• Functions connected to signals in QtScript (on Qt 4.5.2) are not firing

  I've injected into a proprietary Qt (4.5.2) application, added my own compatible build of QtScript, and have managed to get access to all the signals I need. However, when connecting to them (via QtScript) my functions are never called. I've come up with a few theories for why this is and I've tested everything I can think of, but I've hit a bit of a wall. Note, I've never had any connection exceptions whatsoever. Here are my current theories: The signals I'm connecting to are already connected to other slots, and that's somehow blocking it (but as far as I know, all Qt signals fire to all slots with no extra work, and can't be restricted in this way) The signals are rejecting my connection, or disconnecting me after connection (but I see no facility for this) My connection is happening from another thread, and this is somehow causing it not to connect properly Are any of these theories plausible? If not, what have I missed?

• Can't get msbuild.exe path correct with Hudson's MSBuild plugin

  I have the msbuild plugin installed on my Hudson server, and it's attempting to execute the command, but for some reason the path I'm setting in my configuration is not being used when the msbuild task gets fired. I have the following set in the configuration of hudson's msbuild plugin: Path To msbuild.exe C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\Framework\v3.5\msbuild.exe I left the name property blank. When I do a build it outputs this: Executing command: cmd.exe /C msbuild.exe /p:Configuration=Release ... Which I know is wrong because all the other examples show the [msbuild.exe] part fully qualified. I've been searching everywhere trying to figure out why this isn't getting set properly and I've hit a brick wall. Does anyone know how to fix this?

  I have a column in the a database with values like the below. [{"noteText":"Today was sunny.","noteDate":"2010-03-30 10:06:22"},{"noteDate":"2010-04-06 13:21:36","noteText":"Today was windy."}] I think they are from an array of objects serialized via flash to Json. What I need to do is pull out the noteText and noteDate values only and record them back to the database as a normal string. I was hoping to just deserialize back to objects and build up a string from there, however, due to my unfamiliarity with c# and .Net I've hit a brick wall trying to deserialize the string. var obj = jsonSerializer.DeserializeObject(ns); Am I going in the right direction or should I be looking at doing some string manipulation? Any pointers much appreciated.

The facebook sharer has 2 views: Post to profile (default view) : And when you click on "send as a Message instead you get : What I'm trying to do is to have the 2nd view (send a message) as the default one. So when the user clicks 'Share this', it would show him directly the "send a message" view. Is that even possible using facebook? or anything else? maybe executing js code after the popups opens ? • Generating a KML heatmap from given data set of [lat, lon, density]

  I am looking to build a static KML (Google Earth markup) file which displays a heatmap-style rendering of a few given data sets in the form of [lat, lon, density] tuples. A very straightforward data set I have is for population density. My requirements are: must be able to feed in data for a given lat, lon must be able to specific the given density of the data at that lat, lon must export to KML The requirements are language agnostic for this project as I will be generating these files offline in order to build the KML used elsewhere. I have looked at a few projects, most notably heatmap.py, which is a port of gheat in Python with KML export. I have hit a brick wall in the sense that the projects I have found to date all rely on building the heatmap from the density of [lat, lon] points fed into the algorithm. If I am missing an obvious way to adapt my data set to feed in just the [lat, lon] tuples but adjusting how I feed them using the density values I have, I would love to know!

  I'm using Microsoft Open XML SDK 2 and I'm having a really hard time inserting a date into a cell. I can insert numbers without a problem by setting Cell.DataType = CellValues.Number, but when I do the same with a date (Cell.DataType = CellValues.Date) Excel 2010 crashes (2007 too). I tried setting the Cell.Text value to many date formats as well as Excel's date/numeric format to no avail. I also tried to use styles, removing the type attribute, plus many other pizzas I threw at the wall... Can anyone point me to an example inserting a date to a worksheet? Thanks,

  I´ve tried a couple of different ways to deploy a application to a IIS 7.5 running on my machine for testing purposes and i´ve sort of hit a wall. Nothing works out of the box. Everything assumes I have knowledge I don't have and would prefer not to have to aqquire. Google isn't really helping either with answers ranging from "copy files by hand" to "install teamcity and set it up for CI". I have set up TeamCity for java projects before and it's really over kill for my needs at the moment. So anyone know of a fast, simple and easy way to deploy a application during testing/building?

Does it matter? Or is there another reason why the parameters are not passed into the Browse method?

  Hi gang, Using OpenSSO as an identity provider, what should I do (i.e. with FedUtil.exe) to configure my .NET relying party so that it will do the STS dance? I've gotten OpenSSO's WS-Trust client samples running, so I think OSSO's in a good state and ready for the next step. I'm at the FedUtil.exe's "Use an existing STS" wall. Where do I get the STS WS-Federation metadata document for OpenSSO?   Hi Guys, I have a confusion about the timestamp of h264 RTP packet. I know the wall clock rate of video is 90KHz which I defined in the SIP SDP. The frame rate of my encoder is not exactly 30 FPS, it is variable. It varies from 15 FPS to 30 FPS on the fly. So, I cannot use any fixed timestamp. Could any one tell me the timestamp of the following encoded packet. After 0 milisecond encoded RTP timestamp = 0 (Let the starting timestamp 0) After 50 milisecond encoded RTP timestamp = ? After 40 milisecond encoded RTP timestamp = ? After 33 milisecond encoded RTP timestamp = ? What is the formula when the encoded frame rate is variable? Thank you in advance.

