <table border="0" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" id="fundingDialog"> <tr> <th>Funding Source</th> <th>Amount</th> </tr> {#foreach $T.d as fundingList} {#include ROW root=$T.fundingList} {#/for} </table> </div> <div id="fragment2"> Lorem ipsum dolor sit amet, consectetuer adipiscing elit, sed diam nonummy nibh euismod tincidunt ut laoreet dolore magna aliquam erat volutpat. Here is the code I am using to pull my usercontrol (content.ascx): Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles Me.Load 'load module If TheModule = "content" Then Dim control As UserControl = LoadControl("~\Modules\Content.ascx") Controls.Add(control) End If End Sub Within the usercontrol is the following code (data access taken care of by DAAB and ive replaced sql statements with 'sql'): Imports System.Data.SqlClient Imports System.Data Imports System.Web.Configuration Imports Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Common Imports Microsoft.Practices.EnterpriseLibrary.Data Partial Class Modules_WebUserControl Inherits System.Web.UI.UserControl Dim db As Database = DatabaseFactory.CreateDatabase() Dim command As SqlCommand 'database Dim reader As IDataReader 'general vars Dim pageid As Integer Dim did As Integer Dim contentid As Integer Dim dotpos As String Dim ext As String Dim content As String Dim folder As String Dim downloadstring As String Function getimage(ByVal strin As String) As String If strin > "" Then dotpos = InStrRev(strin, ".") ext = Right(strin, Len(strin) - dotpos) getimage = ext & ".gif" Else getimage = String.Empty End If Return getimage End Function Protected Sub Page_Load(ByVal sender As Object, ByVal e As System.EventArgs) Handles MyBase.Load, Me.Load 'test Response.Write("(1 Test from within page_load)") 'get session vars folder = Session("folder") pageid = Session("pageid") did = Session("did") 'main content command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("sql") db.AddInParameter(command, "@pageid", DbType.Int32, pageid) reader = db.ExecuteReader(command) While reader.Read If reader("content") IsNot DBNull.Value Then content = Replace(reader("content"), Chr(38) + Chr(97) + Chr(109) + Chr(112) + Chr(59) + Chr(98) + Chr(104) + Chr(99) + Chr(112) + Chr(61) + Chr(49), "") If reader("id") IsNot DBNull.Value Then contentid = reader("id") End If Else contentid = -1 content = String.Empty End If End While Outputcontent.Text = content 'contacts info If did = 0 Then command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("sql") db.AddInParameter(command, "@contentid", DbType.Int32, contentid) reader = db.ExecuteReader(command) While reader.Read() Contactinforepeater.DataSource = reader Contactinforepeater.DataBind() End While End If If Not did = 0 Then command = (db.GetSqlStringCommand("sql") db.AddInParameter(command, "@contentid", DbType.Int32, contentid) db.AddInParameter(command, "@did", DbType.Int32, did) reader = db.ExecuteReader(command) While reader.Read Contactinforepeater.DataSource = reader Contactinforepeater.DataBind() End While End If 'downloads box command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("sql") db.AddInParameter(command, "@contentid", DbType.Int32, contentid) reader = db.ExecuteReader(command) While reader.Read If reader("filename") IsNot DBNull.Value Then downloadstring += "<a href='/documents/" & folder & "/" & reader("filename") & "'>" downloadstring += "<img src=images/" & getimage(reader("filename")) & " border=0 align=absmiddle />" End If If reader("filesize") IsNot DBNull.Value Then downloadstring += Convert.ToInt32((reader("filesize") / 1000)) & "kb - " End If If reader("filename") IsNot DBNull.Value Then downloadstring += "<a href='/documents/" & Session("folder") & "/" & reader("filename") & "'>" & reader("description") & "</a><br />" End If End While Dim downloadsarray As ArrayList downloadsarray = New ArrayList If downloadstring IsNot Nothing Then downloadsarray.Add(downloadstring) End If If downloadsarray.Count > 0 Then DownloadsRepeater.DataSource = downloadsarray DownloadsRepeater.DataBind() End If 'get links command = db.GetSqlStringCommand("sql") db.AddInParameter(command, "@contentid", DbType.Int32, contentid) reader = db.ExecuteReader(command) While reader.Read Linksrepeater.DataSource = reader Linksrepeater.DataBind() End While End Sub End Class Now instead of seeing my page content and what should be within the repeaters on the page all I get is 2 x the output of Response.Write("(1 Test from within page_load)") (1 Test from within page_load)(1 Test from within page_load) This leads me to believe the page_load is firing twice, but not properly displaying all the information. Please can one of you willing experts help me to get this working? Thanks a lot in advance