  Hi everyone, just curious if you know of any way to setup a drag boundary for a window? It would be nice to have these properties: Me.MinLeft = 10 Me.MinTop = 10 Me.MaxLeft = 150 Me.MaxTop = 150 Those are made up properties, btw, which would be nice to have. I know I could probably setup a timer to fire ever 10th of a second and check the left and top and then move it back if it's over. But it would be more elegant to have the window act like it hit a wall and can't go any farther, like moving to the edge of the screen or something similar. Edit: There seems to be some confusion somewhere, the point I'm trying to make is in the paragraph above, dragging, not re-sizing.

  Background: I am working on a project written in a mix of C and Fortran 77 and now need to link the LAPACK/BLAS libraries to the project (all in a Linux environment). The LAPACK in question is version 3.2.1 (including BLAS) from netlib.org. The libraries were compiled using the top level Makefile (make lapacklib and make blaslib). Problem: During linking, error messages claimed that certain (not all) BLAS-routines called from LAPACK-routines were undefined. This gave me some headache but the problem was eventually solved when (in the Makefile) the order of appearance of the libraries to be linked was changed. Code: In the following, (a) gives errors while (b) does not. The linking is performed by (c). (a) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a (b) LIBS = $(LAPACK)/lapack_LINUX.a $(LAPACK)/blas_LINUX.a (c) gcc -Wall -O -o $@ project.o project.a $(LIBS) Question: What could be the reason for the undefined references of only some routines and what makes the order of appearance relevant?

  I apologize if this has already been answered, but all the information out there on Facebook publishing is so confusing and conflicting, I haven't been able to get anything to work yet. I'm trying to set up an application that runs on my local server to publish content to my organization's fan page (this will tie in with my WCMS to cross-post content). I believe I want a Facebook Connect application to do this which I've set up properly in Facebook and gotten an application key and secret. Here's the code I'm trying to execute, but each time it's run I get "User has not authorized access" even if I'm just trying to publish to the application wall.   Hey, long story short I have inherited some terrible code. As a result a string comparison is buggy when comparing dates due to the format of the date. I am trying to convert the date to a valid DateFormat syntax so I can run a proper comparison. These are some samples of the current format: 12/01/10 at 8:00PM 12/31/10 at 12:00PM 12/10/09 at 5:00AM and so forth. I'd like to convert this to a YYYYMMDDHHMM format i.e 201012012000 for comparison purposes. If anyone can give me a quick regex snippet to do this that'd be appreciated as right now i'm hitting a brick wall for a regex. I can do it by exploding the string over several times etc but I'd rather do it in a more efficient manner. Thanks!

Although the code runs, I don like the have unresolved warnings when compiling. How can i solve this?

• Linking C and CXX files in CMake

  Hi I'm building C++ app with CMake. But it uses some source files in C. Here is simplified structure: trunk/CMakeLists.txt: project(myapp) set(CMAKE_CXX_FLAGS "${CMAKE_C_FLAGS} -g -Wall") add_subdirectory (src myapp) trunk/src/main.cpp: #include "smth/f.h" int main() { f(); } trunk/src/CMakeLists.txt: add_subdirectory (smth) link_directories (smth) set(APP_SRC main) add_executable (myapp ${APP_SRC}) target_link_libraries (myapp smth) trunk/src/smth/f.h: #ifndef F_H #define F_H void f(); #endif trunk/src/smth/f.c: #include "f.h" void f() {} trunk/src/smth/CMakeLists.txt set (SMTH_SRC some_cpp_file1 some_cpp_file2 f) add_library (smth STATIC ${SMTH_SRC}) The problem is: i run gmake, it compiles all the files and when it links all libs together, i get: undefined reference to `f()` in main.cpp if i rename f.c into f.cpp everything goes just fine. What's the difference and how to handle it? Thanks

• Error installing gst-python through Homebrew

  I'm trying to install gst-python and it errors with: brew install gst-python Warning: Your Xcode (4.2.1) is outdated Please install Xcode 4.5.2. ==> Downloading http://gstreamer.freedesktop.org/src/gst-python/gst-python-0.10. Already downloaded: /Library/Caches/Homebrew/gst-python-0.10.22.tar.bz2 ==> ./configure --prefix=/usr/local/Cellar/gst-python/0.10.22 configure: set WARNING_CFLAGS to -Wall -Wdeclaration-after-statement -Wpointer-arith configure: set ERROR_CFLAGS to checking for valgrind... no checking for libraries required to embed python... no configure: error: could not find Python lib This is all after I removed the default OSX python and re-installed it with Homebrew, I've edited /etc/paths and python is working well. I just can't install the package above (gst, pygtk is successfully installed). i was told that I need to install python-devel but I have no idea where from. I'm using OSX Lion 10.7.5 With Python 2.7.3

• How do I set scons system include path

  Using scons I can easily set my include paths: env.Append( CPPPATH=['foo'] ) This passes the flag -Ifoo to gcc However I'm trying to compile with a lot of warnings enabled. In particular with env.Append( CPPFLAGS=['-Werror', '-Wall', '-Wextra'] ) which dies horribly on certain boost includes ... I can fix this by adding the boost includes to the system include path rather than the include path as gcc treats system includes differently. So what I need to get passed to gcc instead of -Ifoo is -isystem foo I guess I could do this with the CPPFLAGS variable, but was wondering if there was a better solution built into scons.