  • Html LogIn form not functioning

    - by Tony C
    Ok, I have a login form that looks like this: <form id="loginForm" name="loginForm" method="post" action="login-exec.php"> <table width="300" border="0" align="center" cellpadding="2" cellspacing="0"> <tr> <td width="112"><b>Login</b></td> <td width="188"><input name="login" type="text" class="textfield" id="login" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td><b>Password</b></td> <td><input name="password" type="password" class="textfield" id="password" /></td> </tr> <tr> <td>&nbsp;</td> <td><input type="submit" name="Submit" value="Login" /></td> </tr> </table> </form> Now, This form is on a page in a directory called members. When i put it on a page in the home directory and change the action to "members/login-exec.php" When I try to logIn it just refreshes the page, but the name of the page in the browser changes to the actions taking place in the form. Any ideas on making this work guys? EDIT, heres the login-exec.php code: <?php //Start session session_start(); //Include database connection details require_once('config.php'); //Array to store validation errors $errmsg_arr = array(); //Validation error flag $errflag = false; //Connect to mysql server $link = mysql_connect(DB_HOST, DB_USER, DB_PASSWORD); if(!$link) { die('Failed to connect to server: ' . mysql_error()); } //Select database $db = mysql_select_db(DB_DATABASE); if(!$db) { die("Unable to select database"); } //Function to sanitize values received from the form. Prevents SQL injection function clean($str) { $str = @trim($str); if(get_magic_quotes_gpc()) { $str = stripslashes($str); } return mysql_real_escape_string($str); } //Sanitize the POST values $login = clean($_POST['login']); $password = clean($_POST['password']); //Input Validations if($login == '') { $errmsg_arr[] = 'Login ID missing'; $errflag = true; } if($password == '') { $errmsg_arr[] = 'Password missing'; $errflag = true; } //If there are input validations, redirect back to the login form if($errflag) { $_SESSION['ERRMSG_ARR'] = $errmsg_arr; session_write_close(); header("location: login-form.php"); exit(); } //Create query $qry="SELECT * FROM members WHERE login='$login' AND passwd='".md5($_POST['password'])."'"; $result=mysql_query($qry); //Check whether the query was successful or not if($result) { if(mysql_num_rows($result) == 1) { //Login Successful session_regenerate_id(); $member = mysql_fetch_assoc($result); $_SESSION['SESS_MEMBER_ID'] = $member['member_id']; $_SESSION['SESS_FIRST_NAME'] = $member['firstname']; $_SESSION['SESS_LAST_NAME'] = $member['lastname']; session_write_close(); header("location: members.php"); exit(); }else { //Login failed header("location: login-failed.php"); exit(); } }else { die("Query failed"); } ?>

  • jQuery gallery scrolling effect with ease

    - by Sebastian Otarola
    So, I got this page from a friend and I think the gallery is amazingly done. Too bad it's in Flash ; http://selected.com/en/#/collection/homme/ Now, I'm trying to replicate the effect with jQuery. I've made all the loco searches on google one could think of. Zooming the picture is not a problem, the problem lies within the scrolling, how they come together at the ease part. I'm looking for solution in how to make the thumbnail animate when you scroll the page, they drag behind and infront of each other in a very subtle way - I've got (With a lot of help from Whirl3d in the jQuery-irc channel) this for the scrollup/down part of the mouse but the scrolling goes haywire; I Thought I post it here where I've come many times to get answers to a lot of questions and code-errors. This is my first post in stackoverflow and I know you guys are geniuses! Give it a shot! Thanks in advance! jQuery Part $(document).ready(function() { var fronts=$(".front"); var backs=$(".back"); var tempScrollTop, currentScrollTop = 0; $(document).scroll(function () { currentScrollTop = $(document).scrollTop(); if (tempScrollTop < currentScrollTop) { //Scroll down fronts.animate({marginTop:"-=100"},{duration:500, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); backs.animate({marginTop:"-=100"}, {duration:300, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); console.log('scroll down'); } else if (tempScrollTop > currentScrollTop) { //scroll up fronts.animate({marginTop:"+=100"},{duration:500, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); backs.animate({marginTop:"+=100"}, {duration:300, queue:false, easing:"easeOutBack"}); console.log('scroll up'); } tempScrollTop = currentScrollTop ;}) ;}); The HTML <html> <head> <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="style.css" /> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://code.jquery.com/jquery-1.7.2.min.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="http://www.paigeharvey.net/assets/js/jquery.easing.js"></script> <script type="text/javascript" src="gallery.js"></script> <title>Parallax testing image gallery</title> </head> <body> <div class="container"> <div class='box front'>First Group</div> <div class='box back'>First Group</div> <div class='box front'>First Group</div> <div class='box back'>First Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> <div class='box front'>Second Group</div> <div class='box back'>Second Group</div> <div class='box front'>Second Group</div> <div class='box back'>Second Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> <div class='box front'>Third Group</div> <div class='box back'>Third Group</div> <div class='box front'>Third Group</div> <br style="clear:both"/> </div> </body> And finally the CSS Part .container {margin: auto; width: 410px; border: 1px solid red;} .box.front{border: 1px solid red;background-color:Black;color:white;z-Index:500;} .box.back {border: 1px solid green;z-Index:300;background-color:white;} .box {float:left; text-align:center; width:100px; height:100px;}
